I bought this game for $15, and I'm still not sure if it's worth it. Super-repetitive, clunky controls, and downright broken in spots. The initial overload of gore was fun for half an hour, but then you've gotta play a half-broken version of a game that's not that great to begin with. Avoid-- you can find much better action or adventure games in the discount bin.

This game is weird, i dont like it! It was too much that it did my head in . i would stick to devil may cry series instead or even watch spawn. Fml

Considering this game would have cost you a 60 dollars back in the day i find it utterly crazy that allot of people are excusing the shear lack of effort put in this game, its nice they added the older games but thats not what the review is about.
The main game is just repetive and clunky, mainly the 3d sections but even the 2d one's dont compare to the older splatterhouse games.

If it was a 10 dollar download only game i might give it like a 6 at best.

It's too bad that Splatterhouse couldn't be brought to this console generation and become a competitive franchise.

Big, stupid and, at times, unpleasant. But despite that it can be gruesome fun. [Feb 2011, p.82]

In this day and age, there is no way a game like Splatterhouse could have the shock value it so obviously yearns for, not to mention that all the blood in the world couldn't cover up its various deficiencies.
