Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaA lacking update from the 2007 collection. Not sure it's needed. [Apr 2009, p.76]

Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection is a collection of almost fifty games. Most of them are well worth playing. The nostalgic feeling is great and a lot of bonus material can be unlocked. The only two downsides are that none of the games has an online multiplayer and that half of the games are already downloadable.

For what Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection lacks in quality, it at least partially makes up for by its sheer quantity of emulated games.

This collection is a pretty decent compilation with some of the best titles the Mega Drive has seen. If you're one of those gamers that is still longing for the glory days of the 16 bit era then you shouldn't miss out on this title. If you're not, keep in mind that the games on this disc offer you nothing more than the games like they where back in the days. Meaning outdated graphics and squeeky noises. Something a real fan would die for.

PSM3 Magazine UKThey have trophy support though, which is nice. [Apr 2009, p.78]
