    How to describe this game? It forgets your typical storyline and just goes for all out fun.
    If you want fun and nothing but fun, this is it.    How to describe this game? It forgets your typical storyline and just goes for all out fun.
    If you want fun and nothing but fun, this is it. Oh, GTA is too serious, or the storyline bores you? SR IV is the exact opposite and in all the best ways.
    So over the top! The graphics work well, the DLC is fun and worth it if you get this game cheap(13$ on PSN Sale)
    The gameplay, as insane as the game is, works well. Oh, whip out a tentacle bat and knock some one across the city block and then switch to super speed and run up the side of a building? I don't know what is more fun, the weapons or the Super Powers!
    And the side stuff like the breaking of the simulation is a nice addition to break up the general mayhem. You can also change your character. I don't mean haircut or clothes, I mean start a white man and change to a Hispanic Woman, and no one bats an eye.

    The creators seemed to go "Ok, what makes a game fun?" And just did that. Didn't worry about story or critics, just said screw it and made it fun.    … Expand

Coming from Saints Row The Third: The Full Package, I was expecting this game to be the same or better but what I get is a game than is less fun. I don't mind the same city but I do mind how the game doesn't store any surprises like it did with SR3. To screw with the antagonist, all it requires was creating mayhem. And that's all this game ever does.

    The game starts off great, with the potential to reveal more and while it does reveal some old-school type of missions, it wasn't enough to cover that this is a dull game; less thought out than SR3.

    The conversations weren't as interesting or funny like it was in SR3; if anything, some missions kind of reminded players of the more interesting events that happened prior to SRIV especially Saints Row 2. I'll be honest, I'm much more interested in SR2 that I am in SRIV after playing and completing SRIV.

    While superpowers are awesome to have, players may feel bored quickly and may question what's the purpose of some missions where the superpowers are turned off.

    Music, either the radio station tracks or the game music itself, has also weakened a bit here. Where in SR3, music is enjoyable to listen, some are action-inspiring, in SRIV, the game plays and feels better without any music at all.

    Then there are no cribs or to be exact, upgradable cribs; not even a way to restore any destroyed cribs. A step down from SR3. It made this game at the same level as the game Prototype where you don't need any safehouses as you only required to make as many destruction as you can.

    All in all, don't treat this game as a full-fledged sequel; rather as a rushed DLC/expansion pack as it was planned to be. If you're expecting this to be as fun as SR3, you're in for a disappointment.    … Expand

The graphics are ugly, driving is terrible and it's the same old boring, lifeless world. The superpowers are a lot of fun, but there's no challenged to this game because of said superpowers, especially since this version comes with so many big weapons from the start. The side quests are boring. You just end up going around doing all the icon stuff on the map as side quests, instead of actually doing unique things. This maybe fun for a 15 year old, but I'm not 15.… Expand
