Pelit (Finland)An interesting thinking man’s shoot ’em up. Too bad the enemies blend to backgrounds a little bit too well on some levels. The timelimits are mostly unnecessary. [Sept 2007]

Play UKInnovative levels and a great soundtrack. [Issue#155, p.92]

A curious game that will seem a little uncomfortable to some factions of both the shmup fanboys and casual players. Still, it is a great piece of software that manages to offer plenty of variation through well-designed level objectives, and at a price you can afford with pocket change.

BoomtownIt’s certainly not the most incredible PS3 experience out to date, and if you’re going to buy just one PSN game, I’d say unequivocally go for Super Stardust HD, but if you’re a fan of that kind of shooter and fancy a challenge, Nucleus remains a unique, challenging, entertaining if simplistic shooter.

PSM3 Magazine UKIt's not a very pleasant experience and there just isn't enough fun to persuade you that you're spending your time wisely. [July 2007, p.84]
-
You've got to give Nucleus a bit of credit for not just being a pure Robotron clone, but its oddball take on the dual-stick shooter isn't much fun.

Playstation Official Magazine UKAvoid this like you would a back street endoscopy. [July 2007, p.114]

StephaneJ.Jul 25, 2007How can Geometry Wars be rated above this title? It has the same control system but adds a lot of variety. Great fun at a sweet price.
