Excellent presentation, amazing gameplay and a great soundtrack. Pick this up if you're a fan of the stealth genre or metal gear solid. First I would like to mention that i have finished the main story and have logged close to 100 hours. Even with a few flaws The Phantom PainFirst I would like to mention that i have finished the main story and have logged close to 100 hours. Even with a few flaws The Phantom Pain is still an amazing game. Also probably one of the largest games in terms of scale and rivals GTA 5. I have been playing Metal Gear for the last 20 years and am blow away by how far it has come. I would strongly recommend playing Ground Zeroes before starting The Phantom Pain.

Also I find some of the negativity towards this game ridiculous. The number one complaint for Metal Gear Solid 4 was the cut scenes were too long. Well now it seems people are complaining they are too short. Another one is the open world feels empty!? Seriously what where you expecting to find in the middle of a desert in Afghanistan? Or they didn't like having to chopper in and out? Your in enemy territory for god sake.

Snake....Snake....SNAKE!!! After years of similar open world titles (Far Cry is the best example), I thought Metal Gear Solid would seem staleSnake....Snake....SNAKE!!! After years of similar open world titles (Far Cry is the best example), I thought Metal Gear Solid would seem stale after all these years. But no. Metal Gear is the best strategic, stealth game in ages. Yes, the controls have been revamped, but they don't harm gameplay at all. Glad that the title was released to us ol' PS3 owners, it's a great swan song for the series on this platform. Full Review »
