Nov 6, 2011Overall, Mercury Hg is an engaging and fun game that will give you countless replay value and help entertain you and kill time. It's clever premise and unique use of the PS3's limited motion controls integrate well with the gameplay and help immerse the player.

Oct 10, 2011If not for the often failing SIXAXIS controls, this would have been the perfect puzzle experience. Simple, yet challenging gameplay complemented by a great visual style and ditto soundtrack make Mercury Hg a continuation of form for Archer MacLean.

Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Nov 26, 2011The colorful, grid-based maps shift and turn in surreal ways, lending a truly distinctive feel to the game. [Holiday 2011, p.84]

Oct 17, 2011Interesting puzzles, HD graphics, and a great soundtrack make for a one-of-a-kind puzzle experience. Tight controls keep things from being overly frustrating and a couple of extra modes add variety to the mix.

Oct 3, 2011For $4.99, you're getting an awesome game that will keep you occupied for some time. Even with the promise of DLC completely ignored (some is already available), there's plenty of content in Mercury Hg to keep you busy. It's not only about getting through the stages, but about perfecting them.

Oct 3, 2011Minor issues aside, this is a very fun title. Leaderboards, trying to beat your personal best times, and some unlockable bonus levels do add some replay value, and clever features (free look mode, the blob itself has a high cuteness factor) give the game some charm. If you're looking for a fun and breezy diversion, and an excuse to brush up on your knowledge of the periodic table, Mercury Hg is worth a look.

Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxDec 29, 2011Both Mercury-games were released during the early years of the PSP. The games still play as they did before and look pretty neat in their HD-iterations. [Nov 2011, p.97]
