    Having played this game in 2023, I think it is still a fun and interesting game. For me, the opportunity to play together on one screen is valuable. It was fun.

    This game is byfar one of the best PS3 games i've ever played. Anyone who wrote a negative review is objectively wrong and you shouldn't listen to them because they are just man children who crap on any great game. I still play this game to this day because of how amazing it is!

    This game brings memories back. I am not a competetive gamer and mainly play casual and me and my sister would spend hours just building random levels than made no sense. I never tried to finish the game beacuse I was young and it was hard. I didn't care and still look upon this game very fondly.

    You just build weird stuff.

    I honestly cannot describe how great this game is. This little platformer for the PS3 is truly one of the most innovative video games ever created, even 15 years after its release. The sequels are great too, but this game in particular has a handmade aesthetic that the other games lack.     I don't know how the hell this game has a mixed rating. It's one of the best Playstation games ever created. So charming. So creative. Fun in its purest form! I'm never not happy when I play this game and this series.

    LittleBigPlanet is an overall great game. Here are 3 things I thought were done really well.
    1. It has fun and simple gameplay, easy enough for a 5 year old.
    2. It has one of the most unique idea of any game on the PS3. Making levels was only done on PC at the time. 3. Comparing other create modes, LittleBigPlanet has one of the best create modes, only beat by it's sequels. However, I have    LittleBigPlanet is an overall great game.     Honestly some of the most fun you can have with a kids game, its got a whole load of content to it, so many creative puzzles and the iconic sackboy we all love and miss dearly. Please reboot this series I miss it

    An amazing game, i managed to play this game on my ps3 and it was extremely good, but, when i was like 8 or something, i rejected it, now i regret doing that, so, i highly recommend this game if you want to play it for the first time or to experience nostalgia!

    This game was pretty neat! I got it for free when that hack on the Playstation server happened. I'm not the biggest fan of "create your own level" games because I have no creativity lol. Hence Why my score isn't higher

    LittleBigPlanet is very big fun! The presentation of this game is cute and addresses both young and mature players. You play around with cool physics in a lively world full of puzzles and secrets. The multilayer improves the value of this game enormously. Beautiful!

    This is an excellent platformer, lots of fun and very kid friendly.

    The visuals are cute and engaging, the gameplay is challenging without being abusive or offering too steep a learning curve. The level designer allows you to customize your own levels and that creates immense content from other gamers who created and shared those levels. Overall, excellent game.

    I'm surprised to see that the user score is so low. It's the last great platformer, the first great PS3 exclusive, and one of the greatest games of all time. This game did have some very awkward controls that needed getting used to. The greater community is remarkably active in 2020 with 150-400 players online at most times.

The levels are spontaneous and weird, and is a complete trip to play through. It has an immersive soundtrack, which will have your head bopping throughout.     Definitely one of the most iconic franchise for the play station and a masterpiece. I will never forget all the joy and memories playing with friend. It's been 10 years since its release and its still fun and full of creativity. I really hope MM and Sony revive this franchise in the future #save littlebigplanet.

Its all about customizing, creating, decorating and getting the most out of what the game offers. My daughter, whom is 4 even loves playing it! (with the help of dad, of course) Which makes this a pretty simple game to pick up and play.Before this came out, Sony was truly lacking a quality platforming game for the PS3.     Best level creating game of all time for sure. Whether you are playing the story, creating levels or playing other users levels it is superb. Coop is frustrating as hell but really fun at the same time especially on one of the last levels with that massive wheel that can electrocute you where me, my brother and my sister spent ages trying to beat it.

    All time favourite game back in the day of the PS3, this is the only thing I miss from the Playstation. I am an XBOX ONE user now but still this game will forever be my favourite Playstation game.

    Amazing game and great fun. It's simple yet can be complicated or you can make it complicated yourself. Great different themes and music choices throughout the game. I can't understand the low user score. One of the best PS3 exclusives. 10/10

    LittleBigPlanet is a very customizable game. As you progress through the story and complete challenges, costume prizes, stickers, and decorations can be added to your collection. Costume prizes can be used to customize your own character in every way, from your hair, your clothes, sunglasses, shoes, even your facial hair. This game gives you a chance to really let go and just have fun, as silly and childish as it might seem. Every sticker and decoration you collect is used to personalize your “Pod.” You Pod is where you meet up with friends online and navigate through the menu. One of the greatest sections of the menu is the “Community” section. Here you get to explore all of the custom levels that other players just like you, have created. Every level is so unique, that it’s almost like playing an entirely new storyline. As a player, you also get the chance to create your own levels. The creating part of LittleBigPlanet is by far the most involved and demanding element of the game. Every tool and level piece you collect in the main story can be applied to your creation. Creating levels is very enriching because it makes you appreciate the hard work and fine detail that was put in to the primary story made by the developers of the game. The reason being that, the LittleBigPlanet developers first programmed the level creating software that the gamers use, and then they proceeded to professionally make the main levels of the game. So, it is possible to recreate the exact levels that the developers made, however, it would take quite a bit of skill. Creating good, detailed levels requires a certain depth of understanding of all of the tools. To my surprise, there is a use of gates. By gates, I mean AND gates, NOT gates, and OR gates that are used in electronic programming. There are many engineering and physics principles that are involved in the creation of your level. Yet it is still very user friendly and anyone can build a fantastic level if they put their mind to it.
    The potential of this game is virtually limitless; you really can create anything your mind imagines. It takes patience and problem solving skills to perceive how every creating tool works and how to apply it to the project. As a result, even after you beat every developer made level in story mode, the adventure continues when you build levels of your own and share them with the rest of the gaming community.     Thoroughly enjoyed this one. I would call it a rare gem, but sony just pushes out so many top tier exclusives that great sony games are a dime a dozen. The gameplay is great, graphics are interesting, coop is awesome, custom mode is deep... 8/10

Instead they’ve done something a lot more ambitious, they have produced a beautiful sand box for players to fill with their imagination. Truthfully the only limit to this game is your own creativity.
    The game is divided in three very different experiences; the first is a ‘campaign’ where you are plunged onto little big planet from your ‘pod’ to experience what can only be described as one of gaming’s most random and spontaneous stories. I have no grievance to the chaos of the story, as a solid plot is not what the game is striving to achieve. Instead you are submerged into beautifully crafted play sets with vibrant areas, beautiful art style and extraordinary focus. Its hard to communicate what exactly brings these levels to life but its perfection can be put down to the sheer amount of love that has clearly been poured into this game at every level of production. As well as simply playing threw these platform levels you can explore to find ‘prize bubbles’ that will unlock new materials, stickers and music that you can then use in your own levels.
    This brings me to the second section of the game, ‘creator mode’. Here you start of with a set of tools that you can use to make anything from a simple car all the way to a vastly complicated Godzilla robot that can fire lava from its nostrils and crush cities. This mode can be as simple or complex as you want it to be, there are good tutorials at the beginning giving you the basics to have fun and more have been added with a patch, there are also countless publicly made tutorials that can teach you everything from making a trap door to how to make your own killer shark. When you have made something you’re proud of, you are then given a major opportunity and perhaps the most ambitious aim of media molecule yet, you can publish your work to the world.
    The final section of the game is the LBP community, with a few simple clicks you can publish your level so that the entire world can play it. A robust rating system will give you both feed back and praise and your work can easily rise up and even be placed on the world stage. The possibilities of this feature theoretically creates an infinite amount of content and although not all of this is worth playing the sheer concept of how much fun there is out there is mind-boggling.
    There are other features of this game that make it special, sack boy being one of them. This little sack of joy doesn’t utter a single line threw out the entire game, however the amount of communication portrayed threw his moment and facial expressions is staggering. He is truly one of the most loveable characters you’ll meet in a game, standing along side Sony mascots like Ratchet or Spiro. Another astonishingly impressive feature of this game is its music, with a large library of songs from the supper alternative band of ‘Battles’ to the Mexican band ‘‪Café Tacvba’, there is truly a wealth of interesting and appropriate music woven into the identity of this game.
    Last but not least is the inclusion of multi player. At any time, local and online friends can jump into your game. Hosting up to four players per party at any time the presents of others truly enriches the experience further, giving you access to new areas, multi player focused puzzles and games.
    Little Big Planet is a truly special game that doesn’t come around every generation. There really isn’t a target market for it as anyone with a soul can enjoy the humor, thrive with the creativity and have a little big load of fun.    … Expand

To have so many user friendly tools at your hands only enhances the great value this game offers I've never had so much fun collecting stickers before. This game gets a 9.4 from me and the seal of approval.

    after SIX HOURS, we stopped playing...we had so much fun! this game offered anything it promised! and you can also build your own level! which was a lot of fun, i have to agree, not everything worked with first try, but the moment i ended it, uploaded and had my first "awesome"    I was 20 years old when i bought this game...invited 3 of my friends for a fun evening multiplayer....

You can spend countless hours doing so if that's your kind of thing. I do have some issues with the controls and some of the level designs aren't that good. The controls don't always respond quick enough or how you want it to go, especially when you come across challenges that requires timing, it's like you're playing a flash game, but that's a minor problem. Needless to say, I've looked tons of hours socialising with other players, playing levels with them, creating levels with them and then screwing them over by b****slapping them. :p The levels are unique and the interface is concise and helpful so you can find exactly what you're looking for. The story missions are pretty creative aswell, I especially like the prizes you get for not dying and the prizes you get for collecting prizes bubbles. Did I mention this is one of the few games that gets collectables right? For one they're actually useful in designing your own levels and they are located in places you'de have to think to look. Adding a degree of challenge to the game. The only critiscm I can give is that it can be a bit laggy online, especially on the last level of the story mode. With everything else the game does right it's easily rectified though.

    BTW: The narrator (Stephen Fry) is awesome. He also guides you through mechanics of the game (Such as prize bubbles or level creating.)    … Expand

    Greatest Co-Op game I've played in a while. Very innovative, cute, addictive, and fun. Although a bit challenging at times and parts where it may get a bit frustrating. This game is an instant classic, and the platforming is incredible, with great replay value from the levels that can be created by the community, there are some great ones.

A great multiplayer, original creating tools. This game has everything, you can do any time of level you want with your imagination.

    That said, the game is a near perfect modern day puzzle/platformer that incorporates tons of cool mini-games and features within different levels that benefit or require having multiple players playing together. It's a very visually appealing game, it's cute, creative and imaginative. I've heard another complaint being how quickly the main story can be completed. This is true, the game can be beat with probably 5-10 hours of gameplay. But each level has tons of unlockable areas or features, awesome soundtracks, you can try to get all the stickers, but most of all this game gets its replay value from the minigames. I love this game, and I think people who really like platformers and puzzles and the art design of the game will enjoy it to. But considering how many people seem to not enjoy it, or just be horrible reviewers, I'd suggest trying a demo first.

    My one legitimate criticism though, is that at times the game can get very frustrating because of one mechanical flaw... The game is a bit 3D, you can jump "closer" and "further" away from the screen in order to jump or climb over things or hide from something...That movement sometimes is hard to actually maneuver, and something so crucial to the gameplay shouldn't at all be remotely difficult...but it is, and so you might yell at your TV for that now and again.    … Expand

    Not a ps3 owner myself but my cousin occasionally brings his ps3 and he had a demo of this game i gotta say its really awesome the transition from keyboard and mouse to controller really confuses you. But this game is really friendly so people who recently bought ps3 should definitely get this game along its fun and challenging platforming.

    LittleBigPlanet haves it unique gameplay, that makes this game great, and haves some clever puzzles, in single player, even in multiplayer. In multiplayer you can create your own levels, and edit your avatars. Sometimes the game gets boring and repetitive, but that's a rare thing. (9.4)

    This is definitely in my "Top 5" List. This game was the reason I wanted a PS3 so badly. It's for Kids, but Adults too! Kids will love going through the multiple obstacle courses throughout the game, and if they're good at that, making levels of their own will be even more fun! I highly recommend this game for all players with a PS3!

Packed with content for all, this game pushes your imagination past its limits and opens your mind up to new levels.
