TimGJun 3, 2009Looks okay, plays okay, but psychic enemies with perfect aim, almost boring powers with ludicrous limitations, and poor facial animation during 'talk' scenes bring it down hard to the level of 'crap original xbox game from 2000'.

May 26, 2011Infamous is a great superhero game. Just understand that you are designed hero. If you get that and you like electricity as a power then, this is the game for you, otherwise you will hate this game. Really it comes down to that.

Sep 16, 2011It's good new brand in gaming world, but still need many work in every aspects. After all, the freedom and power of moving around city are good reasons to play this game.

Mar 16, 2017Good open world game with powers and demolitions, using electricy to destroy things was never so good. Too bad bonus objectives to do was so boring and copy pasted all over whole game.
-
Sep 22, 2013InFamous may have some character inconsistency and the missions may be slightly repetitive, but it earns huge bonus points for having a creative premise, truly awesome abilities, fantastic gameplay and an unforeseen twist ending that pays off. For any Playstation owner, this is a must-have!

Aug 9, 2016sorry to admit but i did enjoy Prototype more. i did play it before Infamous though. in comparsion Infamous lacks story wise. the movement feels less clunky in Prototype. also i did not really dig the comic/cartoonish style of Infamous.

Apr 18, 2020Metacritic forces me to write a seventy-five character review so that I can have my notes listed without searching game by game.

Apr 1, 2020Good for the time maybe but it comes off rather bland, all things considered. 70/100

May 18, 2020This is a really fun game but it shows it age for almost an 11-year-old some things in this game just didn't age well and for today's standards it can make this game frustrating though it is still worth the play.

Jun 14, 2021Тот самый момент, когда мне говорили что инфеймос лучше чем прототип. И вот что я вам скажу, прототип это не шедевр, но первый инфеймос однозначно хуже. А вот второй=)

May 26, 2021I played the 2nd game three times before I decided to try the first game. And I was a little disappointed. Mainly because the militia characters are so annoying - unbelieveably precise when shooting from far away and the combats are sometimes really hard and annoying.
-
LynnD.May 26, 2009I like the controls. Climbing around the city is fun. The missions are boring and repetitive.

MitchMay 27, 2009It's a solid game, but I think that I had more fun with Crackdown. But I'm still playing it, so that's gotta be a good thing, huh?

Cole's powers are cool, the graphic novel cutscenes are stunning, the story is intriguing, and the city is alive.
-
Most importantly, the movement and combat mechanics are fantastic, while the firefights (and the starring role of electricity) are a true spectacle. In this game the city is both your playground and your plaything, and you'll feel like a bad-ass.
-
While not wholly original, the game's blend of open world ideals with superhero powers is done with a verve that’s unsurpassed, and the mesh of platforming and freeform combat is uniquely satisfying.
