    It's a great game, even without the Checkpoint system. It has beautiful physics and beautiful graphics according to its time, but there is a shortage of optimization.

    The game story is brilliant and the character building is at it's highest.

    The new Rage engine does a really great job making the ragdoll physics natural and the car physics and anything that's in the game is just next gen

    It was released back in 2003.. yet still better than GTA V.

    Things I liked.
    • The physics.
    •The graphics/how the game changes colors based on who you play.
    • all the small details that make the world of this game feel alive.
    •No flying bikes.
    •No sharkcard **** attached.
    • And finally, the actual crime story they tell instead of something that's trying to rip-off sants row.

    This game is still a 10 in 2021, aged like fine wine.

    Still has amazing physics, pretty decent graphics, greeaat story line, great side missions, amazing dlc's.

    A seriously amazing game for its time, and in my opinion, vastly underrated by the community.

    One of the best and most innovative game in the series. Just like playing in the industry. Everything that came before, of course, is suitable. And then, RockStar started to get bored.

    Played GTA 3, GTA: SA and GTA V and the GTA 4 spinoffs. Out of those 4 i would put it number 3 on the list, nr 1 GTA:sa, nr 2 GTA V. The story is better than in GTA 5 but the gameplay and possibilities are a little more blend. Definitely give it a try if you are a fan of the franchise.

    It is true that after coming from gta san andreas it may seem lacking in content, but it feels so different and at the same time so good that I am not surprised that it has a 98 in metacritic, the best I have played in my life

    The story about the mafia, diamonds, drugs and how they pass from one hand to another creating mini-stories that create the main story is masterful, a masterpiece this game

    The online didn't have much content but it managed to be a lot of fun with just a few missions, races, deathmatches and a free world at the airport

    Details as incredible as that niko improves his English over time or if you fail the mission will have new dialogues, internet, physics, driving, the a.i. and many more details that to this day continue to surprise me.

    The b.s.o. It is good with its main theme and stations like the journey, the gunplay improved a lot compared to other gta as being able to aim manually or automatically depending on the pressure of the trigger or cover yourself even rolling to a cover

    Every time I play it again I discover or remember some detail that seems incredible to me that it was in 2.008

    Over time this game is getting more respect and more and more players know how to see what this game did in its day. Thanks rockstar    … Expand

    I've gotten platinum in every GTA game available on console and I must say, this one didn't disappoint at all. The graphics for the time were amazing. While the driving felt like boats and was nowhere good as GTA 5, it was still fun and the flying mechanics were much more enjoyable than that in GTA 5. The story was amazing.     For me personally, its the Godfather of Games. I played it on ps3 when it came out and i play it on pc today in 2021.

    Gta 5 is imo the best ever but this definitely deserves my 10 rating. I remember tge excitement when I started playing it as a kid and especially "cops N crooks" online mod, which not even in Gta 5 I couldn't match it.

    Gráficos excelentes, soundtrack buenísimo, detalles y físicas mejores que algunos juegos actuales, tiene una de las mejores historia que he visto, los finales son conmovedores.

    Kinda fun , but bad optimalisation and graphic , mostly blurry textures or bad render .
    But i am happy to play it even with 20fps average

    In my opinion, it's the best GTA so far. The storyline, graphics, physics, level of details.. That speaks for itself. If you're looking for a really good singleplayer game, GTA IV will be a good choice. Of course, It could be done better. The map could be bigger, Rockstar could implement fly-able planes, multiplayer (which recently died) could also be more expanded, but still, it's a veryIn my opinion, it's the best GTA so far.     Grand Theft Auto IV is not a perfect game, but it is fantastic through and through, from start to finish and beyond. It is so massive, vast and impressive that it is almost mind-boggling to imagine how much work must have gone into the game to come up with so much detail.
