    One would have expected a gentle tragedy out of Gotham City Imposters, not unlike the way its collection of wacky gadgets would perform against actual assault rifles. In practice, however, it's those same silly toys that boost Gotham City Imposters out of copycat land and into a neat realm all its own. If you want a bit of humor and subtle creativity injected into your competitive first person shooting, and don't mind its inherent familiarity, look no further.

    [G]ripes aside, Gotham City Impostors is a surprisingly solid shooter and with the sizeable first DLC drop, Warner Bros. is promising improvements across the board. If they deliver on that, consider upgrading this score to must-buy status, rather than a nice-to-have. [April 2012, p72]

    Gotham City Impostors is a fun and different first-person shooter with a lot of ambition. It stands out from the crowd, and has enjoyable and casual gameplay. There are some issues with matchmaking that made the experience a bit tedious, but I'm sure these will be sorted out soon.

    Gotham City Impostors is a lot of fun to play but sadly offers only a few levels and game modes. If you're looking for an easy to play multiplay shooter, you'll definitely have a good time with this one.

    I would love to see a humorous single player campaign to go along with this experience. Gotham City Impostors provides an oasis for those of us tapped out from modern military syndrome, and an original variation on the Batman theme. If the community continues to grow, it can only get better.

    A functional shooter with a sense of humor and a Batman license. It's got plenty to unlock, but it's not all that deep. Go, shoot, win. Over and over. If you're looking for a first-person shooter that doesn't take itself seriously, have at it, but don't expect a FPS revolution.

    The weapon selection is varied, but only has a few standouts, like an explosive catapult or an tranquilizing boomerang. Most of the rifles seem to have been lifted straight from some generic shooter and feel a bit soulless. [March 2012, p.102]

    Even with the enormous amount of customization options, plentiful weapons and gadgets and a rather solid progression system, Gotham City Impostors can't hide the fact that it's a fairly ordinary shooter, despite the colorful packaging.

    Gotham City Imposters is by no means a bad game. The few maps it offers are expertly balanced for its type of play. But after a short while, there is just not enough to keep you coming back and in everything it does, it gets outclassed by the likes of Team Fortress 2.

    This game is Awesome! I cant believe there are 1000 levels! I will try my hardest to achieve that level because I don't think this game willThis game is Awesome!     I really enjoy this game. For 15 bucks this one is a no brainer. It may not be near as deep as cod or bf3, but in my opinion its a awesomeI really enjoy this game. The controls feel tight, the ability to choose your own gadgets and attire. True the 200 bucks worth of dlc is a bit weird on day 1, but they aren't forcing you to buy it and it in no way makes the 15 dollars worth of game you get any less enjoyable. For price and amount of time i have enjoyed it thus far i would give it a 9/10.… Full Review »
