Apr 3, 2012FIFA Street runs on to the court after four years with a shiny new look and enough moves to make your head spin.
-
Mar 14, 2012This reboot is the best thing EA Sports could do with the franchise. FIFA Street feels like a fresh new experience. It has so many to offer; 5-A-Side, Panna Rules, indoor football, World Tour mode, etc. You won't be ever be bored while playing this game.
-
PSM3 Magazine UKMar 22, 2012Skills look and feel the business, and World Tour is compelling. [Apr 2012, p.102]
-
Mar 15, 2012FIFA Street is a new soccer experience. It's easy to learn but hard to master. You can choose between predefined and self-made play modes and challenge your friends local and online. It's not like the typical FIFA, but it's a lot of fun, too.
-
Mar 26, 2012It may be a bit too accessible – even an unskilled player can perform the most awesome moves by randomly twiddling the right analog stick – but in the end this is one hell of a football game.
-
Mar 19, 2012FIFA Street improves the series with its leap onto realism not only aesthetically but in the gameplay aspects as well. Especially entertaining if you play it on-line or with friends.
-
Apr 24, 2012The game is deep and focuses on beating the man in front of you. It's like having a pickup game of soccer somewhere except this time you can actually pull off the tricks that the pros use. Grab a pal and have a blast.
-
Mar 26, 2012It was about high time that FIFA Street found back to more realism, complexity and, in the end, long-term playability.
-
Mar 26, 2012This year's iteration of FIFA Street takes the series in a new direction, and i like it. A lot of the arcade-style gameplay is gone and have been replaced with something that feels more authentic without losing the playfulness and fun that the series is known for.
-
Mar 26, 2012If you're growing a little tired of the FIFA series or Pro Evolution Soccer but still want your soccer fix, than you really should check out FIFA Street as it offers players a whole wealth of new gaming mechanics, online modes and some honest gaming fun. With a sturdy career mode and the option of taking your squad online, FIFA Street is rife with replay value and more importantly, pure gaming fun! Recommended!
-
Mar 26, 2012While FIFA Street doesn't have the depth of its annually-updated bigger brother, the latest release is a much more rounded product than past iterations. For the most part, the developers have succeeded in combining the sparkle of street football with the fundamentals that make the beautiful game so appealing.
-
Mar 21, 2012FIFA Street is immensely fun, and that's exactly what we look for in a game of street football.
-
Mar 19, 2012While its urban tone can be a little grating, the consideration put into the game's attacking mechanics make it a surprisingly deep and replayable package.
-
Mar 19, 2012FIFA Street's unique brand of trick-fuelled football is heaps of fast-paced, stylish fun.
-
Mar 18, 2012One of 2012's most refreshing and stimulating videogames: easy to pick up, spectacular and very enjoyable.
-
Mar 17, 2012The systems are well explained, the controls are perfect for the pace and style of gameplay and the presentation is as great as you'd expect. One or two minor niggles aside, FIFA Street is a very enjoyable game, even though it's not the game I expected.
-
Mar 16, 2012Though far from perfect, FIFA Street proves that EA is finally heading down the right path and fans can now hope that this brand will reach FIFA's traditional quality standards in the near future.
-
Mar 16, 2012This is a fantastic alternative to the main series – offering up all the thrills of your Monday-night work league, without the worry about talk of P45s after 'accidentally' shouldering your boss into a wall.
-
Mar 15, 2012This is still unpretentious fun, but now it's also a surprisingly deep and characterful little sports game, and a welcome stopgap between FIFA 12 and 13.
-
Mar 15, 2012It exists as both a worthy companion to FIFA – providing a quick, fun multiplayer fix – but also as a primer for those who are put off by FIFA's precipitous learning curve yet still want to kick around a digital ball with friends.
-
Mar 13, 2012A successful reboot that captures the spirit of street soccer with realistic tricks requiring some skill and strategy to pull off. While it comes up a bit short in breadth when compared to other sports franchises, and the gameplay could use some fine tuning, the World Tour mode and addicting fundamentals make this Street a welcome detour from more stodgy sports games.

Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Mar 5, 2012Manipulating the analog sticks will take some serious practice, but once mastered, skinning the last defender, faking out the keeper, then heading the ball into the goal is wonderfully satisfying. [Apr 2012, p.85]
-
Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxApr 2, 2012Timing and tricks are everything in this game. You have to draw your opponent out, then kick the ball right between his legs. FIFA Street is a vicious cat-and-mouse game with a football. [April 2012, p.78]
-
Mar 27, 2012When the smoke clears, whether or not diving into the world of FIFA Street is for you will most likely already be known. It depends not only on your love of soccer, but also of this street style of game play that adds a bit of flare to the sport thanks to its bigger frills, smaller pitch, and aggressive scoring attitude. If you loved this series before, expect tighter controls, better combinations, cooler skill move sets and shots, and improved visuals overall.
-
Mar 14, 2012The amount of teams to choose from is actually very impressive and should give everyone a great choice of selection.
-
Mar 13, 2012FIFA Street's focus on one-on-one humiliation is a blast, especially if you can master the controls. There is nothing better than tricking past an opponent, and EA makes it look so good despite some rough A.I.
-
Mar 13, 2012This series hasn't diverged wildly from its roots, but at least it's finally fashioned itself into the creative, trick-filled game it was always supposed to be, but never really achieved.
-
Apr 24, 2012FIFA Street might have worked better as a DLC expansion for the main series, as you could harshly label it as "just" being FIFA 12 with smaller pitches and more dribbles and tricks. That doesn't change the fact that we were well entertained throughout, and the sheer amount of game modes add to the overall impression.
-
Apr 11, 2012FIFA Street is a complete reboot of the series. Unlike its predecessors it offers a more realistic approach to street football. Still, it's all about having fun while performing acrobatic tricks. Even though the game tends to be extremely frustrating playing with egocentric teammates in netplay, it's quite fun when controlling the team completely by yourself. All in all the nice career mode and plenty of variety make this a solid step forward.
-
Mar 28, 2012And there isn't even any beach soccer in here, disappointingly.
-
Mar 13, 2012I'm aware I've probably come across as being overly negative in this review, but I think it's just because I'm such a huge football nut. It's not that FIFA Street is a bad game per say, but I don't think it works nearly as well as it should. The fact is that FIFA Street was designed specifically for a small percentage of gamers; namely those with the same fanaticism I have. I don't see this appealing to anyone who isn't a diehard footy fan, but then I can't see anyone who isn't a diehard footy fan buying this in the first place. So consider this a warning to temper your expectations football fanatics: FIFA Street is worth playing if you can get past a slew of minor annoyances and some sore thumbs.
-
Apr 29, 2012FIFA Street is a fun game and will keep you entertained, but the overbearing problems it brings with it prevent it from taking its place alongside its 11-a-side cousin.
-
Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaApr 11, 2012Critically the balance from FIFA 12 has been exaggerated and attackers now have emphatic control when set. So aggressive defence is out, replaced instead by ad nauseam jockeying that slows the action to a grind while attackers dangle the ball with footloose poetry. It's fist-in-thetelevision frustrating at times, and at one point we perused the pause menu looking for the "Hire cartel sniper to take out dribbler" option. [April 2012, p68]
-
Mar 21, 2012FIFA Street's Fifty-Fifty. On one hand, its animations and sound are convincing, but the street soccer sim draws upsides and downsides from FIFA 12's engine, that is less convenient for the numerous contacts of this urban sport. It's not that pretty, but still a good first step for a good series.
-
Play UKApr 17, 2012As DLC for FIFA 12 this would be slightly more palatable, but as a full scale release it's not up to scratch. [Issue#217, p.78]
-
Apr 10, 2012FIFA Street is the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of gaming. Equal parts glorious and monstrous, it will leave you ultimately disappointed, if not completely filled with rage. Maybe Icarus is a better metaphor. It flies so close to greatness but invariably crashes and burns. Either way, play FIFA Street at your own risk.
