Dec 2, 2011A good game that respects the gameplay of the EyePet series and improves on it. Maybe some players might find it limited, because there are no more objectives that to have fun with our lovely creature. But there are plenty of options and features to discover, and the use of PlayStation Move is great.

Dec 12, 2011The kids are going to love this and even we quickly grew attached to our very own virtual pet. There are however some downsides: the annoying voice-overs and the often failing Move controls tone down the fun.

Playstation Official Magazine UKDec 3, 2011The interactivity is erratic, but it's got enough personality to justify the purchase if you have kids. [Christmas 2011, p.111]

Nov 19, 2011The technical issues, particularly the ridiculous load times, absolutely needed to be sorted out prior to release, however. These things ultimately make for a game that, although much expanded in feature set in some key areas, scratches and scrapes to a level just below that of the first title rather than exceeding it as it should have.

Nov 17, 2011EyePet & Friends still needs tweaking on the technological side of the game. If you can move past those frustrations then you'll find a very cute, customizable and affordable game for the younger gamers in the household.

Jan 26, 2012All in all, EyePet & Friends is an impressive piece of technology that is a definite improvement over the previous releases. It still needs quite a bit of work when it comes to presentation, as the blurry backgrounds and visual lag do not help in delivering a believable experience.

Dec 1, 2011While EyePet & Friends can be a good distraction for siblings and even teach a few valuable lessons, technical snafus all over the place can turn the whole experience into a frustrating one for kids and parents alike.

Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Jan 6, 2012We occasionally encountered some control issues. [Jan 2012, p.81]

Dec 13, 2011EyePet & Friends could have been a cute game for kids who want to play with a virtual and exotic pet.
-
Nov 28, 2011It's cute, you can customize your EyePet and it has some sort of rewards, too. Not exactly motivating, but it's always good for some cute moments.
-
Nov 25, 2011The game doesn't come out unscathed, as the long load times kill much of the flow in the game and could leave some of the more impatient kids/families searching for something else to do. This, along with other minor technical issues hamper this game from realizing its full potential.

Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxJan 2, 2012Like in the previous Eyepet-games you never really get the feeling that you are actually petting the animals. Yes, the animal reacts to the Move, but the interaction is very limited. It's fun to toy around with the technology for a while, but after that it gets boring. [December 2011, p.89]
