    The original EyePet game had some charm and tried to do something new and interesting with AR technology but this sequel was very unnecessary, short-lived, and overall offered nothing new besides the co-op experience. But very few hours later it gets old.

    Just play the original

    All in all, EyePet & Friends is an impressive piece of technology that is a definite improvement over the previous releases. It still needs quite a bit of work when it comes to presentation, as the blurry backgrounds and visual lag do not help in delivering a believable experience.

    Like in the previous Eyepet-games you never really get the feeling that you are actually petting the animals. Yes, the animal reacts to the Move, but the interaction is very limited. It's fun to toy around with the technology for a while, but after that it gets boring. [December 2011, p.89]
