Echochrome II provides a fantastic amount of entertainment to those who can overlook its shortcomings.

While less engrossing--and therefore less essential--than its predecessor, echochrome ii remains a smartly conceived puzzler that offers fresh and innovative ideas, especially when it comes to using the PlayStation Move. [March 2011, p.76]

It continues to be a game with a lot of class, not only for the style but also for the soundtrack.

A clever puzzler that makes interesting use of PlayStation Move, but like its forebears the minimalist presentation and lack of pep will not appeal to all.

There's a considerable amount of content in the game, but it is somewhat easier to complete than the original likely due to the allowances made to include the unique Playstation Move control scheme.

There are lots of puzzles to tackle and there should be plenty to download once folks get their hands on the game, but that doesn't offset the stuff that turned me off.

Perhaps something was off on my end but the way it controlled was too sensitive and it didn't convey that feeling of light on a surface as I was inclined to believe but really just sort of a gimmicky control scheme to make it seem different. Not a bad game, Echochrome always has interesting puzzles but if you're looking for a title just for your move, don't drop the cash so quickly. Full Review »

There is no elevator music it is pretty much the same as the first game. Compared to the original game this one actually has colour and one third of the game is dedicated to puzzles where the blocks are coloured whenever your shadow man steps on the corresponding shadow. You can screw around a hope to stumble upon the solution like the IGN reviewer does or you can actually use your brain and figure out how to do the puzzle quickly. The difficulty is progressive but much like the original there are many ways to complete each puzzle. His idea of breaking the game is actually one of the techniques that are taught to you right in the beginning (that is using the shadows to push your character around). You can kill your character in this game by sandwiching him between a couple of shadows. I would recommend this to anyone with a move being cheaper than most titles and the replayability should keep you busy for a while creating and playing other peoples created levels. Full Review »
