CD-ActionJan 6, 2013Boss battles are tedious and companion's AI is disastrous (which might explain why the puzzles are so basic and repetitive – that dumb rabbit probably wouldn't handle anything more elaborate). And it's not really a game for kids because on occasion it's rather difficult (partly due to abysmal jumping mechanics). Each time I put the controller aside after playing this painfully generic game, I was tired and bored. And I hated my job a little. [1/2013, p.60]

Dec 13, 2012Epic Mickey 2 represents a big drop in quality over its predecessor. Given the switch from the relatively underpowered Wii, that just shouldn't be the case. Stepping away from the innovative core of the previous title has lumbered this sequel in sub-standard platform land, making it difficult for us to recommend.

Nov 26, 2012It tries to improve upon the problems bogging down the first Epic Mickey game but only manages to feel like a watered-down version of itself. With most of the control and camera issues still in place, there's not much improvement except for better graphics. The story and levels feel lackluster and lacks soul, which is weird given the Disney heritage. This is not Warren Spector at his finest, for sure.

Jan 3, 2013Playing through Disney's Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two was one of the most irritating and unrewarding experiences I've had the misfortune of completing in over 30 years of gaming. It should be banished to The Wasteland where other unfinished and incomplete ideas wait in limbo to be restored into a functional, more complete version.

Nov 19, 2012A 3D platformer so bad it brings to mind Bubsy 3D rather than Super Mario 64, in what is a considerable step down from the already mediocre original.
