Brothers in Arms is a solid 7. The story is immersive and tries very hard to make you care for your men. I purchased this game because I haven't seen a good game for the PS3 since MGS4. I was also looking for a squad tactical shooter to sink my teeth in. While the game is squad based I found myself for most of the game barely using the help for multiple reasons. Army of One this game Brothers in Arms is a solid 7. Army of One this game seems like with the aim of you squad members. I had to go back and forth constantly and clear the enemies out of the way so my men can move forward. More times then I can count I order my men to follow me and they run through a room full of Germans and take a dirt nap. Some of the AI and movement mechanics clearly need to be polished. As far as the graphics go this game is visually stimulating and quite good in some parts, while others give off the feel of a PS2 game. It seems the developers had different teams designing the level and some levels look terrible with choppy graphics while others have flames and smoke and burning rumble look amazing. If the graphics were more consistent throughout the game it would make for a much better experience. Final Note: Brothers in Arms HH is a moderate WW2 shooter. The story telling deserves a 9, the graphics a 7(impressive, but not consistent), the game-play a 7(Some angle issues with shooting make you have to find all new cover so you can see what your shooting) and the AI is a 5( Mostly because your squad members will jump over things they shouldn't and sometimes stand in front of what they will be behind.) For such a tactical game the tactics are not all that important, it is mostly a FPS with suppression fire that does nothing much and a bazooka to get past the 3 or 4 bunkers in the game. If your looking for a good story, this is your game, just don't expect anything revolutionary. Expand

  1. Bar the jarring Action Camera, there's not a lot wrong with Hell's Highway. Rather, there's a lot good with it. It's an intelligent game made by adults for adults.
  2. A competent tactical shooter blessed with a dedication to narrative rarely seen in shooters. If Gearbox can build off this success with more inventive gameplay, the series has a chance of overcoming the boredom that curses so many WWII titles.

While many of the franchise's traditional gameplay elements return, such as the tactical controls of squads, so do the issues associated with those controls. Tie in some questionable visuals and AI issues, and you have a title that's good, but not great.
