Bioshock is a great game. It's graphics are near damn timeless and the story is very interesting. Bioshock is as hard as you want it to be turn on or off vitachambers for a tense experience. Not much music other than what's blaring on the radio. This all kinda made the game pretty boring.
There are some awesome simple dynamic rpg elements and super powers throughout the game. The ending will make you cry. If you have the remastered version. Turn off vitachambers, put on reshade, with dithering for a retro immersive experience.

You can also set up various traps especially for big daddies. Definitely play this game. Expand

I finished Bioshock for the first time this year after meaning to okay it for years, 16 years after it’s original release it still holds up as a great game even though it is slightly dated in some parts. The characters and world building are great and the story is excellent touching on some really interesting themes such as the consequences of unrestricted capitalism and individualistic libertarianism and how one man’s hubris can lead to the downfall of a society. Well that’s what I got out of it anyway.

If you haven’t already played this game and you like thought provoking retro apocalyptic shooters then definitely give it a go.

This game was one of the only games I was scared to progress through when I first played. The environment and enemy types were a combined scare. I didn’t know what I was in for and my mind filled in terrible blanks. Then I got a weapons and powers. Now my experience is badass fun being interrupted by amazing themes and story.

The best FPS game of all time. The world is breathtaking how did they even come up with the idea? Rapture is just one of those places that you won't forget for the rest of your life. I can't describe how much I love this game the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the characters. Bioshock is without a doubt one of the best games I played. Bioshock is a must-play one of the best ever made.

"Bio-Shock" overpasses expectations and proves again that a solid and dark plot may get your attention, but extremely detailed graphics, creepy and atmospheric atmospheric music, and the best f/x you will ever see are the perfect elements to make a memorable video game.

The plot is extremely intriguing and dark; it involves a City in the likes of the myth of Atlantis, the Lost City but taken further to the point that evil alien-type creatures are invading the city and the political system.

Talking about politics, this video game has a sub-plot involving political strategies and an ancient political system accused of being corrupt and cruel for a futuristic City.

To make this better, we have futuristic and spectacular weapons that will let you eyed open. You won't see more complex and impressive weapons in any other game. Most of them are deadly and deliver extremely impressive and violent results.

Overall this is the most atmospheric game created for xbox 360. Don't look further and buy this game. I won't recommend it for a specific audience; it's a game for everyone.

Hands down to last year's best game.

Excellent FPS (especially for the years in which it was released). The setting is truly fascinating. History, although not very original, very exciting especially in the last 2-3 hours.
Rapture is certainly one of the most recognizable and original settings in the history of video games.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

Good old PS3, you gave us such joy and memories... LBP... Killzone 2... Infamous... I think I'm starting to tear up. I miss those days... anyway, this game is a masterpiece on the PS3 and sucks on the 3fixme and the LC since the PS3 has extra missions that you can buy for 10 dollars.

Bioshock is the closest you can get to a masterpiece when it comes to FPS games. Everything about this game is fantastic starting with the legendary opening scene where you descend into Rapture, the unforgettable quote "A man chooses, a slave obeys", the moral choices you're formed to take, etc. There are so many small details that make this the most worthwhile and one of the most thought-provoking games I have played. Throughout the story, you find out what happened in the dystopian underwater city of Rapture and this story delivers many philosophical themes and also deals with drug abuse. I also loved the twists in the story.

It blends an FPS gameplay with sci-fi horror perfectly. All the powers and weapon combinations make for excellent diversity and inventive ways to deal with your enemies. You can also approach this as a stealth game if you feel like it. Fighting a Big Daddy for the first time is the scariest thing, but it's damn rewarding when you finally take him down and get the Little Sister. The aiming system and graphics has aged a bit as expected from a shooter from 2008 but it's still damn enjoyable today and the powers really help to hit your shots.

Sure, the final boss fight could have been better but I still enjoyed it. This game is an emotional roller-coaster and the most memorable entry in the series. This is my all-time favorite FPS and 100% recommend this game to anyone.

The atmosphere is one of the most powerful part of Bioshock. When you went to Rapture, you can feel curiosity and also fear. Minimap was very bad. Weapons, plasmids and tonics are good. With plot twist, great characters, story was quite impressive but "audio tapes" thing screw me.

Bioshock one of the greatest FPS game of this generation. If you didn't play it, you should play it.
