    I am very upset i just bought this game! The load times are inexcusable, the camera is a joke. Everytime i see a cutscene it gives me a headache, the story and voice acting makes me ill. If you make the mistake of grabbing an item in a fight prepare for a 5 sec load time just to show you a zoomed in pic of the item. Out of frustration i mash the start button hoping to speed up the load, I am very upset i just bought this game! The load times are inexcusable, the camera is a joke.     look.. ok im not a real fan of hack and slashes which might be affecting my score but this doesnt stand out from any ive played before. Reminds me of devil may cry with a woman. The story line is ok but didnt really grab my attention. I just cant seem to pick it up and finish it which is saying 2 things. one that its long (which is good for some games just not hack and slashes) and 2 its look.. ok im not a real fan of hack and slashes which might be affecting my score but this doesnt stand out from any ive played before.     Bayonetta's hack and slash gameplay is solid, sure, but the story is uninteresting in the slightest, made all the more harder to follow by the ridiculous sexualized undertones and provocative cut scenes which seem like a direct insult to ones own intelligence, or more likely, a shameless marketing tactic aimed strictly at pubescent teens. The enemies however are my greatest hatred, as they have very little variety and look incredibly stupid. From the common fodder enemies to the bosses, and whether they are meant to resemble humans or animals, they all have what I can only describe as lifeless, stonehenge-esque "masks" that are so expressionless and irritating to look at that not even destroying them with fancy combos provided much satisfaction, especially not after the first playthrough and having endured the absolutely HORRIBLE J-pop soundtrack over and over again. As soon as I earned the platinum trophy in this game I returned it from whence it came, with no desire whatsoever to ever play it again.… Expand

    Bayonetta is the game that made me open up a Metacritic account.
    Gamers should know what a piece of trash this game is. Nevermind the PS3 issues, Bayonetta's plot is so incredibly stupid and vague that is offensive, the main character is a tranny, which is ok if you're into that sorta stuff. She's also unidimensional, hollow and her motives are never clear. Lara Croft she is not. Half the    Bayonetta is the game that made me open up a Metacritic account.

Half the game is composed of non-animated cutscenes, the other half is: pop some power-ups, dodge enemies and mash mash mash those buttons. Rinse and repeat. And don't get me started on the J-POP version of Fly me to the moon that plays on every battle. Again, it's offensive.
    First game in this console generation that I've quit halfway through. Life is too short to waste on a bad game. As an all-time Sega fan since the beggining, I urge them to seriously consider a change of profession, everything they throw out nowadays in trash.    … Expand

    A button masher that arbitrarly raises the difficulty way high so it can seem sooo hardcore. That's what this is. This is not better than god of war. This is a scam that we're supposed to get excited about because it looks so cool. It looks stupid. I guess that was the point. The developers wanted the game to be stupid. And they succeeded.

    bayonetta puo essere tranquillamente il nuovo sinonimo di sopravvalutato è un titolo mediocre spacciato per capolavoro con una trama inesistente e una protagonista ODIOSA e stupida meglio dedicarsi ad altro.

    Like other have already stated It looks great at first....but soon you'll be looking for something a bit better.
    Lots of fanservice (too much in some cases) that is more silly that sexy.
    In my opionion worse than "Prince of persia warrior within" or "Devil may cry 2" or God of War 3....

    Qu'est-ce que c'est que ce truc ? un jeu où on doit taper tout ce qu'on voit y compris des trucs bizarres et improbables sous un prétexte aussi rocambolesque que curieux mais avec une mise en scène aussi comique que caricaturale. Oh bien sûr, faut pas appuyer sur tous les boutons n'importe comment : comme dans un jeu de baston, il faut sortir des combos, combos qu'on peut acheter et/ouQu'est-ce que c'est que ce truc ? un jeu où on doit taper tout ce qu'on voit y compris des trucs bizarres et improbables sous un prétexte aussi rocambolesque que curieux mais avec une mise en scène aussi comique que caricaturale. L'évolution du personnage se joue donc sur des listes de coups... de là à crier au jeu de rôle, certainement pas !

    Le personnage, parlons-en, est le principal attrait du jeu (d'où son nom, si, si) bien qu'un tantinet vulgaire peut-être (sans déconner ?) et l'héroïne sans aucun doute la plus sal... la plus sexy jamais vue dans un jeu. A cet égard la paire de lunettes fait déborder le vase je présume.

    Plutôt joli ce jeu idiot (pour ne pas dire carrément débile et de mauvais goût), même sur la PS3 mais terriblement répétitif et ennuyeux : je préfère me taper un vrai jeu de baston avec un choix de sal... euh de personnages sexy bien plus vaste.    … Expand

    It's ain't great. The graphics look very poor for the PS3 and the controls were not the best. I did not dig the nude stuff, and I'm supposed to be at one of the horniest points in my life. Oh well.

    This is a bad game. The controls are awkward, the witch time is probably the most annoying aspect of the game, the story is completely empty. I do not recommend this game if you value your time in any way.

    Bayonetta is the kind of game that makes me appreciate why I love videogames. It really defines a time when things were not taken too seriously and the focus was more on style and gameplay than anything else.

    Bayonetta is a refreshing and somewhat surprising addition to an already extensive catalogue of action games. A must-buy for any anime gaming fan, and an excellent representation of the genre.
