    this is controversial because of the shady capcom dlc practice, but if not for that, the complete game (including all dlc's) is a superb package that deserve a solid 8/10 MUST PLAY

    I am not judging the questionable sales techniques by Capcom with regard to DLCs.

    me falaram que era um hack and slash e por isso eu fiquei decepcionado pois o jogo era cinematografico, após isso eu assistia os cutscenes e acabava perdendo o kick time event pois eu achava que não teria e deixava o controle de lado e por isso eu perdia diversas vezes. Esse jogo me deixa com saudade de eu mesmo jogar e por isso eu achava entendiante ficar vendo cutscene por que além de eume falaram que era um hack and slash e por isso eu fiquei decepcionado pois o jogo era cinematografico, após isso eu assistia os cutscenes e acabava perdendo o kick time event pois eu achava que não teria e deixava o controle de lado e por isso eu perdia diversas vezes.     Muy disfrutable a poco que tengas cierto interés por el anime. El juego es divertido, lo cierto es que me sorprendió gratamente, quizás es lo que ocurre cuando juegas a algo sin tener muchas espectativas en él. Artísticamente es toda una obra maestra y, aunque la jugabilidad no sea la mejor, logra que pases unas horas de lo más divertidas a los mandos.

    One of the best Storys i have even seen or Played in a Video Game! Yes, the Gameplay is kinda Boring and Repetitive but the Story, the Characters and the Soundtrack are so Captivating that you can't Stop playing it! Asura is by far one of the Best Fathers and in general Main Characters of all time, everyone which is even slightly interested in Anime and good Over the top storys andOne of the best Storys i have even seen or Played in a Video Game!     An adrenaline pumping game. Breathtaking art style and capturing storyline. Based on Japanese/Hindu mythology, beautifully created!

    I like this game. Rather, it's not even so much a game as an interactive anime and it's very cool. Fights against with Gods are so epic. I think that it's even more epic than in God of War series, lol. Also I like musics. Yasha's theme is my fav.

Me da tanta lastima darle tan bajo puntaje a este juego pero hablemos primero de su historia aunque me parece que no es muy original por lo mismo de que debemos rescatar a la hija del protagonista me parece original en el resto de aspectos, los gráficos están muy bien para su año, y las peleas son épicas, lo malo es que es una historia muy corta, unas 5 horas o 6 dependiendo de nuestra habilidad y si queremos los dos finales, que cabe mencionar ninguno es el final verdadero que te lo venden en DLC y esto es lo peor del juego. Y adicionalmente no lo recomiendo a las personas que no le gustan los juegos donde en cada momento tienes que presionar botones porque aquí tendremos mucho de eso, hasta el punto en que se siente como una película muy buena eso si pero corta e incompleta.     Beautiful story of cosmic proportions. This game has singlehandedly inspired more of my DnD games than I'd care to admit. I love this game. My favorite game of all time by far.

    Ridiculous, mind-blowing gamemovie with QTE and not much gameplay, but goddamn, I love this! Devs are gone mad, moving all in, and they did a great job about action, cinematics, visual and even optimization for unreal engine almost great enough. I hate to tell that it was their only one original game (the working on Naruto game series for the most part), but the game is awesome.

    A very solid 8 out of 10. Aside from some technical issues and true ending DLC, the story it provides is amazing, the characters are memorable and overall makes for a great time.

    I'll be perfectly honest, I'm only a couple hours in (which I've heard is a third of the game) and though I've heard some great things about this, I can't for the life of me understand why one might consider this more a game with clumsy, floaty fight mechanics, and less an interactive anime. The people calling this a god of war knockoff couldn't be more wrong. God of war combined excellent challenging fighting for long periods with cutscenes that were just as solid without overstaying their welcome. Can we STOP putting quick time events in cutscenes please?! When I see a cinematic I don't expect a pointless immediate death just to make sure I'm paying attention. By all means put it into the gameplay but leave the cutscenes to do what they're there to do. If I was watching a movie, and every 2 minutes the blueray wanted me to input a number on the remote within one second or the scene would restart, I'd throw the f*#@ing thing out the window!     Great new idea, it's like a boss game kind of god of war like, It's over the top action, and it's really enjoyable if you are a fan of japanese art style.

    It is true that there isn't much that can qualify as game play; It is more like an amalgamation of QTE sequences. The combat is quite shallow, and the ranking system is counter intuitive. That said, there are some truly EPIC interactive moments in this game, and that is more than I can say of most things in life.     This game is amazing for people who know anime. I recommend to play this game for it's story and gameplay style as well. If your into a game where you have to be brute, straight forward and be a bad ass main character, then this is the game for you.     Main game is 8/10. Real ending DLC is 10/10 and is what makes the game worth purchasing. Basically an over the top anime, with a really rage inducing story.

The visuals in this game is incredible to say the least! The art-style in this game is spectacular and seamlessly blends Japanese fantasy and science fiction into one of the most stunning games to look at. The gameplay is great too. Asura's wrath cleverly blends action, beat em up, and quick timed events into a cohesive interactive anime. However the game does have its faults. One of the biggest problems I had with the game were the characters. Aside from just not being that likeable, I have never seen more static group of characters in my life. Characters are suppose to be dynamic and develop as the story progresses, but these characters are flat! Asura remains the same throughout the whole story and solves all of his problems by breaking stuff.And I know what you're thinking, "But all Kratos does is break stuff," and yes that's true but Kratos actually has layers to him. Kratos shows mixed emotions towards the deeds he has done, and you see him suffer and regret the decisions he's made. But all this game teaches is that to fix your problems, all you need to do is get angry! I know that the characters are suppose to represent the seven deadly sins, and I know that Asura's suppose to represent the sin of wrath. I get that. Bu you could atleast make it a sin! If you take away his anger, Asura is just an impulsive child who throws a temper-tantrum whenever he doesn't get what he wants. I understand that they're suppose to represent the seven deadly sins, but that doesn't mean that that has to be their only personality trait. Over all Asura's wrath is an amazing game that looks and plays great, but the characters and story leaves much to be desired.… Expand

    One of the most underrated games i have ever played. Asura's Wrath can be summed up in two words: an Epic Experience. If you are an anime fan of any sort, this is a must buy. This is one of the few games i can actually skip past the gameplay and get invested in the story.

This is one of the few games i can actually skip past the gameplay and get invested in the story.

    The story is just great. Everything is just so enthralling and engaging that you will feel engaged to the story from beginning to end. There are so many epic moments i can't count them all at the top of my head. The story is also pretty damn sad and tragic to the point that there were moments i started to tear up. The characters are well done. There is the extremely relatable and badass protagonist, the very cool anti-hero, the cool bad guy, emotional helpers to the hero and the bad guy you hate and they are all done well.

    The music is some of the best music i have ever heard in a video game. Wind Fang and Vajra Deus vs Vajra Asura alone are just two examples of how great this soundtrack is and it makes every scene even more epic than it usually is.

    I honestly don't know why this game got hate from reviews. If you know you are going to experience more of an anime instead of a game, why hate on it. Every single aspect of this game is done extremely well. If The Walking Dead did it and got away with it, why can't Asura's Wrath? However, this is a game that you need to play for yourself to see if you like the game or not. I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in a literal "epic".    … Expand

All in all, get it for cheap, but not dirt cheap definitely a fantastic story with a thrilling soundtrack and art style to go with it, something new and fresh, but the gameplay is not for everybody, if you're looking for a cinematic heavy game with a story to tell this is definitely something to look at.     Asura's Wrath is an interactive manga comic. I clearly did not know enough about the game or it's source material before I picked it up. The main character is a time travelling space man/god who's trying to get revenge from those who betrayed him. The controls are horrific, its button mashing mixed with QTEs. Asura's Wrath on the other hand is a 4 hour long interactive movie with no more then 20 minutes of real hands on game play and a god awful amount of "quick time" button mashing events.     Now I will give it this, the graphics, art direction and use of cinema style presentation were done very well, but I wanted to play a game not watch a freakin movie. The idea of a game with this much back story and content should place you right in the shoes of the avatar and explore the world and watch the plot unfold as you play the role of Asura. What if you went and picked up lets say Final Fantasy 7 back in the 90's, you pop[ed that into your console and you had absolutely not controller of the game and all it did was TELL YOU and story instead of you PLAYING the story and embracing the discovery of what lies down the road and around ever corner. That the idea of a game.

    I'll wrap all this up with this, Asura's Wrath had all the right notes to compose into something wonderful, however the ones that were in control and responsible for arranging those notes together were completely tone def and devoid of reasoning since they set out to make a game and they just lost sight of the goal    … Expand

    [W]e put the controller down (during a 'gameplay' sequence) and watched in stunned frustration as the game continued on happily playing itself for six minutes. It's inconceivable that there are gameplay levels that cannot be failed or be changed by your actions. Even Dragon's Lair, the game that birthed the concept 29 years ago, had consequences.
