I think this game is awesome. I love everything about it. It's almost exactly like the cartoon. The monsters rock and so do the graphics. I can't wait to play the next one.

This game is very good but I would recomend it to more "proffessional" dual monsters players because of its modified playing system.

What are all of you babies whining about? I beat this game in two weeks. Probably could have done it quicker if I had had more time. Anyway, this game is one of the best I've ever seen, so don't go dissin' it.

This is a nice game I like it. It is only confusing for the first half hour you are playing it. And it is not that hard as many have said.

This Game was sweet But The only thing that was n`t cool were the decks. If I had the cards I Wanted, Like Red-Eyes Black Dragon I could Beat All the monsters including Blue-Eyes White Dragon Because it has 3400 Attack points Because It gets A Bonus 1000 Points extra since It is A 1st edition monster. This is probably my 2st Faviorite Game, my favorite game is Splinter Cell.

Duelist of roses is a great game however when you play Yu-gi-oh capule collisum the graphics are better, you get the actual voices from the show and they talk befor-during and after the duel which is a great thing. When I played Yu-gi-oh capsel collisum even was so much better including action, music, graphics, attacks, and they even had in Odian, Marik, Bakura, and all the others from battle city tournament like in the show. The only thing that wasn't good was that it was like a chess/checkers game. Expand

Game of my youth, still love it to this day. Looking back, it was a lot harder to me 9 years ago when I didn't know what the hell I was doing, ai could've used some work, but since it was released in 2003, i'll let it slide.
    GREAT GAME

The more time and brain power you invest into this game, the more you will be rewarded when you discover the depth of this game. It's a flawed masterpiece.

The game is really very good. I played and re-played with several packs of cards and it is still very amusing, meantime it is really difficult to make a deck with all the cool cards of the anime, thanks to cursed roulette, and to leave the deck leader at his max potential (even with the best possible method, it is still extremely long and discouraging).

Honestly i bought this only for the 3 official cards included with the game. It was a surprise the game is actually good. Best card game for the ps2.

-Incomplete game tutorial in my opinion, there's a lot that the game never bothers to explain to the player
-The campaign is set up in a way that ignores difficulty, some early game duelists are way too powerful and some late game duelists are way too easy
-The game should have consistent fusion rules and also inform or have a way to keep track of fusions that the player has already

-Monster ranking system is FAR TOO SLOW, and general leader ability balancing issues
-Terrain and Power Up advantages combined are a bit too much, general balancing issues

Overall the game has a steep learning curve and it's mostly the game's fault for being vague, however the many different starter decks and ways that the game allows the player to grind for cards and create decks with unique strategies makes for a fun and very replayable game

Every so often I go back to play this game. It was quite unique in that it still used the card system compared to coliseum. There was a lot of customization to get if you actually played through the game, as cards were rewarded to you in a slot-machine style prize system. Which meant you had to grind at times and play certain opponents over and over in hopes of getting say a Red Eyes BlackEvery so often I go back to play this game. Melhor jogo de Yu-Gi-Oh que já foi feito fico triste porque ele não teve uma continuação foi um dos jogos que mais joguei no meu PS2 desbloqueado e hoje ainda jogo pelo o emulador de PS2 do PC

My favorite game of yu gi oh, the sountrack is incredible and its gameplay once you get the hang of it can be very addictive, not to mention that the graphics are too good for the ps2. Being objective this game is well done, the only bad thing I see is that if you don't like the gameplay, you just won't like it. It's one of those games that you either love it or hate it

As you get deeper into the game, the attack/defense system starts to make sense, and the whole play experience becomes very tense and strategic. [Mar 2003, p.40]
  2. The presentation is terribly stripped-down, and as an odd duck sort of hybrid strategy game, it doesn't offer much accessibility or depth.

When these sorts of loaded odds are all you get in lieu of a competitive computer player, the whole thing feels like you're being cheated rather than challenged.
