    This game is cool with a great storyline and the snoop dawg cheat makes the game cos he swears his damn head off but is a bit annoying that you lose points if you kill civilians and compared to vice city vice city would win by far still it is an awesome game.

    this game sucks dont ever play it it is miserable like its so easy it sucks the controls are impossible and ur a cop it doesnt come close to gta there just trying to copy but they couldnt cause it sucks i cant believe that people actually like it like it should be burned its a waste of time and money i wouldnt even rent it i cant believe i did and if i could i wold go lower than 0

    I definitely wanted this game to be awesome-but it just isn't--after being able to just do whatever i wanted in vice city now i'm confined by outdated linear storytelling-some good aspects to the game-but overall when san andreas comes out we will all be using this game to rest our drinks on.

    I don't get how reviewers are raving over this. There are so many bugs (going through walls, cuffing people 6 feet away from them, the slow response in the fighting sequences). The main character says some woefully cheesy lines, and the plot doesn't seem to build up to much. The progress is very stilited too, drive - fight- shoot, drive - fight - shoot.     I've played it and i think it is better than gta: vice city. 1.the story is fab. 2.the gameplay the handling of cars is not that good u have to get use it apart from that the fighting and shooting is good. must get 100percent. you can get ferraris i say the getaway in la.

    This game is good,but one thing will get to you...the length.Once you start playing your like,"Damn this game is awsome."But when you beat it your like,"Damn this game sucks."If you are gonna buy it, try renting it before. Overall I would still give it a 10.

    This game was so nice and the frames were so nice i enjoyed it so much and the realistic ways. The story lines were GREAT!!!!!

    A total rip off GTA III and Vice City and it's maaad short. A day is enough to finish the whole thing. The fighting feature is pretty cool though.

    This game is awesome, it rocks the badass driving skills well improved from Grand Theft Auto or any other game of the sort. The shooting is way more advanced then like Max Payne or like Dead to Rights. And the Karate style fighting rivals street fighter...ok a little overboard on that one. but it is awesome and the storyline is interesting, the only thing it lacks is length. the bonusThis game is awesome, it rocks the badass driving skills well improved from Grand Theft Auto or any other game of the sort.     This game is hottttttt! gamespot, gamepro and any other sites that give this game a lower score then a 9 or 10 are wrong period. as long as you can adjust to the controls its better than gta.

    the game is pure amazing with no failing missions when i didnt get to the place on
    time i didnt fail i just had to chase the perp i cant believe how good this game is the controls are great the graphics unbelievabe and anyone who plays this game will love it and wont stop

    What a joke. I cannot believe I waited for this!! I was counting on a game like GTA. The game is way too short even with all three endings. What the hell "true crime streets of la" I thought If you could find it in LA it would be in this game? What the hell are zombies and flaming skulls doing in LAs underground? I lived there before and I never saw that crap. Dont buy it wait for a new GTA.

It by far swiped out GTA, yes the game is short but look how big the city is.The graphics gave it the ups for me though.Like when you are in HQ, the close up's make it next step to real life. The A.I. is really good you can go around the corner come back and your car will still be there.Tell the truth it wasnt like that in GTA. I really like how Okay, To me this game is the best. The car features were really good I like the 90' turn aned the jack nife, even though no one is payin attention I still like showin off in the higway and the city.Not only that the cars are more like real life, not every car you steal tops out at 100 m.p.h. .Now the fighting can get alittle agurvating cause when you lose you constantly think what you did wrong and you try to change that on a non stop.But the teroy of it is you win some you lose some.I liked having the guns at hand having the two pistols brings the thug act to L.A. .But every one can agree when you get in a shoot out you really had to think the best route.I think people are hating on this game because it's more realistic and you do have limits and they dont like that. I do have to follow on what one said about the zombies and the heads, but every one has there own myths.I liked the fact you could arrest people cause It gave you some odd jobs here and there. … Expand

    Good this game and think better. I ramshock in LA excellent shoot. The ease faster cars jump vision and gangsters fun. Better than Vice when guns and drive through well too. Rate awesome story good get freedom rings and traveling crime well worth the money paid when store in.

    The game is awesome, even if is a lot worse than Vice City, but still kicks a**, the Standar set by GTA is to high, this is a good try with some thingsGTA doesn´t have, but it misses to much of the cool stuff. plus this game U can finich in 3 days or less.

    Well when I first saw it on the shelf I thought, here we go the start of the GTA clones. But looking at the back and reading the previews I thought what the hell, and bought it.     This game may have GTA elements, but I personally think it improves. This time you are on the other side of the law as a sort of renegade cop. It is cool the things you can do like flash a badge, shoot warning shots, manually aim, and you get random crimes from your dispatch like street racers, cock fights, and even bum brawls Great Game, a must rent if not buy.

Like those kind of graphics, not neccesarily bad but...awkward... And hitting pretty thick trees causing them to be uprooted with ease?? Please.     This game can kick the ass of any other competitor, sure it may have a GTA feel but its another league GTA is possibly 1 of the besst games EVER but so is this. Kick ass shoot people and burn rubber! wot better combination!

    After you have overcome the rather frustrating controls you are given, this game can be very fun. You can build your character up to such a bad-a@@ fighter, and your car can be made in to the ultimate Crime catching vehicle. The AI for the pedestrians is also very good, along with pretty much the rest of the game.

    This game was a good game, the hole game is to easy except for commander Kim and the chick with pink hair. Needs more stelth missions they are the best.

    If your playing this game as if it's GTA it's a let down. Good training facilities, pretty good graphics and some good humour in Nick. Missions need to be harder.

    This game blows. Yeah you get to travel around in a huge city but there is nothing to do. After 3 hours of playing i have no desire to ever touch it again. Don't even rent this game, rent kill.switch or something. This game sucks ass.

    The gameplay is good, but it could better. Even though the map isn't full of mostly everything LA has to offer, it's still Massive. 240 square miles. The combat could of been better. Everyone can easily dodge your kicks. The street crimes were also cool. The story was average. But the poor physic, awful controls and lack of making setting look a colorful and more amazing made me give a 7.The gameplay is good, but it could better.     Sadly this is where the similarities end and the negatives come up. True Crime has very unintuitive controls with poor combat responsiveness (Metal Gear games suffer similarly, but people are at least used to that scheme), the cars all drive as if they're made of helium balloons and can't decide if they want to stick to the road like glue or rubber, the gunplay is boring and doesn't feel powerful, the meelee combat is slow and poorly designed for a transition to or from gunplay...
    Not to mention the main character is a complete and total unlikable ass (See: Anakin Skywalker) with a contemporary East-meets-West thing going on, but without the martial arts to back it up.

    tl;dr?
    Not GTA. Not Dirty Harry. Bad controls. Plays like ****

    It's like a poor man's Grand Theft Auto. The game doesn't feel as polished as it should be and was a let down when it released. Might be worth a one time play through if you can find for cheap.

There are gunfights, martial-art dojos, stealth levels, car races, foot chases, etc. This game is highly-polished, but extremely cheesy thanks to the pedestrian humor.     I must say, I didn't think I could be surprised at how much I could enjoy such an old game. Out of all the GTA clones out there, this one sure drops the ball, but still walks away with some redeeming features.

    Story is serviceable enough with a very good cast for the era it was created. Nothing overly special though. It is lacking some quality of life features that the GTA franchise was know for. Where True Crimes stands out is the game-play as a cop. Controls are clunky as hell, but the ability to arrest people and trigger some pinpoint aiming does make for a fairly unique experience.

    What really lets this one down more so than the controls is the overall lack of flow in the level design. When having to hit the streets to stop crime, it feels more like busy work than authentically operating as a cop.

    There are some game-play features that are different enough to warrant a play through if you are a fan of the open world genre. But this one falls just short of being a staple in video game history.    … Expand

    One of the most entertaining games I've played in a long time. It has a ton of injoke humor, action, car chases, explosions, violence, adult situations and language - it's what adult videogames are all about...Should you buy TC? You'd be a damn mother****ing fool not to. You can print that.
