An utterly superb game.
-
Despite all these incremental improvements and new features not much has changed with the AC series. Silent Line: Armored Core looks and plays nearly the same as it did three years and two versions ago.

PSM MagazineMechanized simulation fans are going to go nuts with the freedom and myriad options that Silent Line offers its players. [Aug 2003, p.27]
-
If the whole Japanese-mech scene is yours, however, it's a good bet that the Armored Core series will appeal, and that the numerous customization options will offer you more than the typical "expansion kit" could ever hope for.
-
I'd most liken this title to Armored Core: Project Phantasma, as although most AC games have a small mystery going on in their backstory, this one is quite nasty, and well, like Phantasma.
-
If you loved "Armored Core 3," you're going to have a field day with this.
-
Game InformerThe most interesting addition is the ability to create your own AI in Arena mode. [July 2003, p.107]
-
This is obviously a niche game, but it's a damn good niche game.
