Instead of being a series savior, Dead Aim is more like Pete Rose finally admitting he bet on baseball. Too little. Too late.
-
Its a nice combination of horror and hysterics, a fresh take long overdue with this style of game.
-
Cheat Code CentralDead Aim while not perfect manages to combine the feel and game play of the RE series and add the light-gun in and it works well.
-
It'll nonetheless scare the living crap out of would-be heroes and haters alike. Diverging from tradition, this is the game that finally puts the gun survivor series on the map.
-
Play MagazineWhat you will find is plenty of labyrinth-style gaming, bone-chilling sound effects, gore galore, finely tuned first-person shooting, amazing CG, stunning creature design and crazy detail. [June 2003, p.63]
-
An interesting action/shooter and a worthy side story for the series. Forget about the ill-fated "Survivor" Dead Aim is a first-person Resident Evil game that works.
-
While the game isn't nearly long enough to be considered a true Resident Evil title, it's still up to five times longer than other light gun shooters, is more immersive, looks better, and gives more incentive for replay than other light gun games on the market.
-
PlayboyDead Aim's targets can act more disoriented than a boatload of Florida retirees. [July 2003, p.34]
-
I found it innovative and engrossing, and I think it's a great new direction for both the genre of light gun games and the Resident Evil series. At least until they finally let you play as a zombie...
-
The controls are clunky, the graphics are below average, and the story is plain. The best things about Dead Aim are its concept and entertainment factor.
