It's not great, especially since most of the gameplay is either generic or just flat out cliche. But Red Dead Revolver still offers some impressive visuals, great scenery, and funny dialog.

Rescued from cancellation by Rockstar Games Red Dead Revolvers strained development is all too obvious in the games lack of polish, both in terms of visuals and gameplay. Despite this there are enough interesting ideas in this third-person shooter to ensure it never becomes a chore to play and, if nothing else, it provided the template for the fantastic follow up Red Dead Redemption.

Read dead revolver has some Great western gameplay, best western of its time with some good story and funner gunplay that kept me laughing and enjoying my childhood.

I Was A Little Disapointed At The Lack Of Freedom In The Game At The Start But I Soon Settled Into To It Once You Get A Few Chapters In But Overall Red Dead Revolver Is A Nice Looking , Great Shoot Em Up And Unlike Other Shoot Em Ups You Can Play It Over Again And Still Love It As Much As The First Time.

Whereas I could not imagine myself playing Red Dead Revolver over and over again, I still find that it is a nice and enjoyable western game. Once you work the quirks out, it's pretty much straightforward stuff too. Makes for a solid rental, but not one you would permanently want on your shelf.

The predecessor to the superior Red Dead Redemption. This game has aged badly, but still is pretty fun and decently well done. Not worth going out of your way to play, but interesting to play if you are a fan of RDR, or it's recently released sequel.

Red Dead Revolver is a wacky and entertaining Western-themed shooter. Unlike its highly-acclaimed sequel or Activision's Gun, this is not an open-world action title. The game's structure is level-based and each scenario is extremely linear. However, upgrades and items are provided in a small town you can wander through before each mission. Story-wise, "Revolver" tells a simple revenge tale told through the perspectives of several playable characters. It is the equivalent of a Spaghetti Western. Overall, this isn't one of Rockstar's best releases, but it's fun. I would rate it with a 7.6 out of 10. Expand

Слишком сложный и примитивный геймплей, но стилистика и персонажи интересные. Требует задрачивания что бы открыть бонусы.

The bossfights are challenging to say the least and took way to long for me thanks to my gaming skills but the one I got frustrated at the most was the bar fight mission which was combat focused in the beginning and I hated it the boss’s time to hit is hard especially when the four table are destroyed and there’s nothing else and I couldn’t outsmart since he paused once I would move out of the way

The duels were good since I liked demolishing the enemies with 20 shots Overall 5/10 mediocre experience and didn’t feel great compared to other titles on the ps2 relapsed prior especially by rockstar this is one of their few games I didn’t enjoy as much if your looking for better western games I would recommend gun or call of Juarez thanks for reading my review and personal opinion and I hope you’ll be able to form your own conclusion.

  1. Nothing more than an average execution of an above-average idea. And here's an idea for next time, how about some online play?

When we say that Red Dead is a great little game, the emphasis is as much on the 'little' as it is on the 'great'. [June 2004, p.102]
  3. Not as deep as "Manhunt" or "GTA" but some of the best fun you'll have with a bottle of firewater and some very old guns. [GamesMaster]
