  1. A snail in an Olympic sized pool moves faster than this game, and it gets to the point where it becomes too frustrating to play.
  2. This easily pales in comparison next to "Z.O.E." or "Armored Core 2," and I'm not interested in spending more time with it.
  3. The control can be a pain but the strength of the Gundam story is good enough to struggle through it.
  4. Next Generation Magazine

The lack of multiplayer combat consigns this one to mediocrity. [Nov 2001, p.108]
  5. Electronic Gaming Monthly
    40
Only a hollow shell of the landmark 1979 series that started it all. [Oct 2001, p.148]
  6. Once again, Gundam gamers are left with the wrong end of the beam saber. More bad control, less game and more advertisements.

The controls are different from what your normally use. It works b/c it gives weight to the gundam. After a while you get use to it. Pretty short game but there is some extra stuff you can do after you beat the game and other gundam get unlocked. The only reason why its getting rated so low is b/c of the controls which if you played the game enough it´s really not as bad as ppl make it out to be. If you don´t mind learning how to play the game you will most likely enjoy it. Full Review »

Each mech had a variable tolerance for inputing different types of moves. Once you learn the limitations of each mech it is not hard at all to make them do what you want. The downside of the game is the lack of missions to play. The story mode is great but very brief and not to challenging. The tactic battles are also great fun (I played them till i had S+ ratings for all the missions) but there were only three mission maps. Full Review »
