Aug 22, 2023I loved playing this game with my brother. So many hours of fun. Good old days, man.

Jan 26, 2023Game is pretty forgettable. Not very challenging either. Framerate can drop quite a bit in some sections. That said there is still some fun to be had and I liked the jungle/ temple theming.

Jul 30, 2022It's a shame how this game had so much potential and yet it was thrown away. A Medal of Honor set in the Pacific theatre would have been gorgeous - but this game sank like the USS Arizona. Fortunately, the empty stomach that Rising Sun left us with was filled in Pacific Assault, the game that proved a Medal of Honor in the Pacific was a great idea.

Jul 21, 2012Not the best of the MOH series, nevertheless a good war yarn. Interesting foray into the Pacific War, albeit a tad unrealistic. The Japanese don't always Banzai charge, like shown in the game. Graphics aren't the best, but the compelling game play, plot, and weapons make it a vivacious roller coaster. Definitely worth a second glance.

JesseS.Jun 19, 2005When will they stop making the exactly same game!? There is fun to be had with this title, but its more like an expansion pack for Medal of Honor Frontline. You'll definitley feel like you're playing the same game, with a different map pack and with different enemies.

JoshB.Dec 7, 2003Well, the beggining Pearl Harbor level rocked, but it was down hill from there, plus it was far too linear. I'd reccomend a rental, but that is it.

KyleK.Dec 7, 2003I absolutely love this game because of the graphics and levels. I am disgusted though at how damn short it is. 5 little hours and that's the end of a brilliant game. if there were 20 or so levels this would go top. The multiplayer is wicked. (i only found out you could have bots after i finished the game). Great game

DanielF.Dec 4, 2003This game had a lot to live up to being another MOH game...was disapointing, but not bad, a wee bit short and a lack of change background, mainly jungle... great to see they now have multi player (online). in its own right this is a pretty good game.

medalofdumpDec 2, 2003You have to be kidding! I have had farts that lasted longer than that game! What a rip off! Worst ending ever! It was around 85% shorter than fronline. What a scam! The ending made no sense, you had no clue the game was coming to an end. RIP OFF! THE GAME WAS TOTALL GARBAGE, just like the scumbags who made it.

KBNov 27, 2003A lot of fun...really..but was disappointed at how fast it ended.

MichaelM.Nov 26, 2003This game is better than all other Medal Of Honor games!

JeremyB.Nov 25, 2003The game is fantastic. It is so much fun. Cool locations, great missions, lots of action. It is Way better than Frontline. The co-op multiplayer is very, very cool. Can't wait to try the online.

JHNov 20, 2003Graphics, sounds, gameplay were all good. But I felt ripped off for my $53.26 when the single player campain ended after only 9 missions. The two player campain and multiplayer are a plus, but don't make up for the lack of effort; an effort that Frontline seemed to have more of.

A formulaic, by the numbers FPS with zero innovation, demented AI and a crushing lack of inspiration.
-
It's not a bad game, but then again, it's not the be-all and end-all Pacific-theater FPS we expected. The primary emphasis on gloss and glamour over gameplay and challenge suggests that Rising Sun is geared more toward the tyro rather than the savant.
-
Quite simply, the game offers nothing that you cant get in the other games, and cant have a better time getting in the other games.
