When will they stop making the exactly same game!? There is fun to be had with this title, but its more like an expansion pack for Medal of Honor Frontline. You'll definitley feel like you're playing the same game, with a different map pack and with different enemies.

This game was not much more than a series of jungles as you take a corner and shoot someone, cross a bridge and shoot someone, ride an elephant and shoot someone. The quick ending was a maddening dissapointment and seemed to fall where the middle of the game should have been. Where Frontline had all kinds of extra nuances (shoot a window, it shatters, shoot a hanging pan, it pings and rattles on its hook), nothing of the like was available here. There seemed to be zero AI with the enemy, and apart from the sound effects the atmosphere was equivalent to N64's Doom. I completely regret paying retail price for this disappointing follow up to one of the best games to have been released in the recent past. Expand

You have to be kidding! I have had farts that lasted longer than that game! What a rip off! Worst ending ever! It was around 85% shorter than fronline. What a scam! The ending made no sense, you had no clue the game was coming to an end. RIP OFF! THE GAME WAS TOTALL GARBAGE, just like the scumbags who made it.

I absolutely love this game because of the graphics and levels. I am disgusted though at how damn short it is. 5 little hours and that's the end of a brilliant game. if there were 20 or so levels this would go top. The multiplayer is wicked. (i only found out you could have bots after i finished the game). Great game

Graphics, sounds, gameplay were all good. But I felt ripped off for my $53.26 when the single player campain ended after only 9 missions. The two player campain and multiplayer are a plus, but don't make up for the lack of effort; an effort that Frontline seemed to have more of.

The latest production in the Medal of Honor series is a really great game. "Rising Sun" is a realistic view of a real marine in the pacific theater. Although, like all other games in the series, it lacks the real feeling of "war." In other words, a little blood wouldn't hurt the ratings or reviews, but would help the feeling of being emersed in battle.

Not the best of the MOH series, nevertheless a good war yarn. Interesting foray into the Pacific War, albeit a tad unrealistic. The Japanese don't always Banzai charge, like shown in the game. Graphics aren't the best, but the compelling game play, plot, and weapons make it a vivacious roller coaster. Definitely worth a second glance.

On different missions in the single player campaign you get to play as a team with your A.I. squadmates, but most of the time they are just standing at random places, waiting for you to move and several times I saw them being stuck running into walls.

I would rate Medal of Honor Rising sun 6 out of 10 for the single player campaign and 10 out of 10 for its multi player mode, which makes an average of 8 out of 10.

It's a shame how this game had so much potential and yet it was thrown away. A Medal of Honor set in the Pacific theatre would have been gorgeous - but this game sank like the USS Arizona. Fortunately, the empty stomach that Rising Sun left us with was filled in Pacific Assault, the game that proved a Medal of Honor in the Pacific was a great idea.

  2. It's not a bad game, but then again, it's not the be-all and end-all Pacific-theater FPS we expected. The primary emphasis on gloss and glamour over gameplay and challenge suggests that Rising Sun is geared more toward the tyro rather than the savant.
  3. Quite simply, the game offers nothing that you can’t get in the other games, and can’t have a better time getting in the other games.
