Play MagazineFor a game that came out of nowhere Dark Angel delivers the prime time goods and then some. [Jan 2003, p.60]
-
The game can actually be quite fun for a few minutes, and then the pacing screws everything up with stealthy missions that require a gamer with an iron will to wrestle with the problematic camera.
-
Unfortunately, the stealth elements fall tragically short of well conceivedits more along the lines of comically maddening.
-
PSM MagazineIt's a middle-of-the-road action title with "Matrix"-like effects and bullet time of sorts, which results in an average experience with lots of flash. [Jan 2003, p.40]
-
Just as Dark Angel is guilty of repetitive character models and backgrounds, the game design is guilty of repetitive action, which is unbelievably stagnant.
-
The A.I. featured in the game is pretty much an utter embarrassment.
-
Game InformerThis is a brawler. It allegedly has stealth, too, but it's the most pathetic, poorly done sneaking around I've seen. [Jan 2003, p.96]
-
Stay away from this game at all costs, if you see it in the store, turn and run away now!
-
I probably got very close to the end, but I just couldn't endure it any longer. The wretched camera angles, the lackluster level design and the repetitious gameplay were more than I could take for a full 25 missions.
