A renter. Even a close source to me who is a long time devotee to the series seemed a bit uncertain as to whether or not he was impressed with the game.
-
Just consider it a still-good, if a little threadbare hand-me down from your PC-gaming big brother Trip Hawkins.
-
I haven't seen such lame animations since the early days of Sega Genesis. This is supposed to be the PlayStation2 for crying out loud. How difficult is it to do create some cool fighting animations?
-
While some hardcore gameplay fans may appreciate the purity of this experience, the plot and lack of characters is so glaring, I find it hard to believe even so-called "hardcore gamers" won't find it annoying.
-
Has a few surprises and some significant flaws. While die-hard strategy fans and extreme fans of the Heroes series on the PC might get a kick out of this one, it's really a rental at best.
-
GamePowerFans of the earlier Heroes Of Might & Magic PC games, however, will be shocked at how dumbed-down their beloved strategy game has become on the PS2.

Dec 12, 2018Beautifully underrated game. It's actually a remake of King's Bounty for DOS.
It's very faithful and succeeds in every way. -
