    I played a lot of games, but this one tops them all, it is so mind blowing because theres so much things you can do in it. My favorite, is playing pool for money.

    This game is the best game ever made and i hope gta5 is evan better but if they make a gta5 i hope they make chaenges like u could name your own gang and u could choose your own color for your game and create your player to play in gta and could make the city evan more bigger.

    A very good game but I still enjoyed vice city more for a couple reasons. Tommy from VC was a great character because he was a total wise guy, while CJ is just a sterotypical gangsta. Also san andreas lost some of the humor that pushed the last 2 GTA games though the roof.

    San Andreas is the best of the GTA 3 series of games for the PS2. The gameplay and minigames are leaps and bounds ahead of the others. The graphics have gradually improved with each game, though they are still nothing extremely special. The setting is great, Vice City put you there, but you really truly get immersed in San Andreas.

    It's the TOP of all Grand Theft Autos, why? 'cos it like 3 cites in 1, ya can gamble, play more odd games, (* pool, dancing, eating/drinking, dating, change clothes, hairstyles, even a tattoo if ya like etc...) also your character now swims, parachutes & flys all different types of aircraft...(Vice City afew, GTA3 none if hardly any, plus ya DROWN/die when ya in the water!) It's the TOP of all Grand Theft Autos, why? GTA SA popularity has a reason: game took GTA III and Vice City exploration and triplicates it adding more things to do and much more freedom. And the story... such a wonderful story...     Um dos melhores jogos do ps2, unico defeito é o enredo meio confuso, a historia do game, porem a jogabilidade e a trilha sonora sao otimas, um jogo onde vc escolhe ate estações de radio pra ouvir e muito bom mesmo.

    An all around bloodbath of carnage, dirty deeds, and heinous acts, and an absolute masterpiece all at the same time. Goes down in my books as one of my top 10 games of all-time.

    This is one of my favourite GTA game in the series beside GTA 5. The graphics on my iPad are great for a game from 2004. I'm a huge fan of the GTA series owning GTA LCS, GTA SA, GTA 4 and GTA 5.

    Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is one of the greatest games of all time.This game is almost perfect.Everybody I know likes this game.The graphics aren't too good but they are not too bad either.I have the PC version of the game.The gameplay is excellent.There is plenty of stuff you can do in the game such as get    Rated M for Strong Language,Violence,Blood,Sexual Content and Drug Use.

    Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is one of the greatest games of all time.This game is almost perfect.Everybody I know likes this game.The graphics aren't too good but they are not too bad either.I have the PC version of the game.The gameplay is excellent.There is plenty of stuff you can do in the game such as get tattoos and haircuts,Go to stores,dance at nightclubs,date girlfriends or basically kill and maim cops and pedestrians.This is not the newest Grand Theft Auto game.The newest one is Liberty City Stories.I have not played that one however I hear it is not as good as this one.The soundtrack to the game while not as good as the one in Vice City does have some very good songs on it.It has songs by Dr.Dre,Eazy-E,Ice Cube,NWA,Ozzy Osbourne,Depeche Mode etc.There are more vehicles such as jets.My only problem with this game is that vice city was more fun to play over and over again.In Vice City there were very few difficult missions.There are not too many difficult missions in this game but the ones that are difficult are really frustrating and hateful.I beat GTA Vice City three times already.I only beat San Andreas once.The game is about a man named Carl Johnson(or CJ) who goes back to his neighborhood to find his mothers killer and reunite his old gang.Doing this takes him all over the state of San Andreas where he meets plenty of different characters.San Andreas is an excellent game and I suggest buying it.Also if parents are worried about the hot-coffee mod you wont find it in the game.If you child is impressionable or young don't get him this game.

    Este juego nunca pasara al olvido, es algo fascinante, la historia es demasiado increíble ademas de muy larga y fascinante, se ven pocos juegos como este porque es demasiado completo. Es demasiado realista en cuanto a jugabilidad, los gráficos eran buenos para la época (2004) el sonido excelente y muy innovador.

This game was born in 2005 and this game is very amazing game for 2005 . This game has got normal graphics for 2005 and amazing storyline .     San Andreas follows the trend of 10/10 releases from Rockstar. This game was the biggest to date when it released and easily one of the best games on the system. A must play game.

    One of the best videogames in history. Even today it is still playable and aged amazingly well. This game was such a mindblowing experience backthen which offered so much fun and the replayability is endless.

    I have played and beat this game several times over the years and there is no doubt that this is an instant classic. Not only did this game give us many of the modern game mechanics that we know and love in our current GTA titles but holds up to today's gameplay mechanics in its own right. So you play as CJ, a former gangster that left San Andreas to start a new life but is brought backI have played and beat this game several times over the years and there is no doubt that this is an instant classic. Not only did this game give us many of the modern game mechanics that we know and love in our current GTA titles but holds up to today's gameplay mechanics in its own right. So you play as CJ, a former gangster that left San Andreas to start a new life but is brought back into the fold upon the death of his mother. CJ quickly realizes that his family and old gang is in disarray and does what he can to help deal with inner turmoil, rival gangs, and crooked cops.

    Let us start with gameplay mechanics. Rockstar really upped their game with more responsive movements and handling. You really feel like you are in total control of everything you do from driving to aiming. Past GTA entries often had an annoying twitchy feeling making aiming and turning very sudden and unpredictable. You now also have the option to manually aim your weapons other than your sniper rifle. The story itself is very solid and entertaining. You do feel invested in the character and want to see the story to its end. Missions are varied and interesting. One minute your hunting down gangsters in Los Santos and the next you are burning a weed field in the rural countryside. Racing and side missions are also satisfying and varied.

    My biggest issue with the game and that seems to have been worked out in future GTA's is the emptiness of the very large open world. A lot of time and effort was put in to make the map the largest ever but so much of it just feels like its big for the sake of being big. I guess this adds to the sense of realism but can really make going from city to city feel like a chore at times especially since there are no fast travel options. Don't get me wrong the story is good but it did not speak to me in a personal way that the past two titles did and the future two titles did as well.

    There is no doubt this is one of my all-time favorites. If you were to tell me you have to replay one game to its story conclusion this would be a top candidate on my list (but it would be Vice City). This is a classic everyone should play at least once. 9/10 Great.    … Expand

    It has it's flaws, but GTA: SA is by far one of the greatest of its kind, even put up against the latest games in the series. It has its own unique charm that Rockstar perfected.

    GTA San Andreas is my favorite of the GTA games. The story, characters and gameplay were all masterclass. The side activities and music were all amazing as well. I always found myself flying a plane with Tom Petty playing, driving through the countryside listening to Conway Twitty, Jerry Reed, etc and be zoned out of real life for hours. The twists and turns in the game were alsoGTA San Andreas is my favorite of the GTA games. The story, characters and gameplay were all masterclass.     Was playing this game the other day and just couldn't help but be amazed at the amount of content it includes. The story by itself is amazing but the open world aspects are just so much fun! This game completely deserves every bit of praise that it has received.

    One of my favorit games on the PS2. I just love this game, the first real open world game in which you could do just about everything your little, criminal heart desired. Unique about this GTA game is that you could even play with two gamers on the same console! Hours and hours of fun blowing stuff up, stealing cars, killing cops and driving over pedestrians! It doesn't get much better than this.

    One of the best PS2-Games ever. First GTA-Title I played and I love nearly every aspect of the game. In the PS2-Version is also a more or less hidden local Multiplayer-Mode.

    For me, this was the best GTA game. At the time, the graphics were top notch, and there were many additions like bicycles and stabbing that added to the game. In terms of gameplay, it was the same as the other GTAs but they had territories to claim. I have no idea why they removed the territories from later GTAs, it was an awesome addition to an otherwise monotonous game.

    There is very little I can say about this game that spanned most of my childhood. Although it is a very old game, it is one of the rare games that I will enjoy even if I play it now.     I mean, it's a great game, but the story is a bit... meh. Nothing special. And the action is a bit repetitive in some points. The best is the map, 3 cities and a lot of country in between to get lost looking for easter eggs and details. So yeah, play it even if it's not te best GTA out there.

    Amazing. This was done when Rockstart still made great games. It is a shame what Rockstar has become. For me the PS2 is the truly definitive edition of this game.

    Considero essa a versão definitiva de verdade. Não só por causa da nostalgia que ela me trás, mas principalmente, por ser até hoje a versão com todo o conteúdo presente, e com menos problemas.
    Sempre joguei na casa de amigos, e por isso nunca completei o jogo no PS2. mesmo assim, as várias horas que eu passei jogando, foram suficientes para eu considerar ela como a melhor.

    GTA San Andreas is the best GTA I've ever played and i played all GTAs except GTA london and the new feature like fat stamina and muscle are very cool and finally u can SWIM this is the coolest new feature in GTA San Andreas i think.

    Brilliant game. Will always have time to play this. I still enjoy this game to this day. I don't need to write a full review because I'm sure everyone has played this by now. The story line is amazing and all the characters are unique and memorable. The graphics on the PS2 are still great although the Xbox original one is definitely better. Some people how ever may prefer the PS2 looking one.

    This is probably still my all-time favourite game. Back in 2004, this game was absolutely mind-blowing, and the gameplay and especially the story still hold up to this day.

    I believe you cannot dislike San Andreas. This is an icon already. The well-known characters that feel real, very interesting plot, entertaining gameplay - it all contributes to an amazing game that you can play multiple times while still enjoying it.
    As it is a holly grail of the gaming community, it's hard to talk about the disadvantages - yes, it is violent, vulgar and cliche. But at    I believe you cannot dislike San Andreas.     The story is pretty well-done. Characters are all memorable. Voice acting fits really well and has some unforgettable actors involved, like Samuel Jackson, David Cross, and Ice-T. The dialogue brings up a lot of social commentary, which I feel like is an underappreciated aspect of these games, and this game does it exceptionally well, referencing the LA riots from 1992, among plenty of topics here and there.
    Plus, this game can be funny. "All you men think about is ****ing! **** this! **** that!" "I'm sorry, baby!"
    The map is relatively huge and well-made. Everything flows really well, with loading times only being for building interiors / missions. You can swim, use a jetpack, and all the other normal GTA stuff like use tanks, planes, military helicopters, parachute from anywhere, take the train... You can date multiple girlfriends, who provide perks, vehicles, and outfits as you progress. Worth it for the two girls who let you keep your stuff when you die or get arrested.
    The added mechanics and different stats do make this a pretty immersive game. Gang territories are actually pretty fun, despite being somewhat repetitive.

    However, we must admit there are a few problems with this thing that can be pretty hard to overlook.
    First, it is incredibly frustrating to lose certain weapons after doing missions. It's weird, some missions will end with you have 50 rockets, and then after other missions, you'll lose like all your ammo for a couple weapons.
    Second, flying is such a pain in the ass to get used to sometimes. I feel like it adds some weight of realism, but the reason these GTA games are so fun is because they get ridiculous, and it comes across as more clunky.
    Third, buying clothes takes SO LONG. It takes like a full minute just to try on and buy 4 articles of clothing. I watched unrelated videos online to fill the time so I can buy everything, which is also kind of an issue: There isn't a big thing to buy. I can buy everything out well before the game is over.
    Fourth, I was not warned that I would lose the option of gang territories after about 30% of the story was done. This made me keep waiting for when they'd bring it back and it made me start to get a little impatient with the story, which did get a little bit tangential after that.

    That all said, it's still a really fun and addictive experience. The game's got a lot of personality, it does a lot of things right, despite its flaws, and I would consider it a top-tier PS2 game.    … Expand

Carl "CJ" Johnson is a great protagonist (although Niko is almost tied with him as my favorite) and his story is one that I will never get tired of. From being a nobody to ushering his gang Grove Street Families to dominance twice, his adventures all over Los Santos, San Fierro, the countryside and Las Venturas, to being the most powerful man in San Andreas by the endgame, as well as being the first protagonist who can swim, CJ brings a lot to the table and is very essential to this game's enjoyment. Other characters are also great, be it as good guys, bad guys, bad guys doing good like Woozie, or supposedly good guys doing bad like Bog Smoke and Ryder, or maybe they're just hood guys. Frank Tenpenny is a great villain and Samuel L. Jackson played him to perfection along with the other voice actors in this game. Cesar Vialpando is my 2nd favorite as he is really a very dependable friend in this game..
    Currently playing on Android so I can play on the go, I consider the PC version better because of the modifications but I'll never forget the OG. The original game that defined my teen years.

    - Different missions that are really cool and fun
    - Story
    - A lot of good content (side missions, etc)
    - A great open world filled with life/realism

    Cons:
    - Boring missions (driving from point A to B, etc)
    - It can be challenging sometimes

    After a platinum and 102 hours played, i recommend it to everyone.

Holy hell the first impressions were so great and not just the first ones my overall impression of this game is great. This is maybe my most favorite game of all my fav games :)
    I remember the graphics were pretty good on both PS2 and a PC, the only disadvantage of the PC version is 2 players mode, had a lot of fun with that on PS2. Altho i can play the PC version today unlike the PS2 one today on PS5 :/
    The only thing i remember that was not really revlutionary for the day was the draw/render distance, but its never been rly good in R* games engines, lets be honest.
    I still enjoy this game today on a PC or mobile version, the story is so good, the overall environment is just so immersive, the surrounding, the music, the population, the transport AI, pedestrians AI, etc. it is simply a masterpiece and one of the best games ever made, always like to come back and relax.    … Expand

    San Andreas's chief advantage over "Vice City" is size. And for many players, that's good enough. But another group of fans will come to quietly understand that, at least for the time being, "Vice City" remains the high point of the GTA series.
