    Si te gustan los juegos de auto...este es el tuyo!! Eso si, tiene una curva de dificultad para conseguir autos y logros un poco elevada...y eso puede frustrarte muy rapido...

    I was amazed at how good this game looked, really nice not knowing how to drive those cars that behaved differently than my need for speed game, great music, great cars, gameplay, you can even play at 1080i resolution if i remember correctly which is insane for the PS2 bruh this game is nice.

    Undoubtly one of the best games for consoles ever! Racing games arent even my favorite genre, although I have played a lot of racing games, I love every gaming genre and im not a racing games fanatic. But this game was, and still is, just sooo great in every aspect. It offers A LOT. Huuuge variety of races, tracks, cars challenges and if you want to get it to 100% it will honestly takeUndoubtly one of the best games for consoles ever! There are endurance races which last 24h REAL TIME, which is really fun and incredible for its when the game came out. Driving/handling is really awesome and realistic with great feel to it, especially given the fact that it is more of a face SIM than arcade. Game that was ahead of its time im so many ways. Best graphics ever seen on PS2 and better graphics than a lot of games on PS3 and Xbox360. Although I personally played and liked some PS2 games more than this one, I think this game is objecively the best game for that console. It is also one of the best games ever produced.… Expand

    Gran Turismo 4 is a gaming masterpiece for all to enjoy without a doubt it is one of the best games on ps2 and one of the best games in the Gran Turismo series if you love racing games I highly recommend this game. With its wide variety of cars and tracks it can last you an eternity without getting bored shout out to DustinEden btw

    This game has aged like fine wine. There are so many ways to play and replay this for years and years. It truly never gets old for me.

    This game can look almost current gen thanks to the capabilities of modern emulators like PCSX2, which basically makes Gran Turismo 7 pointless.

    An absolute must-play if you enjoy realistic racing games.

    The peak of gran turismo.

    Incredible car and track selection. Very content heavy, with lots of different classes of racing, from one-make races, endurance races, championships with high performance race cars, rally races, etc.
    And driving physics that at the time of the game's release, were the best among console games.

    Truly one of the greatest racing games ever made. I love that you can go through the game in many different ways, which makes it great for re-playing. The amount of content is also staggering. Not to mention the graphics still hold up when playing in HD. Really shows what the PS2 is capable of. My only real gripe with the game is that the controls aren't as smooth as Gran Turismo 3, as inTruly one of the greatest racing games ever made.     Racing games today can't even capture a fraction of the experience that GT4 offered over 12 years ago. Whenever a racing game comes out I always find myself comparing it to GT4. This is the gold standard that developers should be striving to recreate.

You would expect that they would stop innovating and rest on their laurels (spoiler alert, they are doing that these days) but not only did they improve from grand turismo 3, they added almost 700 plus cars, better upgrades and the freedom to start with a different car with each playthrough.     Music remixes are still here & great. While licensed music has more variety of genres and artists.

    The driving model is more higher level skill. The variety of FF, FR, MR, 4WD & RR are still different enough & quirks that cars are known for are present. Many tracks do look like their real life counterparts now. While some new ones have been added alongside some less appealing too many cars for advertising big number counts when its too many versions of a Madza MX5, Honda Civic or others. Too many trims included.

    No car classes or Gear Score/PP/PI system, no level system (didn't till GT5 & further focus, even stricter in GT7. Only Corvette/Alfa Romeo Racing Italiano/Racing Lagoon as RPG focused for the time.

    Licenses tests offer 80 tests (16 per 5), 3 1 lap trials each (15 total), then 8-10 per of GT1-3. There is variety but some are filler (repeats). GT4P save import offers bronze tests & 100K.

    Coffee Breaks are fun little side challenges. No 1L Fuel left of GT6 yet but many cone focused (cone maze/spiral) or marked Gymkhana course layouts.

    Driving Missions are introduced. Many of these are more so overtake missions such as slipstreaming, 1 Lap Magic aka time limit back of the pack and overtake all opponents (Sprint in FM6&7), 3 lap overtaking with opponents scattered around the track & overtaking just 1 or 2 opponents of a similar car range. 1 lap magic times can get long to wait for so be careful about how to beat them. Some around 30 seconds others 100.

    You did have R Racing (story/challenges)/MotoGP time trial, checkpoints, overtaking challenges to get concept art and bikes, or MotoGP3 20 custom tracks never seen again or TOCA story mode/motorsport variety but GT4 offers it's style of content offerings.

    Like those listed above to the GT2 approach of:
    -one make events (no randomiser this time so no filtering Super Speedway anymore XD),
    -Endurance from 1 to 24hrs (3 24hr events) (no dynamic day/night) or 100 lap counts,
    -Drag Race (1 Las Vegas Strip so not as many as Sega GT on Dreamcast or FM3),
    -photo scapes to position cars in photo mode,
    -speed tests or races (5 credits and a custom race based on the car you selected),
    -3 difficulties and many rally events
    -B spec mode useful for tracks you don't like or endurance events which does cut out after going to the pits so you have to reset it again. You can x3 speed which isn't present in GT5&6 B spec sadly but GT6's player control option with R1 and accel/brake does put it up a bit then just paces.

    The event variety is good. You have a good mix of drivetrain, supercars/Horse power requirement, car classes (hatch, muscle, trucks and more) old era or modern era, one makes, rally and more are available.

    Tuned cars offer different complete/better parts than makers.

    With some rewards as concept/historical, some not all can be used in main events only in arcade mode/speed tests. But it varies, try out some concepts to find out (message will tell you if you can't use them). So be careful winning concept cars for some events you worked hard to beat. Events can be repeated/sell those cars.

    Car selling prices vary, concepts aren't worth selling anything (unless fan mods).

    The mix of road, wet, dirt & snow for rally is great. Some tracks are tight, so get creative with ways to pass single opponents. Some GT2/3 tracks are removed (some still there like Tahiti Maze/Swiss Alps).

    With some new added like Grand Canyon, Paris, Italian cities (Coast de Amalfi, Cita Di Aria), Tsukuba wet & Cathedral Rocks.

    Used car dealers return, results of car types/region are fair but still awkward. Especially for non-Japanese cars you can find some for certain events, but best to go with new cars. For trucks go for new dealers. Besides day 690-700 silhouette cars.

    If you complete Beginner & Professional events you receive the end movie. But Extreme Events are available as a bonus besides the rally, endurance (after 25%), US, EU & JP events.

    The game can easily last 100s of hours, be played many different ways even with the fair event requirements (something many modern games like FM6's linear & side content approach could learn from. But different in structure to a PGR2 that has car class event careers but is allowing many event types/tracks still) events so many are open ended (main or side). With many ways, casual/custom challenges/B spec/roleplay.    … Expand

    When I think of best racing game of all time... this game always pops into my head first and foremost. The graphics of the time were crisp, beautiful and outstanding. I had a little revisit which isn't always the best idea. Rose tinted glasses of your love and nostalgia can mist the reality of a games quality, however... this game still holds up to the love I had. The car list isn't just diverse, but a list that introduced a huge selection of cars to the world. The cars that we all desire and dream of.. creating the JDM fans as we know them today. The used car store was a stroke of genius, the career was excellent! The prizes for each championship were great, giving you cars you can use for other championships. Not just that but a lot come in unique colours you couldn't choose in arcade mode. The track list, insane! The made tracks, real tracks, different terrain... this game to me, has never been surpassed in how much you can get from one game. This isn't just about the game, it is about the nostalgia of 2004- onwards playing this game until I was told to come off or until my eyes hurt. I could get another PS2 and play this for weeks.     Gran Turismo 4 is by far the best Gran Turismo game in the series, along side Gran Turismo 3, Gran Turismo 5, and Gran Turismo 6.
    I do enjoy them a lot, even GT Sport is a good game (minus the Online Only part).
    Don't get me started with Gran Turismo 7 though.

    10/10 for Gran Turismo 4, best racing game of the PS2 era (along side some others too).

    DO NOT read the negative reviews of this game. Most of not all of them were made before this game came out. This game was truly ahead of it's time. Incredible graphics, a deep car roster, races ranging from easy to challenging and the best gameplay for a racing game ever. There's no racing game before or after this that's better. Truly the GOAT

    Gran Turismo 4 was a lot of fun back in 2005 with lots of cars, fun challenges and improved driving dynamics.
    It is now having a second life thanks to emulators and mods. It is certainly behind modern simulators when it comes to physics, ai or engine sounds, but the core GT mode experience is still something that    Gran Turismo 4 is the last great entry in the series before the downfall.

    Apart from more new cars being available, this is a step back in every respect rom gran Turismo 3. The courses are narrower, pointlessly winding, there is more sand, you can't turn off tire wear, more features are locked, there are no cheat codes...I give this an F. The people making this game are clueless. Remove the sand please.

    Looking at GT4, this is a huge improvement to its predecessor, better graphics, colours, car list and track list.

    This GT game is honestly one of the best, if not the best out of the whole series, considering where Polyphony is with GT7. Not only is it more accessible to everyone due to emulation, the game can look and run better with modern GPUs and CPUs. Not to mention the modding    Looking at GT4, this is a huge improvement to its predecessor, better graphics, colours, car list and track list.

Not to mention the modding scene that could potentially boost the graphical fidelity of the game.

    Gameplay wise is similar to GT3 but in its own way also very different. You now have different countries that deal with different cars, and a dealership that only offers Tuned cars, which you are able to buy parts from as well. The events are also separated by country, which adds to this feature.

    The track list is also tremendously improved with the addition of more real life tracks, most notably the full Nurburgring Nordcheliefe and Circuit De La Sarthe. Paring the inclusion of new tracks with the new graphics is something to behold at the time of release.

    The pinnacle of ps2 racing games, making justice to one of the most important racing games of all time. More than 600 cars, dozens of tracks, real and fantasy ones, followed by a campaign that only a GT game can offer, but this time, the longest that could ever be.     Although it lacks many features that modern gamers would expect - everything that it does have is done PERFECTLY. There's a darn good reason why it is an icon of racing games.

    While I don't want every game to be homogenous, there is certainly a lot that should be emulated from this game. So if you are making a racing game - take notes from Gran Turismo 4.

    I came here beacuse of DustinEden but ill leave a more serious review. The game is legendary, 10/10 gameplay, very fun but at the same time very challenging. Farming gets a bit annoying but worth it. The game gives you a real feeling of winning. WARNING there are 99% chances you will develop a strong love/hate relationship with the game too

    Whilst i haven't played any of the other Gran Turismo games, this one was my first racing game. I remember playing it as a kid and enjoying it, even though i only got half way through the B-licence. But finally going back and playing it, i realise what a masterpiece this game truly is. The wide range of cars available are impressive for a single disc game, and it's not limited to high powered race cars or high performance road cars or even supercars. There are god damn wagons you can race, you have the Daihatsu Midget or the many Concept cars available. The single player experience in this game is incredible, and no other racing game since can top this game for single player content, not even the F1 titles and you can develop your own car in that game, it just doesn't have the simplistic charm that this game has. The graphics are amazing, not the best compared to today but it has aged well.

    The soundtrack? Oh yeah the soundtrack. Absolutely amazing! The Custom remix of 'Getting Away with Murder' by Papa Roach is one of my favourite tracks in this game, and this game has 3 soundtracks dependant on region (US, Europe and Japan).

    But God DAMN this game exceeds any other game in this genre, Forza Motorsport gets close but it can't really compare the sheer amount of content in this game.

    If you want to play best racing game in 2023 then this emulated is way to go. Many cars and realistic tracks. There is almost unlimited replay value and car tuning actually works and you can decide how hard you want your racing experience to be. Soundtrack is also best there is.

    Provides the best atmosphere I've ever experienced in a racing game. I'm not even that good and still manage to complete a lot of things. Would recommend it to everyone you have to play it NOW. DustinEden based btw.

    I bought this game at the age of 25 having necer played it, growing up on GT3 and always having a soft spot for the game and its flagship cars to this day. I fully believed GT4 could not top it. I was wrong. So much content, so much racing, timeless. Great but forgiving driving mechanics, possibly the best PS2 racing game in existence.
