    I don't know what to think about this game. I like the tropical atmosphere, the graphics were great for the time, Tidus sucks as a main character (but some other characters make up for it, especially Auron who is badass), plot is confusing. This is a good game but I feel FF7 and FF8 are better.

    Final Fantasy X is my absolute Favorite Final Fantasy game. It was the 1st game with a skilling like no other game had before. The story is rlly amazing and I don't know how many hours I've been playing that game as a kid. Totally the best Final Fantasy game of all time.

    Respecto a su jugabilidad, bajo mi punto de vista es el más interesante de todos los final fantasy ya publicados, ya que presenta un combate por turnos en donde hay más tiempo para pensar y plantear las estrategias.

    Lo que más me fascinó de la historia, fue el hecho de estar contada por el propio protagonista, este personaje, Tidus, utiliza este tipo de relato (primera persona) para reflejar sus sentimientos, emociones y pensamientos frente a cualquier circunstancia, algo que enriquece al desarrollo de la trama.

    creo que si lo comparo con los final fanatsy anteriores, debo hablar de la exploración forzosamente, ya que hay menos exploración y es mas lineal, no digo que sea un pasillo pero si se siente una limitación importante en la exploración, pero para mi esto no era el alma de la saga, si bien era un factor importante en los antiguos, no conozco a nadie que haya jugado final fantasy por su exploración. la gente que ama esta saga habla principalmente de la historia, de la música y del sistema de combate, cosas que final fantasy x tiene fuertemente.
    posee una historia bien construida y con un mensaje muy bien representado, como lo es el adoctrinamiento de la religión y a su vez el abuso de la institución que imparte dicha religión. ademas se habla de lo crédula que puede ser la gente a falsas promesas cuando hay tanto dolor y sufrimiento en un mundo caótico e injusto como los era spira.
    esta mas decir que la música es impecable y diga de un fnal fanatsy. por ello paso al siguiente punto que es el sistema de combate que en mi opinión es entretenido pero siento que no te incentiva a tener una estrategia muy elaborada, siempre es buscar la debilidad del enemigo para luego abusar del punto débil, hay jefes que no son así pero son la minoría, en otros final fantasy lo enemigos no tenían debilidades tan obvias ni mucho menos tan oportunas. no digo que el juego sea fácil pero sacando los eones oscuros y algunos jefes no hay mucho reto la verdad. igual me agrado el echo de poder usar todos los personajes en combate y que cada uno sea único.
    otra cosa que debo hablar es sobre los personajes, sacando a tidus todos los personajes principales han sufrido de alguna manera, han vivido la injusticia del mundo y han perdido seres queridos,de hecho casi todos los personajes del juego son trágicos. se desarrolla bien la motivación del grupo para seguir adelante con el viaje y como el dolor o las adversidades no les va impedir lograr lo que se proponen incluso si tal vez no solucionen el problema de raíz.
    me gusta como los personajes no exageran la miseria del mundo y como muestran momentos felices o se les ve con sueños y esperanzas, lo hace sentir mas creíble la historia y a la vez añade un factor, como el mundo se adapto a sihn y a lo que este provoca.
    no quiero hablar mucho de tidus ya que es un protagonista adecuado pero es plano como personaje y tiene pocos momento en que lo vi ser profundo o carismático. es un tanto infantil e impulsivo pero no llega a ser desagradable, solo es intrascendente cuando lo comparas con otros protagonistas de la saga final fantasy.
    es difícil darle una nota objetiva, pese a sus defectos es uno de mis juegos favoritos de la play 2 pero si soy justo comete muchos errores y algunos graves, duele madurar y darte cuenta que lo que te gusta no es tan bueno si lo miras de forma mas objetiva. si bien no esta a la altura de los mejores de sus saga o genero, es una grata aventura y tal vez la ultima que disfrutare de esta saga ya que tristemente final fantasy o por lo menos el que yo conocí y quise con locura... murió después de este juego.    … Expand

    The game is the best for me among the series. It has a deep story a battle system that is true and tested for years and the soundtrack will just pull some of your heartstrings.

    Lo considero el último gran y excelente Final Fantasy (al menos de la línea principal enumerada), una obra maestra, y el último hito de Square con esta franquicia, con más de 200 horas de juego para conseguir el 100%.

    The game has an amazing soundtrack and a really enjoyable turn-based battle system, which I see as an improvement compared to the previous titles.

    But what truly makes this game is the world, the story and the characters. It's just perfect, the design of the characters are a little bit silly and the main character (Tidus) can be a little annoying sometimes, but otherwise it's excellent! Somehow, the series was able to surpass itself since its last 10/10 title, FFVII.

    To top it off, I find this title to be an excellent first game for people that want to get into the series. Final Fantasy X is truly the Final Fantasy, as it is the last title made by the original cast of the series for Square soft (before it merged to become Square Enix).

    Final Fantasy X is one of the greatest video game of all times. If you have never played it you should. Actually it's a reason to get into gaming if you aren't.

    If you had to play one video game in your life picking Final Fantasy X would be a good choice. The story is amazing, stellar. The soundtrack is an absolute masterpiece.     This is one of the best stories I have ever seen. This game was so ahead of it's time. Everything was done very well and there are few issues I've ever experienced with it.

    If you've never played final fantasy games, this is a great place to start (although not many others live up to this one imo). It's pretty straightforward but also has a lot of hidden things.

    Don't be scqred by the initial silliness of the game. This one is just perfection. Awesome combat, story, characters. SO MUCH to do and see. If you are wondering whether you like JRPGs, play this one.

    Great game with interesting story and characters. The sphere grid allows for a lot of customization to a party members abilities and after some time eventually one party member can make it to another party members portion of the grid and thus gain their abilities. Grinding a lot doesn't necessarily guarantee a win if you don't choose the right actions in your turn, although it helps. I'mGreat game with interesting story and characters.     Love this game so much, its my childhood. Love the characters, they feel so real, especially Auron. Love the music so much, I always listen to it on youtube. Definitely one of the better FF games out there.

I consider this the last Final Fantasy game, as it is the last one that actually had a genuinely great story, characters and music. It's also the last singleFF10 is one the best Final Fantasy games out there. It has a great story, characters and music on par with the previous entries. It's a game that bleeds with emotion and tells a tragic tale that fits the tone of the end of Squaresoft. I consider this the last Final Fantasy game, as it is the last one that actually had a genuinely great story, characters and music. It's also the last single player mainline Final Fantasy game by Squaresoft as well. Coincidence? I think not. I consider FF6-10 to be the Golden Age of FInal Fantasy.

    This game isn't perfect, but its bloody-well brilliant. The only criticisms I can think of that is that its a bit linear as it sacrifices its overworld, however this means it tells a much better story because of it. It also can get a bit complex and convoluted towards the end, but I'd argue aren't most Final Fantasy games like that towards the end, e.g. FF7, FF8 and FF9? Lastly, the main protagonist Tidus gets a bit of hate online. Haters claim he is annoying and irritating and has bad voice acting. Fair enough, he's definitely whiny at the beginning, but by the end of the game his character development is very present, he becomes a complete badass and doesnt whine anymore. Instead of whining to others about their plans and hard truths, in the end it is him who leads the reigns and whom everyone follows. I love Tidus and I think his voice acting is great for the most part and suits him very much. I'd argue that it is the voice direction in the game that is sometimes off. other than that it is fine.

    I think the only the thing I dislike about this game is that fact that you can't skip cutscenes -_- (doesn't help on multiple playthroughs). Other than that it's one of the greatest video games ever created in my opinion and has shaped me to become the person I am today. :)    … Expand

    A beautiful, poetic adventure with attaching characters and a good, solid plot. The side quests aren't all that fascinating but they're still here and they work well. The world is colorful and alive, an amazing job for a game that came out in the early 2000s.
    Plus, it has that legendary laughing scene so it can only be good.

    In the beginning, i thought it was a little boring, and the characters weren't that good. But as the history goes, the characters are developed and the history gets better and better, until it reaches it's climax on that final. It was one of the best endings ever made, and also, it builds a "bridge" between this and the next game. For those who prioritize histories in games, this game is for you!

    Spent thousands of hours playing this. Had a vibe of Pokemon about it - the way you can train up your characters. A huge game that takes ages to complete but stays varied.

    Auron brought the best in this game, the Sphere matches are an great addition if not the only objective to focus on. Final Fantasy 10 is a good example of how this saga thrives and been surviving long. Not bad there with the features in implement to have a nice time of it.

I've loved every Final Fantasy game made before next generation systems came out (13 was terrible IMO) but none of them ever made me fall in love with the characters as perfectly as this one did. I actually cried when Tidus faded away. Imagine that, a little fat kid sitting in his chair on a Friday night crying over pixels. It happened.

    This game didn't invent the premise of RPGs nor did it do anything overly revolutionary with regards to battle sequences or graphics, but the story was simply amazing. I grew to absolutely hate Seymour and my heart broke when Auron's true motive was revealed. The settings were whimsical without being stereotypical and the sphere grid remains my favorite RPG leveling system ever.

    I felt like this game, along with FFX12 and Legend of Dragoon didn't get the praise they deserved from critics because those critics expected the same kinds of things that they currently expect from huge franchises who are stuck between a rock and a hard place. It's impossible to fully revolutionize a successful series without changing something about its successful past and I think that's evident in the lacking grades on here. I think the remaster of this game is bringing it back to life and I'm excited about it.

    FFX remains one of the best games I've ever played and, as far as stories and character development go, may be the best I've ever encountered. I've played hundreds of RPGs from front to back and none of them kept me quite as engaged as FFX did.     Questo gioco merita di essere giocato, sicuramente uno dei migliori nel suo genere... conta con molti personaggi nel party con possibilità di cambiarli in tempo reale durante la battaglia, permettendo così una migliore esperienza nelle battaglie, visto che il party sarà molto più completo per affrontare i determinati tipi di nemici. I personaggi del party sono molto distinti tra loro e leQuesto gioco merita di essere giocato, sicuramente uno dei migliori nel suo genere... conta con molti personaggi nel party con possibilità di cambiarli in tempo reale durante la battaglia, permettendo così una migliore esperienza nelle battaglie, visto che il party sarà molto più completo per affrontare i determinati tipi di nemici.     As most final fantasy games are, this is definitely a shining gem of JRPG games. But I had trouble really getting into the game - blitzball is basically a meme (it controls terribly) and I had so little direction in some of the early game battles and quests that it took me three or four tries before I made it past the opening sequence of this game.

    A masterpiece.
    The combat system is easy to learn but challenging for the whole game. You have a lot of enemies to fight and bosses to defeat.
    The soundtrack is pure Nobue Uematsu. So it's great.

    The story is hearthbreaking.

Unlike previous final fantasy games, final fantasy X let's everybody wait their turn. I like this very much. For example, in final fantasy IX the enemies attack when their bar is full, this means I felt rushed and I couldn't take my time to think about my next move.This is the best JRGP I've ever played. It is unlike any other game that I have ever played and even quite different from other Final Fantasy games. It is like an epic fairy tale with elements that are both literal and allegorical. It isn't a simple story about heroes fighting villains. While Final Fantasy games are often known for having complex villains, the villains are usually still pretty obvious, FFX doesn't have a clear cut antagonist. It is a story that gradually reveals a complex system that is deeply rooted in lore. Sometimes the people who seem like obvious villains are just damaged people who are twisted by circumstance and sometimes well meaning people who are desperate to protect what they love most give rise to a cycle of mass destruction that no weapon can stop. FFX is a story about a lot of things, sin, faith, sacrifice, but most of all I think it is about loss. All of these themes are all dealt with in a meaningful way. I have played through this game a few times and one thing that impresses me is that each time I picked up on something new. Nearly every scene is more than it appears to be on the surface. A lot of the story telling is in the subtext and the environment. FFX isn't perfect but it is one of the best video game experiences of my life and a game that I still think about often even 15 years later.

    While the plot may seem confusing at first almost everything is eventually revealed. I could write several pages about the story of FFX and all of its nuances. Sin is one of the most interesting monsters in fiction, it isn't just a giant beast that destroys without purpose. Everything about sin is rooted in lore. Its origins and purpose are deeply tied to the magic, history, and religion of the world. Religion is one thing that is really well captured in FFX. Yevon is not intrinsically good or evil, it has many good elements but it is also full of corruption. Throughout the story we encounter many examples of people who are faithful to Yevon and for the most part very good people but their blind faith in Yevon has led them to accept certain things about the world as truth without every calling those beliefs into question. There are so many great things that I could say about the story, it does have a few weak points as most big complex stories do but its few short comings are dramatically overshadowed by what it does right.

    The visual design is spectacular, even to this day the cinematics rank among the best in any game. The environments are unfortunately small and confined but they all tell a visual story. There are a few stupid designs, like Seymour's hair and Tidus' clothes but for the most part the designs are top notch. The game still looks pretty good and at the time of it's release it was on another level.

    The sound design is also among the best in the series. The sound track is one of my favorites and it
    is perfectly used within the context of the story. Some of the voice acting isn't the best but as the first FF with voice acting I think it is good, far better than most of that time period.

    I think the combat system is one of the best in the series. Each character is useful, while each enemy has particular strengths and weaknesses that you need to carefully test to figure out. Each character also has unique overdrives. Many of the overdrives look awesome and require skill to take full advantage of making them rewarding. Each spell also has a useful strategic purpose. Enemies can also use spells such as reflect to bounce them leading to unconventional situations. While there aren't quite as many summonings as some of the past FF games there is a decent amount and each one is very unique. The aeons all look awesome and they are useful without being overpowered. Outside of combat the game play is much less impressive, you spend most of your time walking or running along paths with very little interaction.

    The characters in FFX are also excellent but they don't have the obvious appeal as some of the past games in the series. Tidus for example, is totally different from past heroes in the series. He doesn't start out as a great warrior or magic user. He starts out as a bit cocky, a bit shallow, and a bit selfish but that is only on the surface and as the story progresses we learn how he came to be the way he is and we also learn that he does indeed have a lot of good qualities. He is fleshed out both through character growth and through revelations about his past. He is an outsider in a strange world and that is used to great effect. Nearly all of the main characters are well fleshed out and every character has a meaningful roll within the story and gameplay.

    Final Fantasy X was my first Final fantasy game and I still have my original copy from way back (It has outlived four PS2's). It's got a great story (if sometimes a bit cheesy). Compared to the other Final Fantasy games I've played it's quite linear until close to the end where you get access to an airship and can use it to revisit previous areas.     The music is literally awesome, and my favourite Final Fantasy Soundtrack is "To Zanarkand", is really good to hear.

I couldn't believe that I could enjoy another FF as much as I enjoyed FFVII. This is the epic story we've been waiting for. Spira is a vibrant, colorful world, and Nobuo and Masashi (two of my favorite vgm composers) help make the trek that much more grand. However, the characters and the storyline is really what shines brightest in FFX. It's refreshing to have such an imaginative otherworldly final fantasy tale with a plot that still holds together well in spite of pushing the limits of fantasy.     Okay, so as far as RPGs go, Final Fantasy X is near-perfect. What makes it so much more involving than other games I played, aside from the abundance of items and minigames to build your characters with, is the huge Sphere Grid. In this grid, all your different characters have a specific path they can take with skills along the way which are best suited to them.     In my opinion this is the best final fantasy game since FF7. The story of the game is brilliant and just makes you want to play on until you finish it. the graphics of the game are brilliant and the game also shows great character development especially for the 2 main protagonists

    All in all, passable gameplay, good graphics for it's time and an interesting (if silly) premise, but the game does the worst sin an RPG could do by completely destroying any sense of immersion and wonderment almost immediately. It does this with what seems like a minor issue, but what (for me, at least) turned me off this world right off the bat: absolutely atrocious voice acting. For me,All in all, passable gameplay, good graphics for it's time and an interesting (if silly) premise, but the game does the worst sin an RPG could do by completely destroying any sense of immersion and wonderment almost immediately. It does this with what seems like a minor issue, but what (for me, at least) turned me off this world right off the bat: absolutely atrocious voice acting. For me, this very simple act of switching to voice acting but not maintaining quality is totally unforgivable. The main characters of Tidus and Yuna are unfortunately the worst of the bunch, though it doesn't help that every single character is a flat stereotype. No character is likeable, and Tidus I can only describe like every other negative review here: annoying, whiny and douchy.

    The English translation feels very clunky and unnatural. Japanese games seem to have a problem with this, for some odd reason. This is something that has existed in every Final Fantasy game, but not until I actually heard it with my own ears did I realize how bad it was. I can forgive some offences (silly plot and character design, mainly), just because by now it is a more or less an established staple of these games, but breaking my immersion with the voice acting and the bad characters left me with no sense of personal involvement, which was enough for to really turn on the game. Not having relatable or likeable main characters in a game of this genre is unforgivable.

    This combined with the overabundance of cutscenes (unskippable, BTW), uncreative and linear level up system, and the early signs of hallway-itis (brought to it's absolute apex with the perhaps even more horrible FFXIII) make this game that breaking point where the Final Fantasy series seemed to veer off a cliff for me. And I have greatly enjoyed every FF so far, even the divisive VIII.

    FFX has set a dangerous example because since it's release and subsequent success, Square Enix seem to be putting all their focus on world and creature design and cutscene animation, with the actually relevant things (character writing, plot and an explorable game world) becoming nothing more than afterthoughts.     Having just beat this game for the 3rd time I can honestly say this is one of the finest RPG's ever made. It's got a good story that's easy to follow, a good battle system and a really addicting upgrade system that makes you want to keep playing.

    The voice acting can be kind of weird sometimes but honestly it's a small gripe to what is an outstanding game.

    I recently replayed this game on PS3 and I forgot from childhood how amazing this game actually is. I am a huge FF fan and even though this game stood out from previous titles that I really enjoyed, it is a splendid and unique experience that any RPG fan should divulge in at least once.

    So, the combat. It was a fresh re-imagining of the traditional turn based RPG style. It removed a great deal of clutter from the way things work, and replaced them with depth and customization. Battles work just like they would have with ATB (assuming it was set to the Wait Mode) but you don't have to sit and watch bars fill, or try to guess how many turns you'll have before the enemy gets their turn in. I found it relieving, quick paced, and strategic. Which is everything I could ask for in an RPG's battle system.

    Leveling, Personally, I find this to be the single greatest piece, which is saying a great deal. The sphere grid seems overwhelming at first, two dimensional second, but once you get far enough into it to be choosing from branching paths, and then eventually customizing it... I haven't played any RPG with a leveling system I prefer to it. I have spent hundreds of hours, no exaggeration, with this game in the sphere grid, customizing and optimizing. I have filled out the whole sphere grid, and replaced all replaceable spheres. I've played it to death, and still love it dearly.

    The story. My gods, the story. it was wonderful, it was beautiful. You start off with a whiny point of view character, dragged from the lap of comfort and adoration into a world full of death and sorrow. And he grows. He grows well. But despite being the main character, he is not the central character. He tells the story, but in truth, it isn't his own. From the moment he meets her, the entire story revolves around Yuna. Some things take place off screen, to be certain. But she is a strong female lead, faithful and virtuous without compromising on strength. She upturns an entire religion, and the entire world with it. She has help from her guardians. But where any choice is made, it was hers to make, and she made them well.

    The story is littered with melancholy and death. And yet, Yuna smiles. And Yuna dances. A pillar of hope for a dying world. She is a wonderful character, and is supported by a cast that feels both interesting and believable in personality. Of all the FF's stories, and I've played them all numerous times, X's stands at the peak. Assuming we don't count X-2's Addition, which I won't for a thousand varied and spiteful reasons.

    Gameplay aspects: Well, some things suffer here. Blitzball was entertaining for a bit, then quickly became a tedious chore. Walking everywhere prior to the ship can be tiring due to how the map works out, but the way the map works out is actually a plus in my mind. All of the areas were connected by traversible paths. No need for a world map to travel the world, though you got one later with the airship. But the world felt real, and felt whole. Something to be pleased with. Exploration and finding goodies was hit or miss. Honestly, FFIX did it better for little goodies and easter eggs being put everywhere to keep you looking. Collecting ten of every monster for the arena is again an arduous chore. Despite all of this, the payoff is well worth it, and X is more than the sum of its parts.

    Audio: The music in the game is some of the finest in gaming. I once had a chance to ask Nobuo Uematsu one question in person, at a con in Milwaukee, WI during his Distant Worlds tour. I asked him "what would you say was your magnum opus? The finest song you have ever made. What you were born to compose." and after some deliberation he replied "To Zanarkand, though I'd like to think my magnum opus is still ahead of me." (paraphrasing of course. Even if I remembered the exact quote, this was being translated by an intermediary.) The music is the glue that holds the game's story together. It is well composed and touching. There was a song or two I wasn't the biggest fan of, but overall, it was a very pleasing soundtrack.

    Well, I guess that about wraps things up. While X has flaws and isn't perfect in all aspects, the strengths it has more than compensates. Thank you FFX. We had over ten years together, and I enjoyed you thoroughly. The last and greatest piece by Sakaguchi. The truly named Final Fantasy. Having platinumed the whole game and played enough that I know what is in every chest before I open it, it's time we part ways. But I hope others will find and love you as dearly as I did.    … Expand

I made everything in this game because i love the game. That Blitzball minigame i pass so many hours playing. This game is memorable.

This is the game in the series that gets the most negative feedback in the form utterly false statements; yes, it is linear in the beginning, but once you get the airship, you are able to visit all the towns of the world, exploring for new weapons and defeating a plethora of optional bosses, all requiring different strategy and approach. There's hidden temples, hidden bosses, hidden weapons to acquire, a battle arena to conquer, everything. If someone says FFX to be linear in the vein of FFXIII then they are, quite simply, false. The characters are customizable in the sense that one CAN follow different paths in determining the stats of one character, and although in the end every character has maxed out the entire grid, it is by no means even remotely similar to FXIII crystarium nonsense. Similar to earlier entries, FFX also offers hidden Summons to acquire, although only usable by one character. It also features a minigame in the form of blitzball which includes a team recruiting where the player can search the world for better blitzball players. The only downside is that in the end the blitz minigame becomes broken and the player will steamroll every opponent. That's when the player realizes that he has to defeat two seasons of the game for getting Wakka's best weapon, and the task becomes quite tedious.

    All that aside, FFX still has all the content that in my opinion made VII so great; a handful of optional bosses, customizable (to an extent) characters, a nice minigame (idea), hidden dungeons and secret temples. For all that, I'd probably give it 8.5 were it possible. Because it's not, 9/10.    … Expand

    This game remains to this day, pretty much my all-time favourite game. This game has sat at the top of the list now for some 13+ years. It brought me into the world of FF. It also contains my favourite soundtrack of any game; everything about it screams 'enjoyment.' I could write on this for days, but when you tick all the boxes and score a perfect 10 - Well, it's pretty self-explanatory.

I know that every Final Fantasy has different characters and a changed story. This by far the best of them all.     Corridors, the game. Apparently, director Motomu Toriyama went several steps further in Final Fantasy 13 and made that game 1 long corridor (haven't played FFXIII). FFX is a pretty good game, albeit Auron is a better main character than Tidus, & the game is way too linear. Rated 8/10 because I love the Blitzball minigame, it alone is worth the price.

    Having played Final Fantasy 7 first, I wasn't too thrilled with X when starting out. Tidus voice was annoying. He seemed like an idiot. Auron seemed like a badass and then he just kinda of goes away and you are stuck with wakka and lulu. But as every minute goes by, you realize how incredible the story and message is of the game. But for first-timers, it'll blow you away. It is so amazing that you'll definitely shed a tear or two. I won't go into detail due to spoilers but I will say that it's one of the best stories I've seen for an RPG. The characters in FFX are very well-done and realistic. You might even see bits and pieces of yourself in some of them. Yes they're that deep.

    The gameplay in this game is very linear which is one of the flaws I was referring to earlier. Linearity in an RPG tends to turn me off. There are very few side quests and mini-games in FFX which saddened me since the side quests are so easy that anyone can do them. There's only one mini-game in X and that's blitzball. It's really fun and quite addicting! There is also something that you have to do several times in the game and it never fails to give me a headache. The Cloister of Trials. Ugh. Just thinking about it makes my head hurt.

    The fighting system in FFX is turn-based where up to three characters at a time can choose amongst their regular attacks, magic, items and specials to defeat the various enemies in the way. You unlock abilities to use as you level up by advancing characters through a special grid, differing from a standard level up system. However, I found that it's very easy to manipulate and quite predictable. For both you and the enemy. Some battles do have special controls which sorta makes up for it but only slightly. Another flaw is that X has the easiest final boss in gaming history. Are you kidding me? Seriously? But the ending to the game is so sad and tear-jerking that it makes it forgiveable.

    As for music, X is as good as it gets. The tracks in the game are very somber and easily match the game perfectly. You might even shed a tear or two. After beating the game, there's virtually nothing to do afterwards. The least the developers could've done is offer a New Game Plus. So X might be one of those RPGs that you'll only play once then let it collect dust on your shelf. Which I find to be very sad since it's quite good.

    So if you're looking for a one-time fling, Final Fantasy X is the RPG for you. If you're looking for a long-time relationship, you might want to look elsewhere.    … Expand

    Estilo de jogo: Qualquer um que jogue FF, sabe que o estilo de jogo é praticamente por turno, entao isso excluí qualuqer comentário de haters que procura um hack'n Slash ou qualquer outro tipo de ação, pois o FF foca em história e musica. The style and the bright vivid color of the environments are wonderful to look at, and the FMV sequences are stunning. The turn-based gameplay won't surprise anyone, but the ability to switch out party members and some neat overdrives keep the gameplay from becoming stale for 50+ hours. The upgrade system called the sphere grid is, for the most part, a unique and interesting way to level up your character even if it is somewhat clunky.     FF 10's biggest flaw would have to be it's linearity. Most of the game is very linear and leave little room to explore. Don't get me wrong, the environments are beautiful and the creature battles varied and engaging. The game does open up completely, but only right at    I have to say I didn't mind this FF.     The story is can be really moving at times and you can not help but fall in love with Yuna. Tidus is a tool, but a lovable tool and it is great to see their relationship develop and grow.

    Blitzball is a simple little side game. but damn is it fun. The better you get the more you want to play. I'm a bit surprised that Square never a spin-off title around this.

    Overall:
    Final Fantasy X is a really good addition to the FF series and has done a good job bringing the FF franchise into the 21st century. While I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous titles, I still liked it none the less.    … Expand

    Oh my God, where to start! The blitzball, the sphere grid, the characters, the story, even the ending is something M. Night Shyamalan will NEVER be able to pull off. Final Fantasy X was my first and it will be my last. Definitely worthy to be called the Final Fantasy VII of the next generation.

    I loved this game, probably played through it 3 times, even though we had to take the disc back 3 times because it had been resurfaced badly that had no effect on how great I think this game is. I loved the story, the twists, and how emotional they made the ending. The characters felt real, and the role of the pseudo religion in the game was awesome.     Um, this is the pinnacle of FF games for me. Everything about it is just good. Was well beyond it's day when released. My brothers and I have played through multiple times. It just never gets boring. Auron is by far my favorite FF character. Story is amazing, I still remember feeling dazed and beyond impressed at the end. Kinda like after just finishing an epic book series like Wheel of Time.

    The final fantasy series took a downward plunge after the SNES titles n my opinion, but this one really did not appeal to me, the story was slow paced, and the level up system was just not to my liking, I prefer to know what level I am and base my choices of combat on that, not on how many pieces of a grid I have.

One of the metacritic reviewers wrote this game has low replay value; I finished the game atleast ten times and will play it again soon. This game has a great story, plenty of things to do besides the main story, and, for its time, great graphics.
    One of the greatest RPG's made in my opinion.

    - The battle system is very much vintage Final Fantasy. It is fairly similar to that of previous games in the series. It is turn based.

    Graphics: 8/10

    I played this game back in 2003. While the game certainly looks nice, it's definately not 10/10 worthy in this department. The major drawback in terms of graphics is the stiff animations and sometimes awkward facial expressions. Much of this is me subconsiously comparing FFX to that of MGS2, which did far better in this department (in a similar time period). Other than this, the game looks great, plenty of detail, worlds full of life with vibrant colours.

    Gameplay: 9/10

    Vintage Final Fantasy. There's not really anything new here. The greatest thing about this game is not the battles themselves, but the ability to build your characters to ungoldy levels. After you finish FFX, you could quite easily spend another 60 hours just finishing post-game content. This includes finding ultimate weapons, fighting various post-game bosses (who are incredibly strong), crafting godly equiptment, maxxing out the sphere grid in ways you never thought were possible ect ect. This is a game where it's entirely possible to max every stat to 255 for every character (and still get your ass kicked by the strongest boss in the game). The game also features several minigames, including blitzball tournaments (underwater football). Most people who actually get into this minigame, find out just how fun and engaging it is. It's almost like another game within FFX.

    Story 10/10

    This is a JRPG. Expect a long melodramatic story. Expect interesting characters that you really care about by the end of the game. Expect plot twists. Expect shocks. I have completed this game over 5 times just to see the story again. It's that good. Yes the voice acting can be a tad cheesy at times (mainly due to the accompanying facial expressions which sometimes look a little comedic), but most of the time it is spot on. People are quick to judge Tidus' personality, because he's not like Cloud of Squall. This is not 7/8. The characters are varied and all bring something to the table. The voice acting is, for the most part, top notch. The people telling you otherwise generally just lack the intelligence to see the comedic value behind certain scenes (the laughing scene was purposely cheesy. That was the point).

    Voice acting 9/10

    Sometimes it isn't perfect, but it is most of the time. No one sounds the same, voices perfectly match appearances. Yuna sounds like an angel, Auron sounds like a boss.

    Sound 10/10

    I don't really pay all that much attention to background music in games, but what I do hear sounds perfect. After you play this game, you'll be hearing the Hymn of the Faith for years.

    Replayability 10/10

    As I said, I have finished this game 5 times.

    This game is one of the best in the FF franchise (and my personal favourite). The only people telling you this game is horrible, are those that either lack the attention span to play games like this, or can't seem to entertain the fact that FFVII isn't the only FF game.     The story is good, despite beeing sometimes corny and having the baddest scene in history of rpg with the laughing scene. I also like the battle system very much and the music is pretty good to. Graphics are also nice its just way to linear, letting you only go forward. Nevertheless pretty good RPG.

    Great RPG and certainly the best one on the PS2 currently, however, I feel it isn't as great as past FF's have been due to its lack of freedom.
