Official U.S. Playstation MagazineOut of nowhere, BloodRayne 2 ranks among PS2's best hack-n-slash titles. [Dec 2004, p.124]
-
It’s not groundbreaking, but the intense action and decent mission structure will allow you to shut your brain off and have a great time.
-
My one bit of constructive criticism is to suggest that the developer have the team that worked on the CG stuff do all the movies for the next game while they concentrate fully on making Rayne’s next adventure even more of a kick ass gaming experience.
-
A very solid action game. The game’s gameplay is good enough and it is just oozing with production value.
-
It’s not too hard, and it’s not too boring which equates to a fairly good game. But because of the nature of its design it also isn’t very replayable as there is little to no reason to go back and do it all again.
-
Thanks to how the harpoon has been integrated into the extensive environmental interaction, and the superior visuals, and more varied gameplay, BloodRayne 2 stands above the original.
-
One of the few things that can be said about BloodRayne 2 is that it’s a nice looking title. The character model for Rayne looks extremely detailed, as do the character models for some of the main enemies.
-
Game InformerWhile this sequel does succeed in proving Rayne is more than a pretty face, a few more tweaks are needed before her playtime prowess matches her dark mystique. [Nov 2004, p.147]
-
A decent action game with a lot of nifty gameplay twists thrown in for good measure. While we wish BloodRayne moved a bit better than she does, no one can argue that she brings a sexy darkness to an action game (ahem) dripping with personality.
-
PSM MagazineA total guilty pleasure, but a pleasure nonetheless. [Holiday 2004, p.94]
-
Isn’t a great game, but it’s a lot of fun. Look at it as the popcorn movie of the game world, it’s really pretty, but only skin (or polygon?) deep.
-
Play MagazineWhile playing B2 on PS2 makes you appreciate the Xbox version all the more, by PS2 standards, TR has done a great job of cramming it into the PS2 shell. [Dec 2004, p.81]

Jun 16, 2022Until it is fun, it has cool physics and the scenery is destructive but full of bugs almost all the time. This game is also ridiculously hard
