While still partly a money-making machine for its MyFaction multiplayer, WWE 2K22 is back in style with a beautiful game that's clunky at times but shines with a huge amount of personality. The co-op with friends is incredibly fun and the customization within the game itself blows our imaginations to unimaginable levels. Welcome to your childhood.

We can't help but admit that 2K managed to create perhaps the most complete title of the series. Despite any hiccups, WWE 2K22 entertains enough to be recommended to people with little involvement with the genre or even an interest in sports martial arts.

WWE 2K22 is a beacon on the road: the sports simulation of wrestling returns with that essence that allows us big kids to go out and play again, with flaws to correct, but with a goal that can return the illusion to the fans of the saga.

If it hasn't drastically changed its gameplay, WWE 2K22 is almost a reboot in its visual rendering and with the incorporation of the My MG mode. The latter is a good surprise, leads us to manage a stable of stars and a schedule of shows without being too complex, a successful bet. Technically, the latest generation of consoles holds its own and avoids the pitfall of WWE 2K20's many bugs, even if some loading times are long. In short, if this last opus could have been deeper in terms of staging, it delights in its lifespan thanks to an XXL roster, realistic in the animations without being polluted by the less vital virtual currency than in NBA 2K. A spectacular and versatile title, like the cover star Rey Mysterio.

WWE 2K22 does have some notable problems, such as modes that feel lacking or tacked on. Thankfully, it manages to excel in other departments, including visuals, controls, and performance. Although its predecessors set a very low bar, WWE 2K22 still cleared it and exceeded expectations.

I'm not enjoying it that much.
Reversals don't work in the vast majority of cases (Y for short) and there is no option to set a limit.

Rolling and blocking moves, to me, is a big no.
There is no more fatigue, health recharges (I can't find the reason).
When you go to do the special/final moves after the third time, maybe, work.
Combos are made easier(like they were hard in the old games) but now they are more awkward.
Stiff gameplay and really uncomfortable and 'ugly'.
GM mode is a mockery, pre-set and without the possibility of real decisions.
    Online not found lol.

While the game was fun, there's bugs that can crash the game or worse, make 2K20 like child's play. Can't download too many created superstarsWhile the game was fun, there's bugs that can crash the game or worse, make 2K20 like child's play. Can't download too many created superstars or you'll softlock, or crash the game when using them, movement is broken like 2K20, and control scheme couldn't switch to Playstation controls, if you use a Playstation controller...yes, I tried switching to DS4 to no avail. I have to rely that my PS4 controller is an XBox controller. I get they took two years to try and freshen this up, but it lost my interest when I see bugs that echo 2K20 or worse. 2K19 was the peak 2K game they had before Yuke's left, and it just went downhill from there. Once again, 2K made an incomplete game...I hope WWE ends the contract and finds a better developer, cause this 2K22 isn't a step forward if VC makes several steps back. Full Review »
