Sep 5, 2016Re-touched 2D graphics, new exciting and hilarious weapons, buildings, crafting and vehicles. Worms W.M.D. is the Worms we've always wished for ever since we played the games of old. This time, Team17 nailed it and we hope they won't settle on the success and continue to deliver exciting new content to enrich the Worm-pocalypse.

Aug 23, 2016The variety of weapons and weapon variations automatically make this a worms to add to your collection, especially if you haven’t visited the Annelid’s for some time, this is a great game to get back into their world… it is both familiar and new all in the one lovely funny and destructive package.

Pelit (Finland)Nov 9, 2016Worms W.M.D is, well, Worms at it's best: a fun, turn-based tactical combat game for up to six players. The new additions, like vehicles and building interiors, work. Crafting is meaningless, though. [Oct 2016]

Sep 19, 2016Worms returns with its load of humor and strategy, in a chapter that will please both the traditionalists and the newcomers. The classic 2D formula is still fun, but we have the introduction of new features (crafting , vehicles and buildings) that renew the original gameplay of the series.
-
Sep 15, 2016W.M.D. is easily the best game in the Worms series in several years. It stays true to the 2D, animated roots of the ’90s games while adding enough new features to keep it feeling fresh and relevant. The relatively simple gameplay is overflowing with finesse and strategy, the presentation is fantastic, and offline or on, Worms is just incredibly fun.
-
Sep 13, 2016Worm massacre is back in all its glory and bringing with them not only tanks and tons of fun, but also hours of entertainment, which is accomplished primarily by the multiplayer part. Worms W.M.D. don't offer revolutionary gameplay mechanics and breathtaking graphics. None of this, however, is needed for the royal entertainment.
-
Sep 9, 2016What we can say. Legends are back.
-
Sep 7, 2016Worms W.M.D. is a triumph. Sure, we could tie ourselves in knots asking why they didn’t come out with something like this sooner, but what would be the point? For now, let’s just bask in its wormly glory.
-
Aug 29, 2016Worms W.M.D. is a return to the classic recipe and it never tasted so sweet, but you can’t help but feel as though it wouldn’t be as effective had the series not been messed around with as much as it has.
-
Aug 25, 2016While it does feel like the series hit its plateau a while back, Worms W.M.D is a welcome addition to the series, being beautifully crafted and as fun as ever.
-
Aug 23, 2016Gone are half-baked water physics and worm classes, replaced by more creative and complimentary features like vehicles, crafting, and building interiors.
-
Aug 22, 2016Team 17’s famous worms are back again with one of their best action and strategy installments. This 2D game features many improvements and a nostalgic touch that will be liked by most players.
-
Aug 22, 2016Featuring enough new stuff to bring back longtime fans, Worms W.M.D is another great entry in the 20 year old franchise. The game doesn't reinvent the formula that has worked so well, but it does refine it in a number of important ways. With new weapons, vehicles, and visuals, Worms W.M.D should please anyone looking for an old school turn-based strategy game.
-
Aug 22, 2016Worms W.M.D as a whole is a lot of fun, it’s the best 2D Worms title we’ve had in a long time and it reminds me why these games are so enjoyable to play. If you are looking for a multiplayer game to play with family and friends on the couch or for a game night over the internet you could do a lot worse than get a bout of Worms!
-
Sep 3, 2016Although you’ll find just a few fresh touches within the proven formula, they lead to a few interesting new tactics to take your opponents’ worms down. You want Worms? You’ll get Worms!
-
Aug 22, 2016Faithful to the Worms tradition, the new Team 17 title, with its bizarre new weapons and vehicles, manages to be a fun experience even if the crafting mechanics aren't the most user friendly out there.
-
Sep 1, 2016The most obvious and most visible addition is that of fixed stationary guns, sentry guns, tanks, helicopters, mechs and rocket league race cars on the map.

Oct 14, 2016I’ve spent a considerable amount of time playing the Worms-games in my youth. Simply because they were some of the most enjoyable multiplayer-games out there. Now, after a couple of years without touching any installment of this franchise, I still think that Worms is a diverting experience, especially if you play it with some of your buddies. It didn’t really bother me that - mechanics-wise - not much has changed since my time with Worms. Being able to just jump back in there, without having to get reintroduced to the whole franchise, actually made me feel glad. But at the same time, this fact might pose a huge flaw for people, who’ve played many or maybe even every other Worms-game. So I can only unconditionally recommend Worms W.M.D to newcomers or veterans, who are returning to the franchise after taking a longer break from it.
-
Aug 25, 2016Worms W.M.D is a fun game with tons of content for Worm fans.
-
Aug 24, 2016Worms WMD is a fun game to play with friends. The new vehicles and weapon building mechanics are enough to make the game feel fresh. It doesn't really bring enough to the table if it comes to renewal of the franchise though.
-
Aug 22, 2016There’s no reason any new player to the Worms franchise wouldn’t get a quick kick out of this one, but it’s difficult to recommend the game to series veterans who can get a cleaner experience from the entries they currently own.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Nov 7, 2016A return to the old days of 2D jumping and shooting is flawed with a slow AI. But as a nice arcade relaxing game for a bunch of friends it serves well. [Issue#267]
-
Nov 7, 2016But the worst innovation is weapon crafting. Right in the middle of a match. "But it's not going to work!", you'll say. You are absolutely right.

Aug 30, 2016While Worms W.M.D. might evoke the halcyon days of Armageddon, it’s more than capable of standing on its own as another high point for the series.
