Wintermoor Tactics Club is a nice tactical title with some charming characters, minimistic visual style and an average plot. If you're new to the genre, chances are you will have a great time. But everyone else, especially hardcore X-COM fans, would probably find Wintermoor a bit to easy for its own good.

Wintermoor Tactics Club is a lovely bit of escapism. Those looking for challenging strategy should look elsewhere, and its presentation lets it down in places, but this school-life D&D adventure has its heart in the right place.

The character art is wonderful and the mechanics of the game are solid, however the Dungeon Master-like world building was my personal favorite. Building a campaign to help your friends overcome their hangups while your "purest" D&D companion poke holes in your narrative was both fun and very relatable. Full Review »
