**** direct aim targeting **** How nice **** yeah!
First. I do not like MMO(RPGs) normally. I normally do not like to level my character, normally i do not like special abilities, normally i do not like to grind. But WILDSTAR just know how to do the things right. How to make it in a way its ****ing enjoyable.

    Positive:

    – Aurin and Chua lore
    – Female Aurin's animations and Chua animations
    – Mordesh artdesign is badass
    – combat system is outstanding. there is no better combat system in any other MMO, MMORPG or RPG out there.
especially the spellslinger plays like a SHOOTER, you have to aim. You can miss, enemies can miss, you can dodge, enemies can dodge… run and shoot, jump and shoot, slow, interupt, root, position shift, forward jump stun, void slip AND shoot!. You have less abilities than in other MMOs that **** you full with abilities. But wildstar does not need 100 abilities each class. You have your rotations, you have the freedom to try everything and its so fun to do so.
    – instances. Especially the dungeons and even more especially the expeditions are super great and fun.
    – free-to-play-model is very fair. Every other game is not that fair. I was very surprised
    – housing and holo wardrobe is nice and i think housing is the best housing of all mmos

    neutral:
    – maybe they have overdone it with class set runes and some AMPs. sometimes less is more

    negative:
    – developer has not much budget, so its lacking content after some months (if you don't count raids, that will take longer to clear, much longer - difficulty is another POSITIVE example, its always fair but hard to master)

    other:
    – developer has to wake up FINALLY and advertise the game more. do it now!

If you want some gameplay impression from solo instances (expeditions) you can search for 'tulinfram solo gold run wildstar'. Forget tulinfram if you don't want to watch my own videos but videos from others.

This is probably the best MMO I've played in... ever. The devs set out to create a game that did not adhere to the tired MMO fantasy worlds and boring stories - and they delivered.

The only problem with this game is the low population. But, of course, there's an easy solution to that - play this game!

Easily the best MMORPG on the market. I would definitely recommend Wildstar to beginners in the genre, and it has severe challenges in the endgame too. But it does a good job of varying the quests as you get into the game. and is overall a lot of fun. It does have some problems, of various categories. But overall the game is solid and polished.
Some of the weaknesses, in my opinion, become more of an issue later in the game. But since the game is now F2P this is a good opportunity to get into it if you haven't before.

+ Graphics. Manages to create its own style, which is a jolly, wild west in space vs sci-fi theocracy meets high tech artificial intelligence.
+ Sound. Appropriately western vs sci fi theocracy meets high tech artificial intelligence, uh, -y.
+ Crafting. Interesting take on tradeskills, with a lot of scope for experimentation.

+- Combat. More skill-based than most other MMORPGs, although it is also twitchy and a bit annoying. The game uses a system of telegraphs, which looks great, but which I am unsure of whether is the game's greatest strength or weakness. It might be both. Anyway, the telegraph system is fun in small scale action but quickly gets overwhelming. In a raid you will at worst feel like a failure; at best like you're taking part in some weird, digital formation dancing. When you combine this with the dash mechanic (double tap in either direction to dive out of the way of AOE) and occasionally interactive things like holding a key to break stuns etc, it can be a daunting task to get anywhere in WS. Some of us sucked at dancing at school, and apparently still suck at it.
+- Questing. Lots of creativity has gone into the questing in Wildstar. Although again, you wonder sometimes if the quest system is a weakness in the end. It floods you with activities so that you often end up barging through a zone barely able to pay attention to the quests, wildly hitting your coms to get new ones in the middle of doing challenges, holdouts and who knows what else. At the end of such an excursion you will often have challenges failed or in need of improvement, simply because you got them while trying to do three other quests. There is such a hectic pace that it will be a rare player who actually gets to read any of the quest text.

    - General clutter. The game floods you with, well, everything. You have six billion vendors, quest givers, mounts, crafting stations and on and on endlessly. It is impossible to walk two steps without something happening. Combine that with interface clutter because of all the things you can do and starting a WS account becomes an exhausting experience. It's basically inevitable in a way; what took ten + years to develop in WoW was all supposed to just be in Wildstar from the start. And the end result is just...clutter.
In fact, some of the things I dislike the most about WS it has inherited from WoW directly. Most annoying of these things is the Looking for Group function. Although handy if you just want to get a quest done, it predictably has a rather dramatic impact on the community. I played the game for three months on launch and have played it again for a week now. And in all that time I don't think anyone has talked to me even once. You just don't have to because of the LFG. Click button, wait, do dungeon, leave dungeon. All the socialization has been taken out of not only Wildstar, but MMORPGs in general, because of this. It is basically a single player game for a very, very long time. You occasionally play that single player game next to other people, but it's still a single player experience.
All the work of getting a group together to do something gets done by the game, which is great. But as it turns out that was what made these games social.
And this function is responsible for one more problem. Because the LFG teleports you to the instance the moment your team is assembled, and right back to the same place afterwards, I honestly don't even know where any of the instances are in WS. It is all just automated. And as a result the world itself feels pointless. There is no traveling anyway, which is a good thing because of the very annoying taxi driver. You just pick a spot on the map and there you are! But as a result not even the old MMORPG ritual of going to the dungeon and entering a portal is necessary.

All my reasons for downgrading Wildstar come from this stuff. It is a good game, and I realize that it's a good game. But it robs me of the social aspect of an MMORPG by organizing everything for me. And in the end it is hard to love a game when it does that. I know how much fun self-organizing MMORPG activities can be. All the personalities you meet along the way, all the joy and all the tantrums. And I do not understand why every game in the genre has to include bad ideas, simply because WoW thought of them first. The LFG is the mother of bad ideas. At least so far as MMORPGs go.

I also only even consider writing reviews for truly exceptional games, especially ones that I don't believe get the credit they deserve.

I'll also point out that I have a lot of experience in MMOS, or I should say experience trying out MMOs. The only MMO I've actually enjoyed for more than the first few hours (until I played Wildstar) was WoW. I easily have over 300 hours of gamplay in WoW, though my interest is finally almost depleted. Having enjoyed WoW so much I've tried multitudes of other MMOs. I've tried Tera, Rift, Aion, Guild wars 1 and 2, Vindictus, LotR Online Neverwinter, SWTOR, Skyforge, FFXIV, Eve Online, Blade And Soul, Star Trek Online, and I'm sure several others that I can't think of. And most of these I quit before playing more than 10-15 hours so I'm not even qualified to review most of them. I'm sure most of them are really good games but they just didn't hold my interest, even though I always wanted to and expected to love each one of them prior to playing. Maybe the end game content is great and I just never got there, but if the game can't hold my interest past level 10 than I'm obviously not going to play it.

So what's my point with all of this? My point is that out of all of these MMOs, Wildstar is the only other game besides WoW that I've continued to play for many many hours and I think anyone who has enjoyed an MMO should give it a try. It has amazingly fun combat, the character creation and character models are awesome, it has fantastic end game and raid content. I could go on and on but other reviews have already gotten into the specifics of the game so check those out if you want more specifics on the actual gameplay.

I am super picky when it comes to MMOs, I'll try any (and have tried a lot) but if I don't love it I won't play it, and I love Wildstar and I think it deserve more attention. Please give the game a try and see for yourself!!

The best and most polished MMO there on the market. It really takes it to the next level, combining all the utility and fun of them all. While it takes time to get used to some of the new interface design, after that it offers tons of emotions and playability.
The only drawback i've really found was the price of the game.

Between the questing, path system, home decorating, raids, shiphands, adventures- there's so much to do in Wildstar. It literally is like they took bits and pieces I loved from other MMO's and crammed them into one package, and I'm so thankful for that. Add Pixar quality graphics to the mix, and you have a game with both form and function.

Innovative? No, I don't really think any MMO is. The combat is a blast, but it's far from innovative. But that doesn't stop Wildstar from breathing a fresh breath of life into the genre.

Best MMO out at the moment. Captures the fun cartoony energy of WoW with the twitch-style play that those who love action will enjoy. The telegraphing system (similar to Secret World) is a fun concept that works really well. Character creation was a blast as well, offering plenty of ways to physically and statistically make a unique character.

The map needs great improvement, compared to ffxiv, the map is not pleasant to use. Examples of this is when you are trying to find a friend on the field or just navigating the map.
The other major flaw I felt was the targeting system, it was crippled. The targeting markers could barely be seen on the ground, this is not good for highely technical battles or raids, I need better visible info.
Marking a friend with a symbol above their head was a huge annoyance as it blocks the most important part of your screen in an MMORPG, the middle.
Other than these annoyances, I would gladly pay triple A title monthly prices for this game. For me though, these annoyances need to go.

To respond to negative reviews those who have technical issues about not being able to log on and play what they paid for I can understand. Everyone else who says that this generic, and doesn't have anything new; they are flat out wrong. Two new things are the Path system, and dynamic telegraph combat system. The four Paths which gives you extra content based on your choice of building & giving buffs, exploring every nook and crany, learning secret lore, or straight up killing. The dynamic telegraph combat system causes you to put your enemy inside your telegraph while staying out of theirs. Of course it starts out easy, but then ramps up to high damage variable telegraphs to keep you on your toes. PvP can be tricky with so many telegraphs flying around. And for those that like it the dungeons and raids bosses have harder telegraphs and stun resistance so the whole party has to stun at once. For those things that have been done before, Carbine has polished them up and added style. Housing, mounts (hoverboards), quests, every race has a style of talking, and mining (I have mined a mineral node that turned into a mineral worm and tried to eat me, I then killed it, went inside its belly and mined some more) are all well executed. Wildstar actually has something for everybody.
The only downsides would be I have been dropped 4 times in 2 months (not that bad for a just released MMO), and the quest que on the screen can get a bit unwieldy since there are so many quests and the numbering system changes based on how close you are (of course you can always drop a quest from the que when you want to).

I was curious and haven't played an MMORPG lately. But wow... I love the combat system. Being a warrior feels more powerful here than other mmos. The battle system gives a nice feeling. I always play tank and here... i feel good at offense at tanking at the same time. I like paths as well for this makes me focus on what I want to do with my character.

PS. The humor is good. Nicely done.

I have played the game for 12 hours of game time and love it. It's fun and challenging.
The dungeon took my group 68 minutes with 4 wipes and in the end a score board pops up on your screen, looking at the result it felt amazing, our time sucked, bronze but that just means that I have to step up my game for the next run.

I have only pvped a couple times but found it to be fun. I love the fact that they are making the players earn raiding and earn your gear by way of bringing attunements back. Sorry if you will not like the game because you have to put skill, teamwork, and effort into it. Only word of caution i give to some people if you are a performance junkie is make sure you CPU runs at the recommended system requirements. AMD optimizations are coming shortly but AMD folks will struggle for now with framerate. Other than that this is by far the most refreshing and best MMO to come out since World of Warcraft. I highly suggest you at least try the game and see for yourself if you are in the market for a new MMO to play. Expand

The only two downsides are the following in my opinion: the quests can be boring at times and the adventures aren't that amazing. End game is fully alive and the game is only a month old. The game launched with end game PvP and PvE and within a month already had another major content drop, with another already being tested on the PTR.

The game is great, it's fun and it's constantly updated. This is the real deal. Try it, try and get to the higher levels and experience as much as you can on just one months time. Chances are you'll want to keep playing.

    Positives:
Artwork is as gorgeous as a Pixar film
    Instances are fun and exciting
    Leveling has been enjoyable
    Housing is AMAZING

    Negatives:
    Not much to the soundtrack
No clue what the story is about
PvP could use more game modes at early levels
    Poorly executed launch

    - I like the story, but you have to read the journals and comic books to learn about the events of planet Nexus.
    - The game has an incredibly deep housing system that is fun to use.
-The developers really listen to complaints and are working hard to fix problems. Look at the various reddit posts to see how Carbine responds to people on reddit to fix problems.
-You can buy your monthly subscription with in game gold.

    Cons:
-A few bugs hinder play (missing a lore journal here and there)
-This game requires you to be social and work with others

You barely even notice hitting 50.

I think that is where a lot of the negative reviews come from. Carbine made it pretty damn clear during development that Wildstar was all about the Endgame, the 'Elder game' as they call it. SWToR had an amazing storyline for levelling but the game died as soon as you hit level cap. Your SPOUSE! The one you choose to marry (if you choose to marry) in your personal story line in SWToR outright REFUSED to talk to you after you finished all the story quest stuff. It felt so dead, so obviously fake. All immersion and desire to play left as you realised you'd done everything there was to do in the game, or at least everything that mattered.

ESO is similar, really strong story line for levelling, same with GW2, and here is the thing, all of these games are a joke compared to WoW even though WoW has the most boring levelling of any game I have ever played which is saying something because that includes Lineage 2. What WoW does have though is Endgame. Lots of it. Endless, endless Endgame.

This is where Wildstar shines, not only does it shine in comparison to every other MMO released in the past 3 years it also outshines the grand daddy of them all. WoW.

It is WoW's endgame that gives it longevity and player retention.

It is Wildstars Elder Game that will give it the same.

My recommendation to everyone out there interested in this game is, be prepared to grind a bit to get to the juicy stuff. Moreover - be prepared to work hard to get into a good guild - this is the most important point, you won't enjoy the Elder Game if you try to solo it - that just isn't the point of an MMO (unless its SWToR or GW2 or ESO - basically all games that should not be MMO's), if you want a solo experience go play Skyrim.

Challenge Modes are fun and usually linked wiht quest objectives, and they give useful rewards, from the housing decor to bags, to gear with your class proficiency.
Few quests are for 2+ or even 3+ players (usually 1-2 x zone), and it's seriously easy to find a partner (or 2) to do those prime (elite) minibosses, because there's always some player around you or close that is happy to hop in your group and help you out.

The combat system involves a lot of highly active play, and like FFXIV combines the good sides of Guild Wars 2 telegraphing / mobility with the 'roles' systems of Everquest / WoW. Where FFXIV was slow paced and predictable in telegraphs to move out of, Wildstar's are all over the place, come in fast, and require a split second choice between dodging and trying to interrupt.

Each of the six classes has two roles to choose from: damage and then either tank or healer.
Unlike most other MMOs, healing here is very much about being fast, mobile, and keeping an eye on the battle - there is no grid of moles to whack. All attacks, buffs, and healing are area based effects that impact anyone inside the area they are cast into.

Two of the three tanking options seem taken directly from player wish lists of past MMOs: The stealthing tank, and the ranged pet tank. The third is your standard heavy armor sword and laser cannon tank.

The visuals are stunningly engaging and highly cartoonish. Even clouds in the sky resemble old Saturday morning cartoon clouds. Even when the game starts to get really serious, the cartoons do it with style and a toss to humor.

The dungeon content is truly challenging, and built with an eye towards players who enjoy them for that challenge rather than as a 'gold farming / leveling time sink.'

Unlike a number of recent MMOs, there are no dynamic world events, and no auto-scaling as you return to older zones - this is my only major criticism, as it means lower level content will empty out over time. Given the very high number of group focused enemies and tasks even in the initial zones of play - this may cause some issues down the road.

But beyond that, it is stunningly fun.

Characters have a vast array of individual customization options - being able to change skills and specialization bonuses on the fly.

Costumes are there from the beginning, letting you tailor the appearance of your character early on to exactly the look you desire.

Player Housing... becomes its own game. With all sorts of tools to customize your plot of land. And the plots of land are not some thing you need to keep paying to keep or shell out massive funds to get. Its given to you at level 14 (of 50), a few hours into play - and is yours to keep. You can put stylish homes on it, build a forest, plop down a mini-dungeon that you won elsewhere in the game, place private resource spots for crafting, and so on.

And crafting too, is highly customizable. You assemble needed ingredients, and then dial in the bonuses / quality you want, and attempt to craft. Boost it up too much and you risk a crafting failure, consuming the ingredients. But dial it down, and you can be guaranteed a sure thing.

This is an MMO that should withstand the test of time. All the right elements are there.

The usual launch issues of gold farmers and curious bugs are there - but those will be sorted out soon.

Those are all different means to aquire loot, mounts, costumizatons etc.

Although the game still have a few bugs, some of which can be irritating at time, but it has so much to offer that it fully compensate for its flaws. NCSOFT also promises a lot of content regularly, and the strain patch is an excellent example of this.

The ravegraphs as everyone is complaining about make you actually involved in the boss fight instead of just looking at action bars and casting timers. The game actually looks amazing on ultra as well. The pvp of course need to get balanced, but thats something that never gets perfected.
Pros: Classes all have tank/heal + dps specs
    housing is amazing
crafting actually matters again for some of the best items
challenging pve content (what i have to get attuned again)
armor dye and well as costuming
content monthly to justify 15 a month
    fun and fresh combat system
    cons
the leveling sucks as in every mmo now, but honestly how are you gonna justify leveling in a mmo.. so stop complaining about fetch quest after fetch quest.
the ui does need a lot of work
couple of bugs still that need fixing

last but not least the game has been out a month stop hating on stuff that took wow 10 years + 12million subscribers to become a perfect game. this game is on the right path already

Yes, Wildstar is a theme park MMO but it the best polished, most impressing and most joyful theme park in MMO World. In times where the Star is trembling and the new hope (ESO) failed in so many ways Wildstar was just like coming home.
    I love it.

It's fun, challenging, epic and a fast game with movement and epic battles all the time!

The only thing this game is missing, is more friends to play with! :-)

Aside from the bugs, this game is really fun. I am level 50 for 2 weeks now and I am working on my attunement. The endgame dungeons are very challenging, and it feels great doing the runs with my guild and we feel accomplished every time we manage to finish something. For once, I found an MMO challenging again.

I love the customization in your house, mount and clothing. The world story is also pretty dark in my opinion, so don´t be fooled by the looks of this game. There is a lot of cool lore to be found, but you need to look for it. My tip: read/listen to every data cube. The Eldan are some interesting aliens :)

And if you make your Furniture/ceilings realistic sizes as one of the non-giant races, you'll notice the houses are actually quite huge

I find my self happily spending HOURS working on my house in this game

Let me start by saying that anybody that gave this game a 0 is a WoW or ESO fanboy that has never tried the game. I looked at most of their review history, and they either had no other reviews or WS zero and ESO rated as a ten. Granted I only played ESO during beta, but it wasn't for me. That being said, I wouldn't give it a 0 (maybe a 5 in late closed beta, but I am not going to go rate it without a honest amount of time invested). Don't listen to the trolls.

Now for the actual review, short and sweet:

Let's start with the bad... The questing, like most MMOs if you have played a bunch of MMOs, can get boring (thousands of hours in WoW speaking). There are a lot of bugs, but that is understandable for a game this large and new. Most importantly, the optimization of their engine blows, my good computer doesn't run it nearly as well as it should (but even then it is completely playing and normally not noticeable). There are some other negative aspects, but I want to point out the major pros/cons.

Now for why you should buy Wildstar. It is plain fun... the humor, the beauty, the story line and lore, all great. The single best part of WS though, is the combat. Having dynamic battles where you need to dodge enemy attacks, and maneuver yourself into the correct position to attack is brilliant. After about level 15 or so, no fight is a cakewalk and you can die if you get lazy. I also love that dungeons are extremely challenging. I am a bit of a masochist, so the joy of beating a ultra-hard boss for the first time after wiping multiple times is one of my favorite rewards. Finally, the housing system is much more fun than I thought it would be. Being able to do whatever you want with items you find throughout the world to make your character unique has been a surprising bonus, that I didn't think I would enjoy nearly as much as I do.

Let me finish by saying that I am not a hardcore player, but MMORPGs have always been my favorite games. I have been playing them since the launch of EQ, where you would fight a random mob, and site for minutes to get your health back. I played WoW for more than I would like to admit (who hasn't). That being said I honestly believe that this will be the game that overtakes WoW, and I am excited to be a part of it from the start. I am giving this a 9 based on the belief of what I think it will become, but cannot truthfully give it a 10 with the problems it has at the present.

There is no simple auto attack you must aim watch your cool downs and time your attacks. The game has a very funny laid back vibe kinda has a borderlands feel. Crafting is a nice tight system that will be easy for anyone who play's MMO's to jump into. The housing system is top notch and I haven't had this much freedom since SWG you get your own plot of land in the sky you can build hundreds of things on your land. If you like MMO's enjoy raiding, pvp, building your own place ine the world Wildstar will wrap you up in its arms and love you back. The game has some bug still they do updates and server maintenance almost daily and are working very hard to get the game at 100%. Some are passive in that they don't require you to actively collect the materials (Yey no more skinning). Crafting materials are stored seperately from your bags with no limit, so no need to worry about conserving space. Each profession has "achievements" that build up to grant you talent points in that specific profession. These can consist of lowering failure rate, better chance of rune slots, etc.

Combat : No more face rolling enemies. The telegraph system that highlights the range of their special abilities requires you to be reactive, and to try to avoid as much damage as possible. Most enemies will have a combo of sorts that do tremendous damage, but can easily be learned to be more efficient at defeating them.

Dungeons/Adventures : Bored with 5 minute heroic runs like WoW? Then you are in for a treat. Bosses, and even some of the trash packs can be difficult to overcome. Adventures literally mean an adventure taking up to almost an hour to finish. Instead of a linear dungeon, you will have the chance to pick what scenario you want to pursue. A bunch of rebels are being held captive? Or some farms being terrorized? You get to vote amongst your 4 party members what you will do. Regular dungeons will scale you level down to when you first unlocked it. Think of this as challenge mode in WoW where all your gear is brought down to a 463 item level. No more power housing through with a level 50 player to carry you.

Player Housing : I really didn't know what to think of it at first other than some random place you could visit at your leisure. As you progress and find new things to add to your decor, you will get certain benefits. You can have your own crafting station for your professions, a dedicated node for a particular profession, or just items that increase the amount of rested experience you accrue such as a bed, couch, etc. There are also mini-games that are associated with what you place on your land as well.

Quests : It does have the standard kill this many, collect this much, or go here and there. The interesting part here is that it isn't based upon how many. Instead it is percentage based so that the harder difficulty the enemy is will give you a higher percentage of credit. You have your standard enemies, but there is also tough, and "elite" enemies. There are a handful of goofy quests for comic relief that lighten the atmosphere to show that the game is about having a good time.

Abilities/Talents : Abilities come in 3 seperate categories depending on their function. These abilities can be further improved by allocating a point in them to make them more effective. At levels 25 and 45 you unlock a Tier for them that gives them a special benefit. Wildstar did make it a point at customization, and you can easily swap out your abilities and any points allocated to them by simply removing them from your bar. You just leveled and purchased a new ability that is more effective? Then go ahead and remove that starter spell and put all those awesome points to make that new ability that much stronger. The talent system (AMP) has 3 tiers. The 1st tier only requires one AMP point to allocate, but the 2nd tier requires 4, and the 3rd tier requires 6. Some are available immediately, but some require the use of an AMP that can be dropped by enemies, somewhat akin to Glyphs from WoW. Unlike WoW though, these can unlock profound abilities that can bolster your current role/play style immensely.

Wildstar overall is not exactly innovative, but still a refreshing change of pace. One thing that many players miss is the sense of accomplishment when you get something done. If you have played WoW (Which who are we kidding is most of us), you could consider this an alternate universe of the Burning Crusade/Wrath of the Lich King era. The difficulty is there, the investment that is required pays off, and after it is said and done. You feel like a boss. In otherwords if you miss what WoW used to be, then I would strongly recommend giving it a chance.

Difficult content is rewarding content.

The art and environment is simply beautiful and even dynamic. The art is somewhat cartoon-y, but it has various colors and lighting that immerses you in the world of Nexus. Also, all zones have hazards such as man-eating plants, sand tornadoes, toxicity clouds, falling meteors, etc.

The dungeons are very challenging, but rewarding. The combat style is much more intense than that of open world combat. I have wiped many times on the first dungeon. There are bosses that require a different strategy for different parties. None of these dungeons are "tank-n-spank". You simply cannot afk (idle) and expect someone to carry you to win the fight. Tanks cannot just tank, dps cannot just dps, and healers cannot just heal. They all have to learn to adapt to the enemy abilities and combat. If you lose one player, the fight becomes much more challenging.

Housing. Housing is by far one of the best aspects of the game. I have never dug into housing before in other MMOs sans this one. The amount of customization is astounding. You can add air conditioning to your room, open bars outside, and even change the sky and lighting of your very own plot of land in the sky. The cool part is that housing decorations give bonuses to your exp, known as rest exp.

Unlike many others that came after ."That MMO", that were heavily based upon their IP names and failed to deliver a great and satisfying experience in the long run, wildstar delivers just what everyone pretty much wanted from an MMO, hence it's "lack of originality". But do not let this deceive you, it's that same aspect that makes this game a great MMO, since it feels and plays like what the community established as an MMO.

You can't get free epic loot without working for it and the legendary gear is a big slog, attunement to raids, 20man, 40man etc.
Graphics are great when you get past some of the performance issues Carbine are hotfixing out. but generally they have had a positive launch, not too many problems. I played wow, swtor, secret world, gw1 and 2 hardcore and I can recommend Wildstar to the real MMO fans. For the casual there is plenty to do and see but don't expect great rewards unless you work for it. Housing - Fantastic.

pretty good MMO, the best since early world of warcraft. challenging difficulty, cool characters, marvelous humour. after some patches and fixes, it'll be much more fun.

Wildstar is the new MMO I have been waiting for. It brings MMO to a whole new level with big changes in the combat and questing system.
The game, its self, is already insane good - but it also got potential for more content later on - it's what we pay the developers for!
Keep it up, Wildstar, and win all MMO-lovers heart

Best MMO i have played in years. Combat is fresh and fun, housing is interesting, dungeons are difficult. This is the game SWOTR should have made instead of a crappy copy of WoW.

I tend to play MMO’s as a drifter: roll in, pick up some quests, do some, skip others, get distracted en route to the next one. I rarely read quests texts and just go where the arrow points and hit what’s marked for me by the quest tracker. I don’t care about completing anything unless I have to do.

I get ganked. Return the favor. Help out a /zone request, get in a random raid trying

I get ganked. Return the favor. Help out a /zone request, get in a random raid trying for a world boss achievement. Stand around doing nothing, enjoying music and the general sound stage of the location, then veer off for a spot of resource gathering. Queue a battleground on a whim, then leave to take naked pics on a mountain.

I love to play the auction house, especially in a game where everyone’s new, with some selling stuff below vendor price. Get rich. Spent a ton on vanity (it’s all vanity, in any case, ask my buddy Marcus Tullius). I love to help out randoms, or choose to watch them gain a repair bill – random kindness is random.

I love fast, fast combat with a careful selection of skills in my bar, with constant repositioning and aiming and a nice spray of loot for my troubles.

And I’m up for getting my ass handed in any dungeon a couple of times, to bask in the pay-off of eternal, virtual and meaningless (but highly satisfying) glory. Wipes fill me with glee and determination.

I love messy world pvp - Aurins. Must. Die.

    Wildstar is my game.

WildStar takes me back to a time when MMO's were fun for me. I have played WoW for 9 years and of about 6 of those years, I haven't had as much fun as I've had in the past week playing this game. Definitely a refreshing game for someone wanting to transition away from WoW.

Most well rounded MMO there is currently with a great future ahead of itself. If you like action combat and a challenge this is the place to be. Dungeon content is fun, exciting, funny, and a CHALLENGE. It's worth the price of admission. Also housing system to date (minus Ultima Online).

Ох, давно меня так не бомбило от сложности данжей и адвенчур :)
ПвП то же неплохое, по началу хаос, но потом ты уже как про боец в этой куче мале разруливаешь всех и вся :)
Игра стоит того, что бы её попробовать!

Great fun. Reminds me of the good old days of WOW. Unique classes and races. The path system adds another layer of things to do. Customizable player housing. Give this game a try and you might be surprised.

The Leveling process in this game is pretty bland, not to say boring. Just your typical kill this, fetch that stuff *yawn*. The art style certainly isn't for everybody, but if you can get over that it's really quite ok, not to say pretty good. It's a pretty unique game, and I'm not going to bet money on it going F2P anytime soon.

WildStar is the only MMO that has the slightest chance of taking the crown off WoW's head to become the new king of MMOs, and that's possibly due to the fact that many of the original WoW developers are the ones who created WildStar. They know what they're doing and it shows. Rather than making yet another WoW clone, they took what really worked in WoW, ditched some of the annoyances, changed up the combat, and created a unique universe that may have a familiar art style, but also a very unique and magical feel. It's the first time I've felt that same sense of magic since the old days of WoW. To be honest, this is the game that I was hoping Star Wars: The Old Republic would be. A sci-fi MMO that gives you a seamless, vast open world and doesn't take itself too seriously.

The only other worthy competitor currently on the market is Final Fantasy XIV, but since it is more of a story-driven game and thus very different from WS or WoW, I don't think it should be compared to either of them. It has succeeded in its own way and caters to those who are turned off by WoW-style (cartoony, less story-driven) MMOs. In short, WildStar and FFXIV is where it's at.

One of the best games I have played in a long time, I wish I could explain how good it really is...but any words I try would not give this game justice, if your unsure and know a friend who plays ask them for a guest pass CD key, and after a week of play you will not play anything else.

Carbine never was set to reinvent the wheel. But they put a nice set of custom rims on their vehicle. And then they strapped the whole thing on a space shuttle and send it into space.

For those burnt out on WOW's content, WildStar is easy to endorse. Immediately familiar to anyone who's visited Azeroth and with enough new twists on the tried-and-tested theme park formula, Carbine's game is so overflowing with stuff to do that it's certainly justified in asking for a subscription - even if less people seem prepared to sign up to one.

Wildstar banks on hardcore raid and instance difficulty as well as its excellently implemented "dancing" real time combat mechanic to offer something significantly new and fresh to the MMORPG scene. Low server population and annoying hints of a "Pay To Win More" model hold it back in certain areas, but it has all the potential of becoming a well established and much loved setting for years to come.
