    ---{ Story }---
PC is a hacker who gets mixed up in something way over his head. Bad guys try to scare him off but end up killing his niece. Rampage.
The story is ok in principal, but the further into it you play, the more the plot contrivances build up. There are several plot holes that bothered me. It does raise interesting questions about the surveillance state, and a free society versus a safe society.
However, there are too many main missions. I feel like half of chapter four should've been side-quests, it just drags too much and kills the pacing. Also Clara's *spoiler* feels like tacked on. Devs clearly knew it was going to happen (there was early signposting), but then the way it was integrated was very sloppy.

    ---{ Gameplay }---
The movement is really awkward. You can climb over massive fences, but not a meter high wall. You can't climb out of water unless there is a pre-ordained climbable surface.
The driving is absolute trash. Cars accelerate violently with the barest touch of a button. This might make sense with a high powered sports car, but it happens with everything, including massive trucks.
Anything involving car chases is wack. Worst rubber-banding I've ever seen. The game (and fans) are very quick to remind you that you're not playing GTA, you're a hacker, so hack your way out of trouble, but then the correct solution to some escapes is to... steal a boat and sail out into open water??? Also enemy vehicles can instantly accelerate from stationary to ramming speed, your car however can not.
Nobody in the city has any regard for there own safety. Pedestrians will leap in front of you. Enemies will ram their car into you in a way that would absolutely result in their death. Multiple times.

    ---{ Graphics }---
So obviously the E3 fiasco. But actually the graphics are fine. Everything looks very nice. Certain levels of anti-aliasing resulted in shadows flickering. Got some object pop-in as well at what i would consider a relatively short distance.

    ---{ Audio }---
Absolutely awful. Dialogue was so quiet i had to turn my volume well above 50% (normally I'm at about 20, 30 max), and then something exploded and I'm deaf now. Whoever was in charge of audio for this game should be locked up for wilful endangerment.
The voice cast did very well.

    ---{ Difficulty }---
Overall it's all very do-able. There were some missions that were badly designed (enemies spawning behind you, infinitely spawning enemy cars), but overall, not a hard game

    ---{ Grind }---
Huge. The amount of side content here is ludicrous. You're constantly being peppered with notifications of a crime being committed nearby. You don't NEED to complete them, but you'd be crippled without some of the hacking and driving abilities, so a bit of side-questing is recommended.

    ---{ Bugs }---
CTD when changing certain graphical settings. CTD when changing to full-screen with some graphical settings. Some missions are bugged so you can't complete without a restart.

    ---{ PC Requirements }---
Max settings on an i5-9600K and an RTX 2070 = constant 60fps.

I played Watch Dogs on the PS3 when it was first released, at first I was sad about the downgrade but considering that I now know a lot about gaming and the technology behind it I realised for a PS3 game it was above par. So a few years after I decided to play it on PC, I tried it on max settings and played around with some mods and enjoyed the story still to this day.

So a few years after I decided to play it on PC, I tried it on max settings and played around with some mods and enjoyed the story still to this day.

This is a game that deserves a second chance, this needs to be Remade, I love the idea of a Lone Vigilant cleaning up the streets of Chicago using Hacking as his weapon. This game shows so much potential but was limited by the technology and possibly the creativity of its time.

If I ever get into the gaming industry and somehow end up in Ubisoft, this is the first project I want to tackle. This game can be so much more.

But for what it is, it is a fun game, with a deep story that doesn't pull its punches, Aiden Pearce is a Bad@ss with a dark past...Ok, this sounds generic, but believe it or not, it's true.
Every time I play it I can just play the story threw with no problem it's not a hassle at all, perhaps it's just because I like the premise.

There are a few bugs you'll encounter and they are irritating, literally, the end credits screen bugs out.

Other Things like the characters the music, sound effects, weapons, and hacking enemies. they are really great, they are just let down by some poor level and mission design, it's not as cinematic or interactive as you think like an Assassin's Creed Game.

The music is really good, it's one of my favourites in gaming, once you hit the helicopter chase scene you'll realise that you like the vibe and the music.

Ubisoft, give Aiden Pearce a Second Chance, this is the perfect game worthy of a Remake.

In any field at least one better game exists just HACKING could make it so exciting but it was so normally
It's good to play but once the story is over you can't and don't want to play anymore
nearly nothing exists that you do and other game doesn.t have and its so bad for a open world game

Expand

Visual (7/10): So graphics is good, but as I know at the start there were too many problems and differences between prebuild and the game, even years after release on new videocard - the game lack optimization. Music was not very memorable, it was average just for atmosphere. Interface and visual design was ok, I don't feel the city is living I feel like it's my big sandbox, similar feeling I had in Prorotype years ago.

Gameplay (6/10): Gameplay is not balanced, first mission on stadium - WOW, hacking city - WOW, virtual drug mini-games - cool, but it's first couple of hours in game, than you need to play a bit boring linear storyline, a hue minus of the game balance - in the end game it's better and easier to kill everyone using weapons rather than do some hacking staff and it's really frustrating, because WD is bad shooter game with strange physics.
Story (7/10) Story is very average, but I really like characters and interaction between them. Really good job for direction some missions , very cinematographic. And it was a bit interesting at the beginning to understand how everything works with this cityOS. All other things are just average - we are god guys, all others are bad guys, and of course super bad guy who will tell us the plan before shoot us.

So all in all WD is not an AAA game, but it was good AA game with some unique mechanics that I really like. and that's why I've tried other games. So like first AC this game is not balanced, was not optimized a lot, and have some boring moments in a super serious story, but I feel that developers and designers really like what they did and tried their bests. I think I can recommend this game to everyone who likes open-world games, or want to check WD series. But it's not a masterpiece or must play game, just good ambiguous game.

Even the game mechanics are incompleted. Game usually offers you a stealth gameplay especially in the main quests. But the silly part is, game even doesn't have fundemental stealth mechanics like, carrying dead body's.
This game had the potential. But the Ubisoft's money lust causes a incompleted freak game again.

Watch Dogs - '' Hacker game about the future world ''

The game surprised me the most with its details and how the surrounding future will look. When I started talking about the story of the game, I personally enjoyed the start of the game, the game felt at first like a movie series, I mean the cutscenes. The goal of the game's story is about revenge and fighting corrupt bandits and so on, but story - writing was sometimes funny or dumb, without logic. Personally, I liked and disliked how they made the game's gameplay. The most interesting thing was to hack certain things you could. The story mission of the game was very boring, those missions kept repeating only there were a few missions that really felt like a good game, even the side missions were better than the story mission was, and some game missions were repetitive and were boring. But what I really disliked in the game, the Auto Aim, on the PC platform - WHAT Really? Auto Aim annoyed me a lot because it was too easy to play and very uncomfortable. The enemy's AI was very bad, they only knew how to shoot very accurately and think dumb. The game had quite a few bugs that interfered with playing the game.

So the game isn’t too bad I still remember what event happens that day, when Ubisoft cheated players that Watch Dogs would have brutally good graphics, but things were different. I may have played the older version, maybe everything is fine now, but I wanted to start with the older version. I enjoyed the details of the city and that life in the game felt like the future. The game has problems, and it is not the best. I would dedicate 7/10 to this game.

My biggest issue with this game is that after everything with the story and side missions are done, there isn't anything else interesting to do. This isn't the kind of open world game where you can simply wander the world and find something to play with. The NPC AI is basic. The only good part about the AI is how the police AI can weave traffic like it's nothing, something all other games with vehicular pursuit I've played struggle with. Overall, I enjoyed it, and it's a game worth playing for the story and missions. Expand

A typical Ubisoft game no more, no less. I wonder why it is keeping gain so much hate even today, 7 years afterwards. Dowdy plot, boring characters, poor gameplay mechanics - everything in the best traditions of Assassin's Creed games, nothing new. But... That neo-noir style the game was made in kept me glued to screen throughout whole campaign. Only because of aesthetics i'll give it 7/10.

Watch Dogs was one of the games I was just looking forward to. The game had huge marketing and today I laugh backwards at how I thought in 2014 at the time that Watch Dogs could compete with GTA. Why not, when I have an open-world GTA style, it's just spiced up with the possibility of hacking. Unfortunately, today I already know that it is not a competitor. Why not, when I have an open-world GTA style, it's just spiced up with the possibility of hacking. Unfortunately, today I already know that it is not a competitor. Not only that, but also disappointment. I would start with graphics. She's going? It's not bad, but what the hell is that compared to what we saw at E3? At that time, Ubisoft simply showed us something completely different in the trailer, which we finally got, and not only that. Not only does the game not look as it should, but it doesn't run properly either. When the developers downloaded the graphics, I would expect some better optimization, which unfortunately does not apply here, and at that time you needed quite a powerful PC for the game. Let's just say you have these things and you're ready to be disappointed in the form of graphics and you have enough machine for this game, but what hits you in the face after a few hours or at least hit me was the story. He's just like that… meh? I don't know how much to describe it. It sounds pretty good on paper and I'm definitely not saying it's bad, but the main problem is the characters, especially the main one. Yes, especially the main one. The one for which you play the whole game. Your character Aiden Pearce doesn't say much and it simply seems to me that he doesn't have much character and doesn't develop during the game. Unfortunately, the problems do not end there. Shooting from weapons is also not the best, but thanks to the possibility of slow-motion, it is actually great, but what does not benefit the game too much is the control of the vehicle. It's not really bad, but of all the open-world games I've ever played, it was perhaps the worst. That's my opinion. Overall, therefore, it is an above-average game. I believe he will find his fans. I myself like Watch Dogs 1, but I personally would not recommend the game. This is simply not what was presented to us at E3 and it's a shame. Expand

The open-world is ok, the driving sucks, FYI I play hardcore sim racing and arcade racing games, you only meet the villain of the story 3 times, and the third time you kill him, also he is just evil for the sake of being evil no actual motivation. most of the fun in this game is during spider tank ( a side mission ) and gang hideouts (also side missions). no one should play this if you have the option to play watch dogs 2, it is way better in every way imaginable with better hacking, better open world and no false graphics tease. 6.5/10. The core gameplay is really weak, though the hacking puzzles can be enjoyable. It's a shame that this game does not present a cohesive story and the main character is so dull as it could have been an important entry in the world of Internet dangers that are developing faster and faster. Still fun at times.

Nothing could have realistically lived up to the immense level of hype that Ubisoft stirred up for this game, and while I value strong narratives and envelope-pushing technological advancements, I place just as much importance in the ability to enjoy the gameplay that's being offered to me. Watch Dogs is one of the more exciting sandbox games of the last few years, and if this is to become Ubisoft's next big franchise, I'm excited to see where they take it.
