    The PC support blows, would not recommend. I have to install twice, uninstall, now reinstall. Additionally, the game wouldn't even start on my first try, I had to tinker with it for a bit. Hope it actually works. I'm surprised that an AAA studio has a game this broken on PC, kind of impressive.

    This is a very good game. I got incredible pleasure passing it. Passed three times. The only negative is the atmosphere. It is too colorful, cheerful, cheerful. I think it was necessary to add at least a little seriousness. And the physics of cars, well, it's just awful.

    One of the best games I’ve played in a while, hands down. Controls are so much better than Watch_Dogs and the story is just so good! Such a fun and addictive game!

    This game will not start within 30 minutes the first time. In the internet the problem should be the old nvidia grafic tribers. but i cannot install a newer one with my GTX 870m graficcard. But in the game minimum specs a way older graficcard ist listet ( GTX 660). So 0 points for this game and this lie.

    I didn't even finish the first mission, the game is so boring and the controls are absolut trash (xbox controller). Graphics are not that impressive neither. No wonder they are giving it away for free everywhere

    Watch dogs 2 is good enough to make you feel a hacker. And hacking mechanics is awesome. You must play this game. But game end is not good.

    I think, however the bugs, the animation problems ect. The game is good. I had a lot of fun playing. I loved the characters, especially Wrench of course.

    The only thing that I didn't like is, you can Make Marcus lethal. Sometimes you have to make him. But that doesn't stand with the message and propaganda. I mean, Marcus wouldn't kill Councillor's guards

    Unfortunately this game ends up on the pile of soulless open world games that try to hide their deficiencies in atmosphere, game design, mechanics, graphics and aesthetics with a failed and uninteresting multiplayer mode. Price considerations apart, this game is not worth your time.

    Has a rich and active world, but ironically NPCs have only a handful of facial variation. Some mechanics aren't as polished as in GTA V, but the fullness of the world and hacking stuff makes up for it.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think Ubisoft recycle Assassin's Creed plots and aply them on Watch Dogs. Because they're so similar (Unity x WD1, Syndicate x WD2) and for some reason worse.
    They give you characters taken straight from psych ward, labile autists, transgenders, Neil Druckmann lookalike antagonist who's worse than Starrick, a black brotha that's there just to spread BLM propaganda and to die later in the game and I couldn't care less. These characters make Ray (who's in the game only to make a connection to the first game) look normal and Marcus, the protagonist, dull.
    The story is so boring, it made me skip the cutscenes and hammer x the dialogues. You keep invading cringe-ass named companies' HQs and downloading their data over and over again. Every single mission is to sneak in, download, sneak out.
    Marcus acts the whole game like a **** messiah and superhero who's saving the world and his friends.
    You'll spend the between-mission time by driving car rocket speed that is weirdly slow across the longest bridges in a game ever and listening to classical music because other radio music is ****

    this game is actually fun, a pure fun to play. WD1 has the theme with gloomy, dark environtment, while WD2 has bright, cheerful, friendly and artsy. personally, i like WD1 more, but this works too. even though the map is small, it's really alive, the NPC really actually not a NPC, they all have personalities    thanks to ubisoft, i don't even pay a single dollar for both wd1 and wd2.

    the cons, the AI is smart, but annoying, they spot you once, the entire city know you there. although you can clearly prevent it by some really smart play.

    the story is okay, th writing is, too "millenials", i prefer WD1 in term of story. but gameplay, WD2 sure win a big part . 8/10 for me    … Expand

    I am surprised that is such a good game. Nice story and very good gameplay. I heard that driving cars is not so good but for me works perfectly fine (but it is less realistic then in GTA 5). Never the less this game is worth to play even in 2020.

    What I didnt like:
    Physics, AI, Cant get attached to the chars or the game history (some missions are nice but in general its boring)

    Better than Watch Dogs 1. This game is better in everything the prequel did. However it`s not perfect, and the violence could be developed in other way. Recommended.

    I have radeon 5700 xt, amd ryzen 3900x 64 gb ram and this **** game crashing on my machine.
    THIS IS NOT HARDWARE ISSUE.

    This game is one of the most underrated and underappreciated games I've ever played. The originality of the concept stands out so much with the help of it's story. The amount of things you can do is absolutely crazy. The world is great and feels so alive. Absolutely beautiful game.

While discovering the city, you'll stumble upon real life locations, such as Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz or Lombard Street. Hacking is done simply enough for everybody to understand, but also can be very challenging. Main characters are written very well, throughout the game, you create some sort of a bond woth them. Story is amazing and you really hope, that everything will work out well for our heroes. Game is full of little details, for example, if Marcus is wearing long shirt, or hoodie, lower end of it moves as Marcus walks.
    Unfortunately, Watch Dogs 2 has some big flaws, that are dragging the game down. Let's start with driving. Driving in this game is very bad, arcade style and you cant customize your cars much. Next on the list is shooting and guns. Watch Dogs 2 is trying to be like a hacking GTA, but since the game is meant to be stealth orientated, you cant actually go guns blazing. Still, the game is giving you a handful of guns to choose from, but only two of about 25 guns are silenced, which gives very little space for decision. Sounds of guns and way, that guns work are really arcade-like and poor. What i think is the biggest flaw of the game, are the missions. Until about half of the game, you have many side missions to pick, but from the half of the game I have no side missions to complete, so my only option was to rush main mission, because i couldn't do anything else. Some side missions are presented to you through your hacker group DedSec, some can be found throughout the world. No matter what you do, it seems like after you are past half of the game, you have no side missions. Thanks to that, you will complete the game rather quickly.

    this is a good game by itself. but a truly disappointing sequel. the dark and mature mood of the original game was sacrificed for colorful streets, characters, and missions. too much comedy. the mechanics are still there, the parkour was improved and new toys were added. if you loved the first game's story and atmosphere, you most likely won't hate this one, but won't love it either.

    The story has some cool elements, nice and nice characters. The gameplay was something that really got me back when I was playing. The world is very beautiful and cool to explore. It has its flaws but I liked it a lot when I played.

    Отличная игра для любителей хакеров, стелса, открытых миров, драйвовых сюжетов и запоминающихся персонажей. Как по мне эта игра интереснее GTA5. Хоть и открытый мир немного хуже, он сполна компенсируется различными игровыми механиками (стелс, взлом и т.д.) и вариативностью прохождения (можно как убивать всех из огнестрела, так и убивать с помощью взлома машин, щитков и т.д.). Ещё оченьОтличная игра для любителей хакеров, стелса, открытых миров, драйвовых сюжетов и запоминающихся персонажей. Как по мне эта игра интереснее GTA5. Хоть и открытый мир немного хуже, он сполна компенсируется различными игровыми механиками (стелс, взлом и т.д.) и вариативностью прохождения (можно как убивать всех из огнестрела, так и убивать с помощью взлома машин, щитков и т.д.). Ещё очень порадовали анимации элементов паркура. Из явных минусов можно отметить вождение. Управление не слишком реалистичное (в отличие от GTA5). Из незначительных минусов: главный герой скучноват, что нельзя сказать про второстепенных... В общем игра обязательна к прохождению. Тем более скоро выйдет новая часть (Watch Dogs Legion). И перед её выходом стоит хоть немного узнать про франшизу. (первую часть можно глянуть, но она мрачновата и есть много косяков. В этой же всё хорошо и ярко).… Expand

    Personally, I liked Watch Dogs 2. This is a clear progress after the failed first part. Nice graphics, good optimization, interesting plot. But most of all, I liked the basic gameplay. Passing missions on the stealth has become several times more interesting!

    Within the first few minutes of playing the game, I fell in love with it.

    It was one of those games you don't want to leave, because it draws you in, the story is super interesting well written, amazing characrers, awesome choices that affects your playthrough.

    Isn't a sequel suppsed to take the best of the first, and improve on what didn't work?
    Yeah this feels like a bland copy-paste of the first with a little bit prettier grapichs and an attepmt at a new story.
    Though I suppose it looks prettier...

    The game becomes repetitive and boring, the characters seem immature and the story is not very deep or interesting, the story of watch dogs 1 far exceeds it, the game has many things to do and with that extends its playing time , but there is nothing interesting, I do not recommend

I was one of the few people that enjoyed the first WD, so I was excited about this game because I heard it was a marked improvement over the original. The first WD felt overly dramatic and the character development forced, but the game did turn out to be a fun journey with unique hacker elements that set it apart from its competitors in the action-adventure genre. From the start, WD2 did feel like it improved a lot on the aspects of the first that held it back. However, as the game progressed, I realized a lot of the features that made the original great were thrown out in favor of turning the game into a generic action-adventure title leading to the series taking one step forward but two steps back.

    The first thing that is noticed about the game is the controls are a lot smoother than the original. Marcus doesn’t jerk around as much as Aiden Pierce did and the driving is like that of other games, so there are no game specific movement adjustments that you must get used to as in the first. This eliminates a lot of mistakes one would make because of clunky character movements and leads to a more satisfying gameplay experience.

    When it comes to actual gameplay, it feels like missions were designed to be straight forward probably at an attempt to appeal to a broader audience, but that also leads to sacrificing the identity of the series itself. Almost every mission consists of breaking into a facility to hack some sort of equipment by simply pressing a button or playing the same minigame. You can use stealth, your robots, or brute force, but the variety of the missions ends there. The game did end up being short enough that lack of variety didn’t really factor into the missions growing boring, but it did feel generic and the hacker theme of the game suffered because of it. In fact, it seemed like a lot of the time advanced hacker skills weren’t even needed in most of the missions. This led to me stockpiling a ton of skill point on the hardest difficulty possible in the game without having any trouble whatsoever, which should never happen. I eventually just reached a point where I dumped all my points into traits to help me with PVP scenarios and never was punished once because of it.

    In terms of the story, there is a purpose for what the character’s are doing and it is more believable than the original Aiden Pierce story, but the way they go about doing it is just as generic as the gameplay that is used to accomplish the task. In order to take down Blume, the plan is to expose the corporations in bed with Blume to hurt their reputation and make them think twice about it. This is done in a string of missions lasting 30 minutes each followed by a news broadcast exposing the story. That’s it. Just like the gameplay, the corporations feel like reskins of each other and for the most part your interactions with these big tech giants begins and ends in that 30-minute mission.

    Sticking with the theme of WD 2, character development is also generic and there is little depth to the characters especially comparing it to the original. Character backstories are summed up in 20 seconds audio files and the only development you see is very minimal surface development. This surface development is usually summed up in a single event that is designed to make you feel sympathetic towards the characters, but often feels forced and instead makes you realize how little development there actually is. For instance, there is one event in the game that is supposed to be emotionally devastating, but the event as well as the emotional impact is all summed up in a single mission and never brought up again making you question how much it really affected the group. To put it in perspective how different the character development is between the two games, I remember Aiden Pierce’s full name after years of not playing the game but had to look up Marcus Holloway’s name even though I just beat the game last week.

    Overall, Watch Dogs 2 was a fun game to play, but there is nothing about it that is going to be memorable except maybe the overly political commentary that even the people they’re trying to appeal to disapprove of. Instead of fixing the problems of the original Watch Dogs, it seems like the company just decided to make a generic action-adventure game to appeal to the most people possible to maximize their profits. If another GTA clone is what you're looking for then go ahead and buy it once it goes on sell but if you are looking for something more then maybe this isn't the game for you.    … Expand

    Things that I don't enjoy about this game:
    - super cheesy and campy dialogue and art. it's pretty much the dorkiest way to try portraying "cool" hackers. e.g. the little montage of them repairing the self-driving car. facepalm.
    - the Cover mechanic is awful. i simply have not found a way to cleanly disengage from cover. you can't just toggle it with C, you have to back away from the wall    Things that I don't enjoy about this game:
    - super cheesy and campy dialogue and art. it's pretty much the dorkiest way to try portraying "cool" hackers. e.g. the little montage of them repairing the self-driving car. facepalm.
    - the Cover mechanic is awful. i simply have not found a way to cleanly disengage from cover. you can't just toggle it with C, you have to back away from the wall which starts you running and potentially exposes you to getting spotted.
    - music is hit & miss
    - climbing down ladders; i've lost count of the number of times have i dropped from a roof or ledge when trying to approach a ladder to climb down (you have to hit spacebar at just the right angle, position, and time).
    - the various clothing collectibles are, in my opinion, completely pointless
    - some side-missions are too long (repetitive). i think there were five ATM machine "hacks" that were simply boring and empty filler. i really don't want to scamper up ten different buildings to put up some posters. five or six is more than enough, though the last one was pretty satisfying.
    - it's not always clear why sometimes another player joins you in some kind of coop event while you're in the middle of your own tasks. not usually a problem, though. you can ignore these without anything bad happening.

    but, you know, the game is fun and i like running around completing the missions. the city is really pretty and taking pictures of things is almost as fun as stealing random strangers' money as you speed down the road on your scooter.    … Expand

    Watch Dogs 2 is a surprisingly good open-world stealth-shooter hybrid. The hacking mechanics in this game is all levels of fun and impressive along with its quality lore, controls, acting and visuals. It heavily focuses on the near-futuristic setting where Internet of Things rules the world which Ubisoft has executed elegantly.

The i5 6600K and GTX 1060 3Gb comes with ultra settings at 90 fps. I Put 9 points because in some moments of the plot it was boring

The reason they have upped the AI, is to force you to use the Jumper and Quadcopter. This takes away the stealth part of the game that was really enjoyable in the first. The joypad controls on PC on top of this are annoying, you must push the left stick in to make the character run, push the right stick in to crouch. If you crouch behind a wall and then move away from the wall you stand up. The AI then instantly spot you and chase you down and kill you. It feels like they have spent that much time on the gorgeous graphics, that they threw together the gameplay. The Online hack in Watchdogs one was so much fun and enjoyable, probably the most exciting multiplayer experience ive playing in a long time has been now integrated into the game instead of the UI. Instead of going into the menu and choosing the join a online hacking session. Your now driving down the road and you drive directly into an online co-op game, smash into a Van, then you have to hide from 2 opponents who have just seen you T-total your ride. The cops arrive at the scene of the crash. You manage to get a way and hide from the co-op players and hide in a car. and the police pull up next to you and start flashing their lights signalling where you are, but they dont arrest you, because your in an online multiplayer game. There has been no thought gone into the game play from Ubisoft. It comes accross annoying and the way you approach the missions feel forced. They took away some of the things that made number 1 shine. Definately worth getting in the sale, but beware can be frustrating to play at times, especially the controls on a Joypad.… Expand

Only key area where Ubi rivals R* is the world building and attention to detail put in it. Exploring Bay Area can take your breath away if youre interested in the game for the purpose of virtual tourism. However gameplay and narrative wise WD2 still doesnt have what it takes to be a top tier open world crime game.

    Driving is still pretty sub par, if not worse than in first game, cars feel way too twitchy, weightless with overly sensitive steering, no to mention the crappy crashing physics and some cars having to go through 100 gears when you fly the highways at top speed. Gunplay is nothing special, but some guns do sound pretty cool. Stealth can be somewhat fun due to hacking tools game gives you. The new traversal parkour system is pretty nice in action, but still the world is not as open as in GTA where you could go virtually anywhere, movement still can be clunky and restrictive where you should be able to scale something easily by logic. Cop chases can get annoying as hell due to cops being overly aware, the sheer numbers of cops game can throw at you all at once and their cars being relentless in stopping you with artificially increased speed compared to yours, like rubber banding of AI in racing games, the police heli especialy gets on the nerves if you dont have the skill unlocked to bugger it off. Marcus doesnt have much health, even on Normal difficulty game can be quite brutal if you go guns blazing without a strategy, this can be both good or bad depending on your play style. The enemy factions you face also over abuse the ''call for reinforcements'', they just keep coming and coming, and the enemy AI has ridiculous awareness of your position, they perfectly land every grenade thrown at you and they know excatly the place to rush once youre spotted, even if you changed your position while they didnt see you.

    Bay Area in Watch Dogs 2 is seriously impressively recreated, then again Chicago was the strongest point in first game aswell. It can be fun just walking around the San Francisco, Sillicon Valley, Oakland or Marin and taking in the surroundings. Graphics are very good allowing the world to pop with detail. The NPC system is quite good aswell like in first game, however the more you play the more you start hearing the same dialogues NPC's can be having or the scripted interactions between them.

    Story was yet another unimpressive Ubisoft affair. Still, the theme surrounding The Big Tech in Sillicon Valley, the power they hold and how they abuse it, its relevant stuff i have to say, especially now in 2018 when such companies have become overly political, condone censorship and try to meddle with ellections in USA and globally to get the result they deem ''right'' in their views. Main missions and side activities can be fun, but the main narrative and writing just goes by with you not caring much. Like when a key character dies in the game, you only care so much that you forget about it 5 minutes later. To be frank, before i tried the game, the cast of main characters semt pretty lame to me, but they are not that bad honestly, they did to a degree grew on me, but not to the point i would call them good or memorable, except maybe for Wrench and T Bone. Marcus himself, no matter how Ubisoft try to make him the exact opposite of Aiden, he ends up being the polar opposite with all his forced feeling cheeriness and rather shallow personality. The tone is much lighter than in the 1st game, there's lots jokes and humour, but its the kind humour thats rather hard to connect with if youre not a teen or younger, more simply put its not smart humour.

    Then there's a big issue with how the narrative simply ignores the fact if youre playing the game with a lethal approach. You can can be cold blooded killer with Marcus, but he keeps acting like his hands are clean of blood and so does rest of your DedSec crew. It doesnt make any sense. You can see Ubisoft wrote the story in a way that it only assumes youre playing without killing people, thats cool if youre a stealth fan who likes non lethal play style, if youre not then thats another problem you'll face in connecting with game's story line and characters.

    WD2 on PC also has some performance issues, very low frame rates in certain parts of the game world, occasional game crash here and there. Worst of all, the game can freeze up for several seconds before being playable again.

    Even with some of its bigger flaws, in the end i still had decent time with Watch Dogs 2.    … Expand

It just wasn’t fun.

    Wow, this game really surprised me. The first one was mediocre and underdelivered. The second one redeems the series with humor, graphics, and gameplay. It was a super fun game from start to finish for about 30 hours. I would definitely recommend it over Assassin's Creed or Far Cry. And if you can push it to ultra (like on a 1080ti), oh my does it look gorgeous.

    I don't like games that crash when I am playing in action. It happens sometimes with Watch Dogs 2. It makes me angry. I have Haswell processor, 16 GB ram, GTX1080 and W10. That is enough gear to run this game, but it gets random freezes and all I can do is to kill it via Task Manager. :-(
    Another thing is that I have a constant feeling that I play GTA V rip-off.

    Excellent game, superb PC port. It's so great to play a game that KNOWS WHAT IT WANTS TO BE! If you liked the Kingsman movie, you'll love this. It's a bit over-the-top, but not Saint's Row levels. It truly is an ode to geekdom and internet culture. Absolutely sublime game. Story DLC expensive, but adds a lot and is IMO well worth it. Ridiculous, but amazing.

The character developement screen has "aggressive", "trickster" and "stealth" ratings on perks, this made me expect there was some rating system at the end of quests. There is none. The character developement screen has "aggressive", "trickster" and "stealth" ratings on perks, this made me expect there was some rating system at the end of quests. There is none. The physics are mediocre, and sometimes wall climbing is bugged. The characters in the story interact in interesting ways...until they don't. They just stop, like there was no time to end their story. Even the main quest ends abruptly, i was expecting a couple more quests before the final one.
    This is a step in the right direction, but when the direct competitor is GTA5 and the bar was set so, so high almost 3 years ago, you can't sell a game that compares more to GTA4 and expect people not to notice.    … Expand

For example, you can choose to upgrade social engineering skills, which will eventually allow you to use a gang attack on your enemies. You would just need to get close enough to an enemy to assign a gang hit on him. If gang attacks isn't your cup of tea, you can put an APB on one of your enemies and then watch a police officer rush to the scene and arrest him.

    You can also upgrade your remote control car and drone, upgrade your vehicle hacking skills, markmanship...etc.

The PC performance is really good even on my GTX 960 I can get 1080p medium settings and a solid 40 - 60fps depending on my location. The world is absolutely beautiful and has a lot to actually explore for a Ubisoft game. The gameplay is smooth and solid. If you are a fan of stealth or action this game is for you. Watch Dogs 1 had a better story overall in my opinion and the story to Watch Dogs 2 never really has any high or lows, it just stays in the middle. I honestly think that the story is there to compliment the open world and all the activities that are there to do.     Watch Dogs 2 has a super great story to offer with the added humor of the game that makes it enjoyable. You don’t even have to do a mission in order to enjoy the game – just roaming around the great city of San Francisco or stalk other people is enough to enjoy the game, it’s like your playground.

And of course Watch Dogs 2 is much better Mafia 3. The graphics are good, not amazing , I play on medium settings. But the characters, objects felt some kind of plastic.
    Good plot, interesting story and side missions. A great optimization, well-researched city, nice graphics, interesting and varied gameplay focused on hacking . Watch Dogs 2 - a great game about hackers, not about murderers. It has flaws, but still I advise you to play, you will not regret.     Explosive devices are too powerful and infinite. Once you get 5 explosive (refilling infinitely) and ability to drop them by drones you have basically won the game.

    I played and enjoyed GTA 3 and GTA 4 but found GT5 to be just more of the same old tings with a bit of bling added, but once you peel all the bling away its the same old game. Where as Watch Dogs 2 is more interesting and holds my attention for longer with the challenge of getting things done stealthy instead of running in    the game is great!     I do wonder if UBI shot themselves in the foot with the console release coming before the PC as there was a problem with the online play on the consoles that needed a patch but by time Sony and Microsoft did the security checks on the patch it was released after the game came out and I feel this may have damaged the games reviews online. If they had released the PC version first there would have been no delay in the patch and all would of gone unnoticed.    … Expand

    Great game, fun characters, fantastic location. I really loved exploring the SF locations and interacting with npcs (listening to conversations, stealing money). I loved all the side quests and photo locations. My only problem was the puzzles, while they're not super hard, I would like the option to skip them when I replay, sometimes I just wasn't in the mood for them. I love the melee take downs (how that pool ball on a rope is non lethal I have no idea) and the options you have when contemplating your approach. Also I love that being spotted is not an auto fail, you can fight your way out if you can manage to isolate each guard. The drones are great for those hard to reach places that seem impossible in early game. The skill tree feels confusing but there are some great things to invest in. I really liked the character of Marcus and the hackers, especially when compared to some other ubisoft game characters (like those unrelatable douchbags from farcry 3). This game is super refreshing, I look forward to playing another (never played WD1). Only problem was I had one mission that kept crashing near the end so i never got around to finishing but I did get over 50 hours of playtime and will probably just start over again because I really love this game… Expand

    the game runs much worse than GTA V while looking 6 years older,

    animations are constantly glitching up,

    physics are worse than in every mobile game,

    You fall and glitch through falls or get stuck in things,

    the game freezes and crashes sometimes,

    you constantly see the exact same people and cars next to each other like it's a world full of clones,

    the police is more stupid than in GTA 3,

    don't try to escape by hiding inside a large bush or behind some stuff like you could do in GTA 5 - even if nobody saw you going there, they just know where you are, run to your position and shoot you, even if there is 0% line of sight,

    When you send the police to arrest someone, they usually just end up walking against a wall on their way back to the police car,

    and so much more on.

    Yes the game has fun parts when it comes to the hacking or spying on others, and the story and characters are a little bit more likable then in your usual "We totally know that young people think is cool!"-Ubisoft game.

    But you just can't enjoy this, because you will constantly be frustrated by Ubisoft either having no clue about good game design, programming and quality management, or simply not caring about it.    … Expand

    Best vs GTA V in any terms of coolness. Very detailed game and updated vs 1st one which was great too. Really impressive fights and those hacking are cool

But the great improvements are characters: they're funny, they're hipsters, and the most important, that they aren't obnoxious and easy to listening their bla-bla-bla. Interface is also good, some puzzles are pretty challenging. Gameplay lets you to make a lot of funny ways to complete missions.
    I hope one day, Assassin's creed will be improved that way...

    Unlike the first game where multiplayer was kind of a mess, the sequel offers a pretty solid multiplayer experience. Playing Watch Dogs 2 co-op is definitely a blast, especially if you're experiencing the game with a friend.

    In the end, Watch Dogs 2 feels like an improvement over the previous game in the series. The characters are fun to play as and interact with, all of the hacking elements have a lot more depth and make more sense, and the world feels more alive and rich than ever before, design wise and graphics wise. However the game does suffer from mediocrity in regards to its shooting mechanics and stealth sections. Is it a fun game? Yeah, sure it is. Is it one of my games of the year? Not really.

    Hacking and stealth elements are so good in Watch Dogs 2 and as a whole the game is so much better than its predecessor that I managed to turn a blind eye to the fact that Dedsec members are annoying as hell. [01/2017, p.32]
