It feels like every Act is a single very long quest with one long road to follow with 3 different enemies... Seriously they could've just chained them all together without going back to town because they are all the same two areas with the same 3 types of monsters. Game in current state is worth max $10 or even f2p because there just no content. Take a random indi RPG game and it will have more monsters, maps and skills for $10/$20.

All the mini-bosses are the same except they deal another type of dmg ( poison, fire ) they all have the same directional attacks depending on the direction you face them.

Skill system is really bad they made the same mistake as Diablo 3, you only have like 3 or 4 builds to choose from ( for example, block, counter attack or crit for imperial ) compared to path of exile's 1000's of builds.

Also really really really bad loot system ( like diablo 3 ), there are only x mods that can possibly roll on an item with a small range. Blessing does help a little bit but I would've loved to see way more mods other than the basic ones like crit chance, crit damage, armour, health etc which in return would allow for more builds and gives this special feeling when you find a good item which I haven't had once in my whole play-through... Game would play 100% the same without any loot, just bonus stats on level up and choose which bonus stat you want and you have the same result.. Even Anthem has a better loot system and that's the worst I've ever seen I think.

Better endgame than Diablo 3 though... Which isn't that hard haha

    TLDR: Casual Diablo 3 Rip-Off

*Score is relative to game price/ content quantity / content quality

The game can be completed in 10 hours and endgame can be max out in 5 hours. This is unacceptable in Diablo-like loot&slash game that cost 60$. There's also no RPG element in the game, there's only linear upgrade for your ability. There's not even SHOP where player can buy and sell item.

My biggest issues is the voices, there was so many annoying player callouts , bad acting and bugs in the voice audio, it was a joke. In the first 5 hours of exploring this game I heard my characters voice change from female to male 4 times on 2 different characters, (What the !?!?! is that). The battle noises and callouts of the Dwarf and Elf are so annoying I had to turn voices volume down, but even that doesn't kill all the irritating laughs and stuff. The sound is a constant assault on your senses and it hard to like much with this constant irritation. It doesn't help that the female character look like the single mum with 5 kids smoking a ciggy outside your local pub of a tuesday, yeh there's no femme fatales or sexy badass warriors in this game, just annoying uggos.
The leveling is terrible , it's just so limiting. First your limited by skills being locked , then by not having anywhere near enough points, then by boredom. You don't sell your gear, you just give it away, removing (trading) one of my favorite part of most ARPGS i've played. Its a buggy undercooked bore fest . Get Inquisition Martyr, a good game.
One good thing is the graphics and performance, game world looks great an is 60 frames, but the reuse the same 3 environment 3 or 4 times each in the campaign, making that less of a win.

The only thing that can keep the game alive for some hours is the Local Coop and the Skill tree, this one is at least something that justifies the leveling of the characters.

As a game though, not so much. Maybe if the price tag was appropriate. Chaosbane lacks content, especially in the endgame segment. Not to speak of the bugs, the bad matchmaking and the loveless written and short story (~5-7h per Character, depending on your playstyle).

    Endgame:
    - 3 sets for each class (no "named" items as alternatives)
    - the specialization through the god tree and sets is unbalanced af
    - the modes get boring fast, maybe with a greater loot variety it'd be more rewarding.
    - ..or for example an xp driven progession post level cap for extra loot, item progession, enhanced god tree or something.

This comparison might seem weird, but in its current state the game reminds a bit of Anthem. Good gameplay in itself and nice looks, while almost everything else lacks depth and fine tuning. In my opinion it's not worth 50€, glad I bought it for less.

No way to create items, or buy items from an NPC. There are almost no NPC in game, there's basically nothing you can do, you can just slash mobs, that's it. No way to forge equip or customize anything, You just chose skills, equip what you find on the ground and kill stuff. That's it, repeat again and again, feels hard to stay awake after few hours.

    This game is sold as:
    - "AN XXL BESTIARY, With over 70 monsters". Seriously? To me it looks like there are about 6-7 monsters with different skins to look different, but with exactly the same behaviour.
    - "HIGH REPLAY VALUE". Really? Seems to run always on the same couple of maps

To me... this is just a BETA, a great beta though, with a lot of potential. But until this potential is fully released, don't waste your money. The scariest part is that they are already selling a season pass. Why? The released game is so empty that the new content should be provided for free (included in the purchase price of the original game).

Wait for the game to be finished or for the price to drop to 20$ (I guess will happen soon, looking at the reviews)

If you're not a Warhammer fan, go buy Grim Dawn, Diablo 2, 3, Diabo 2 Median XL, or Torchlight 2 for some recommendations. Hell, you can get them all for the price of this game. The glaring fact is... This game is too expensive. By a lot.

They even manage to botch the loot system. There's nothing to buy, you just dump all your loot on a guy who periodically gives you bonus points. And the gear upgrades are so incrementally small and frequent that you never notice any difference. Nothing's ever special because a slightly better version of that same thing is always 5 minutes away. It's a conveyor belt of 1% upgrades. If you set out to intentionally drain all joy out of the hack n' slash genre, this is about what you'd come up with. Expand

You know how difficult it was to play it for several hours to give an objective assessment. I can safely say that this is the second worst game of 2019 (the first game is Battlefield V). Absolutely boring, not beautiful, not dynamic, terrible sound effects, outdated graphics. All this - you will find in this game. If you like to hurt yourself, welcome to this game. A score of 2/10.

Save yourself the trouble. Wait 2 months till it goes on sale and buy yourself a copy. It is not worth 70 plus dollars for a 6 hour story mode and horrible itemization in a loot-based game.

It's a very mediocre game. It's very repetitive, both in environments and mobs. And the gear, which is crucial to a game like this, is really quite meh. Some of the skills are cool, but most are quite underwhelming. I've played it for probably 4 hours. I actually really like this game and it's only been 2 hours since i started playing (without any boosters etc.) with an Elven Ranger (1st. character i chose) and she's already at lvl 13. (good build for starters)
At the beginning of the tutorial you might have a feeling that the game starts off kinda slow, but i knew it was specifically designed that way so i just took it from there.. (As i recall, this was similar to Diablo 2 & 3 so we shouldn't complain about that) Now after 2 hours in, things are becoming faster, and harder which of course is only for the better..
Speaking of better, these few hours have greatly exceeded my expectations about this game (i did not play the beta etc.) but i will say this to all my friends and readers alike, play this game with an open mindset and don't compare it too much with Diablo, Torchlight or Grim Dawn etc. because if you can't detach yourself from it, you might eventually be somewhat disappointed.
So after these few hours i'm yet to encounter any bugs (small, big, or crippling) (while using a Xbox 360 controller) and i will also say that the sound/music is really great, the graphics are dark, gritty and gloomy (very nice), it has some physics and of course tons of blood and gore! (yet it always stays perfectly tasteful)
The game is really easy and fun to pick up, and has so many cool features which you can freely unlock and upgrade as soon as you level up (still depending on requirements of course).
The character building (attributes, skills, equipment stats etc. are all easily comprehensible (a bit diablo lite esque), yet the game also offers a welcomed crafting/boosting mechanic that allows you to further improve your character's stats.
You can also trade (instead of selling) no longer/unwanted stuff for bonus experience/upgrades and in some cases rare items etc.
The story is very well implemented, but don't expect true greatness such as Diablo 3 has to offer because you need to consider the amount of time and resources Blizzard has compared to Eko Software. (no need to draw a picture there)
All in all, i'm pleasantly surprised about this game and i hope in time the reviews get better and the sales will go up as well, so maybe a worthy sequel could be due in a year or two (who knows)?

To conclude, i will happily recommend this game to anyone with an open mindset who's willing to play, and keep doing so even after the 2 hour refund mark. (and hopefully the devs will not abandon this game any time soon..)
Giving it a personal thumbs up and a score of 8.0/10

In Warhammer: Chaosbane, there is only dull combat. Use two or three favorite abilities to kill hordes of same-looking enemies, marvel at bad animations and identical corridors, and try not to lose your mind. Even cooperative mode, which usually makes everything better, is a boring chore.
