    It is actually very solid well made and well polished. I think in all fairness it is 9 rather than 10, but I just want other people to appreciate it more. It has a lot of potential min-maxing X-com squad which when done efficiently makes steamrolling enemies extremely satisfying.     Poor game performance but very Fun indeed. İ hope fix that problems soon. Dont look steam rates. Only trolls and twitch drop babes.

    Loved Xcom games, loved 40k....and I love this game! The Twitch drop items are very basic and don't use any of them. The game looks, sounds and feels great. I'd recommend watching some YouTube playthroughs and make up your own minds as to whether it's the game for you .

    Amazing realization of wh40k in an xcom style. First 40k game where models look like like tabletop minitiatures in terms of quality. Great succsessor to 1998 Chaos gate. Best videogame realizaton of wh40k since Dawn of war 1,2. Feels that people who made it love wh40k and original Chaos gate.

    The actual game here is really good, one of the best 40k video games for a long time. Actually production values with a decent story and solid gameplay. The interface looks a lot like XCOM but you can't play it in the same way - aggression is required.     Chaos Gate captures the Warhammer 40k atmosphere really well with a good one
    Story presentation that features many great cutscenes. The powerfully staged battles are accompanied by a great Warhammer soundtrack.
    In the extensive campaign you take command of the Gray Knights. The great character classes can also be adapted in many ways and the talent trees are also very extensive.    Chaos Gate captures the Warhammer 40k atmosphere really well with a good one

    In the extensive campaign you take command of the Gray Knights.
    The great character classes can also be adapted in many ways and the talent trees are also very extensive.
    Furthermore, there are also many upgrade options for our ship, the Baleful Edict, which is the linchpin for our missions or character management.
    The game also offers an in-game glossary in which all terms/designations are described in German in a way that is easy to understand.

    There are also a few things that can still be improved such as the balance and also the wound system as the days that a Gray Knight is injured is a bit too long.

    Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters has turned out to be a really great game for me.
    The short and crisp missions play really fast and very brutal.

    Really like the game so far (30+hrs)
    I love turn-base tactical, W40k lore and they did a really good job here :
    - various classes with various way to play each one of them - skills tree choice impacting game-play very hard - lot of different gear and play-style for each classes depending on what gear you equip - campaign is catchy, from the start, lots of mysterious events, the deeper    Really like the game so far (30+hrs)
    I love turn-base tactical, W40k lore and they did a really good job here :
    - various classes with various way to play each one of them
    - skills tree choice impacting game-play very hard
    - lot of different gear and play-style for each classes depending on what gear you equip
    - campaign is catchy, from the start, lots of mysterious events, the deeper you go in the Grand Father lair the more you ask yourself how seriously deep the system is infected...
    - variety of foes (at start, your Grey Knights seem a little bit squishy, being shred by little cultists with small guns, that the major inconvenience I had in the game so far, but after a few hours, your team start to have more gear and unlock skills which make your like way more easier (and the cultist are no longer a problem :p)

    I feel like this game is worth to try if you are incline to enjoy good ol' tactical.    … Expand

    Have had a pretty solid time with this thing so far! Only 10 hours in, but there's a lot of depth to it and I'm really enjoying where it seems to be going.

    This is one of the best Warhammer games ever made. The XCOM of Warhammers and you can spend days playing it. I highly recommend.

    This game has two flaws. First one is that you basically need to learn to play it yourself or on the internet (managing your ship, ability builds, positive and negative effects etc.). Second one is that you'll see the same maps from some point of the game (with new enemies and missions but still). Otherwise it's really enjoyable, especially for that price.

    Best Warhammer 40000 game. Must have if you are fan of this universe. Must have if you are fan of tactic games. For others it will be 7-8 score game because of many same missions.

    A damn enjoyable game so far! Everything seems to be on point (apart from some of the updates, why do the devs always manage to mess this up?) some of the missions get a bit repetitive but it's not too bad. This has to be the best 40k game I've played in years and I'm enjoying the crap out of it

    Everything is fine, except for a few key flaws, in my opinion, so there are only 8. About the disadvantages: 1st - I had to look for a workaround to buy in Russia, 2nd - The choice of weapons is small even compared to the 1998 game. Well, the musical accompaniment in the 1998 game was better.

    What feels fun at first becomes repetitive after about 10 hours, with intense pressure of do limited resource management. Some may think this is the appeal of the game, but to me it brings more stress than fun

    Game is pretty fun, some janky UI choices and some of the animations are very junior. The vibrant tech blue of the HUD is a little overstimulating at times, and some what confusing. Was surprised at some of the stiffness and lack of facial animations in some cutscenes, especially since the voice acting is pretty good. I love the stylization of the game, I think this is the first one of theGame is pretty fun, some janky UI choices and some of the animations are very junior. Vibrant colors and big shapes really make me hope that they will make more games goin forward. Seriously made me take another look at old 40k modles… Expand

    I really looked forward to playing this one. I loved the new XCOMs, I've played them many many times. This game tried to mimic but failed horribly. It's just so damned repetitive. Everything in it is repetitive. After playing the exact same missions over and over again which characters that feel exactly the same ... I just couldn't do it anymore.

    That might be the worst part but there are many others. They took out the RNG attacks but threw in much worse random systems: warp surges and random campaign events.
    Lastly, there were the many times I moved my character to a position and the game decides you're going to stay there forever. No more movement, you can't even warp out! Enjoy finishing the mission with only 3 characters.
    It's all so frustrating for such a bland game.

    XCOM in Warhammer. While a mostly fun game with a interesting enough story it does get extremely frustrating. 60-70% of the mission is enemy movement and actions. It gets extremely frustrating when Warp gates are summoning reinforcements every couple turns and the enemy keeps using get extra reinforcements cards. The real annoyance you run into a group they all move, you get a token actionXCOM in Warhammer. While a mostly fun game with a interesting enough story it does get extremely frustrating. 60-70% of the mission is enemy movement and actions. The real annoyance you run into a group they all move, you get a token action point back and then they move again, summon 2 adds, adds move, next guy summons 2 adds, adds move. So you spent 2 minutes moving your 4 Space Marines but the enemy mobs on fast mode takes 4-5 minutes to move their people, summon zombies, channel abilities and pick one random guy to just wail on even though it puts them in a horrible position. And that's just 1 group if you manage to have another wander in on the fight then you might as well go make dinner and a drink while the enemy moves.… Expand

    i am once again shocked by how much the Warhammer universe churns out mediocre time wasters as computer games. The graphics and movement is clunky. Everything is too cluttered. The controls, although similar to XCOM are not neat and tidy and easy on the eye. The scripting is charmless.

    It is an average attempt at amateur computer game creation. At times it is plain boring and in    i am once again shocked by how much the Warhammer universe churns out mediocre time wasters as computer games. The graphics and movement is clunky. Everything is too cluttered. The controls, although similar to XCOM are not neat and tidy and easy on the eye. The scripting is charmless.

    It is an average attempt at amateur computer game creation. At times it is plain boring and in comparison to XCOM, a game whose style and gameplay it has copied, it looks poor (like think good for 1990s as opposed to 2020s), it is poorly scripted, voice acting is sterile, and actually pretty fricking boring. I bought it on steam, I'm simply not interested in playing much more and I will try and refund it. Far out Warhammer, a company of your huge asset base should actually team up with a AAA developer and properly make a decent game for once instead of churning out mass produced crap.    … Expand

    So there's a turn based battle. The game is designed the way it wants you to rush, cause the longer it lasts the harder it becomes. Ok, no problem. Your characters have 3AP for action, attack, ability. If you move outside of enemy zone it's ok. Now, whenever you enter it the turn is the same, but all your characters APs are set to 3 again, the enemy noticed you so the skirmish starts. The problem is you dont know exactly when you breach this zone. If you breach while the rest of your team is 3 moves away you are **** up, the fight is gonna be longer and more demanding. So instead of fast rush, you need to proceed slowly, moving every character by 1 move. Come on game, you want me to rush. Now, I'm wasting my time to adjust to this stupid feature. After 1 y from release, how hard can it be to make this zone visible? I dont want to waste time on save/load or count the tiles:

    How hard can it be to redesign marine management to be faster instead of moving mouse back and forth? If you want the hint just check jrpg like FFIV from 30y ago.
    A lot of stuff in this game is rng, even the loot u can get. And still you need to pay for it :) So you are in 30-50% game and you still have basic grenade although you invested in getting better one? Tough luck bro. Try smth else.
    There is random bonus condition for each fight. If you take it and not fulfill it you will be punished. My favourite is to finish the fight in basic gear. So if you sweat to collect your bling bling gear and want to have fun from it, instead you just need to switch it for crappy one in your tragically slow equipment menu before fight and do the opposite after the fight. What kind of sadist should you be to figure this out it' s gonna be funny?
    You want to throw grenade for a 100th time? Awesome, check this cool animation. Can I turn it off? No, why would you like it?
    Can I speed up the fight? No, why would you like it?
    The list is sadly longer.
    And it's a pity, cause game looks fabulous, the plot is nice and the overall design is good. There are just these small, iritating, easy to fix "features" which made it very unpleasant.    … Expand

    The tactical part works great, and when you're not fighting, there's something to do on the ship as well. Warp drive repair, shield upgrades, barracks expansion. The bombarded planets look nice, the models could have been given a bit more space. But once you put the helmet on in the barracks, the epic feeling is back. [Issue#319]

    Warhammer 40K Chaosgate: Daemonhunters is a good evolutionary path for the genre and for the Warhammer franchise that usually deals with tabletop battles. If you like more isolated combat like in the glorious Firaxis title and you like Warhammer 40K then this is a perfect combination for you because - Emperor Protects!
