    Although I did not buy nor never intend to buy this game, I still have a valid reason to rate it 0/10. One of my favorite games from my childhood has become completely unplayable from this release, as in I can't even buy it if I wanted to.

I had a huge amount of respect for Blizzard as a company, as you could feel the passion of the developers in the gameplay. Although I always preferred Warcraft 2 to Warcraft 3, I still loved the third game and I thought it was perfect as is. Now, because of this poorly-disguised cash grab, that entire experience has become unavailable. Congratulations Blizzard-Activision, you are now officially supporting pirating of your old software, when the community is clearly demonstrating they would have paid hard-earned money for a true remaster. I'll be downloading Warcraft 2 and 3 from a torrent site tonight just to support the decay of your company. Shame on you    … Expand

    I created an account on this website just to leave a 0 for this game. I am a very loyal Blizzard customer and purchased the game in 2018 the day it was announced. The game they have released is nothing like the one they showed at Blizzcon. I won't speculate as to why this is, because many others already have. But the quality on this product is the lowest of any Blizzard game EVER.

    To start with what I think one of the most egregious things with this “game” is the EULA for custom games. They have essentially claimed anything you submit and give up all “moral rights” to it should they decide to take your ideas and the whole mod for their own use. They spout they want to endorse creativity, only to kick the community in the teeth. A big part of this is to believed that it’s from games like Dota and LoL escaping through their fingers. Older Blizzard would’ve hired the guy who had such a great idea like they have for many of the well known creative heads in the company today. A plethora missing features has plagued not only Reforged but the old client as well. To be brief, there are things like clans, ladder, old balancing, and much more. Even for people who wanted to just be with the old game are affected by all of this. Possibly (haven’t tested it myself) there is also no offline play as well.

    You can argue performance issues are fixable and they are, it still doesn’t excuse with the amount of bugs, frame drops, texture issues, and crashes that have riddles everyone’s games big or small. I stopped playing initially after a few hours due to instant random defeat screens and having to play missions over and over.

    The high quality that was promised hasn’t been met. A shallow veil of lawyer speak is what keeps this company from going to court. A lot of the cutscenes were to be redone and retold. New missions and voice acting performances to help bring it into the new World of Warcraft lore. It’s all not present. The one cutscene they did with in game models was so laughably awkward it looked like an intern animator was the only person tasked to create it. JoseBV on Youtube has done so much more to create the Warcraft feel than a triple “AAA” company has with their own property. Many of this by the way still falsely advertised on their store page.

    There are a lot other issues too that could be written. It’s clear to see that Blizzard gave this game a shoe string budget, doing as little as possible when they found out that they actually had to put work in to match the initial promises given. Over the slew of failings and poor decisions in the past few years, this couldn’t be more obvious of how fallen from grace this company has become then the release of this “reforged” title.    … Expand

    Warcraft 3 reforged not only is a poor recreation of everything that made the original so great, it also comes with the neutering of the original masterpiece that was Warcraft 3. This is a poor attempt to cash in on nostalgia and make people rebuy a game many were still playing. Deactivated my battle.net account RIP Blizzard.

    Por ejemplo, que era un "footman"? Un soldadito, con un escudo muy grande, y una pequeña espada, pues se cargaron esa idea.

    Las voces, por lo menos la de español latino, son horrendas, la de Arthas por ejemplo, totalmente falta de la "firmeza" que tenía originalmente. Los acólitos perdieron esa voz característica como de degenerado tenebroso, y también los ogros perdieron esa voz intimidante y los trolls esa voz tan burlona.

    Y eso no es lo peor, por que aun ignorando todo el apartado estético, la parte jugable también cambió para peor.
    Las campañas están mucho mas fáciles, y no es una sensación, directamente falta torres donde antes estaban, o los zigurats por ejemplo, están en su lugar, pero no están upgradeados, por lo que no pueden atacar.

    También cambiaron la física, al momento de colocar ciertos edificios pegados, ahora las unidades pueden pasar por entre medio, que era una mecánica básica al jugar competitivo.
    Por lo que ahora si te enfrentas a un Orco, su blademaster se puede pasear por toda tu base, pasando entre edificios, masacrando a tus peones, eso cambia muchísimo la experiencia de juego y a mi entender la empeora mucho.

    Una decepción muy grande, solo lo puedo comparar a "Nuke Dukem Forever", es un juego que parece salió 10 años tarde.    … Expand

Unfortunately Blizzard has gone the way of Bethesda and become so money-hungry that they put out this horrific crap just for a cash-grab.     To me this is no different. A set of suits decided to boost 4th quarter sales for 2019 and shove this out the door clearly not ready for primetime.     They had the chance to make this as awesome as the original was but failed miserably. As a result, I have to give this game a 0.
    Reasons:
    -Bugs
    -Missing content
    -False Advertising
    -Refusing refunds

    If they fix these issues I will revisit and rescore it but I don't see Blizz doing this. It's safe to say that I do not recommend this game at any cost..

    The game has a lot of glitches, UI is not updated, they just change the look of the characters, but no added cutscenes . And the multiplayer disconnects.

    This game is unacceptable. Not only did they manage to destroy the entire interface, they decided to actually remove features profiles, non animated profile pictures, clans, lan, single player custom games, voice lines, and custom campaigns. There's probably more that im just missing.

    The entire client design has been a downgrade from the original. The current design could have been made by a student in a high school graphic design class. The chat actually covers up a majority of the screen when open and blends in with the lobby screen for custom games making it hard to passively read. The original commands to mute,whisper,ban, add friends is all different and more challenging.

    Then they forced everyone to use this client regardless if you bought reforged or not.    … Expand

    The summary for this game mentions a thorough visual overhaul. Unfortunately this is not the case and this game is almost a complete carbon copy of the classic edition which i still have on CD.

    This game is not worth it at it's current $30 or $40 price tag especially if you have the old version.     There was once a time Blizzard would delay a game sometimes for months to get it right. If Blizzard had delayed this disaster to get it correct then I think the reviews here would be mostly positive. Its even worse that the original Warcraft 3 game also suffered, I was shown priceless diamonds what I got feels like a worthless fake.

    I was expecting a updated cinema experience, a bug game, freedom to customize and play modded games on the new graphics without worrying but all I got was new models the same cinema experience and more problems then I had with the old one.

As someone who has been playing classic Warcraft 3 for a long time, I don't see any improvements at all in this "Reforging" process and if given the choice to buy either the classic version or the Reforged one I can confidently say I would buy the classic one to avoid all the bugs and simply unfinished content.

    The state of the game right now has less features than the classic and their made sure you can't play the classic anymore! Not just not go online anymore, the flat out overwrite the game on your hard disk.
    So it a huge downgrade combined with a major skin pack for 30$, this is just fraud!

    And came the 29th of January, and I am so sad to say that this is a mess. I will only talk about multiplayer, the campaign seems cool but this is not the core of the game so :

    You cant join something like 20% of the games (you have to kill the game and launch it again)
    You can be disconnected during the game for no reasons
    Tournament are missing
    No player profile No matchmaking : I haven’t played just a single game versus someone of my level
    No stats
    No classic voices
    No channels
    I tried to link my classic account with 2k games but this is not working
    Pathfinding of bugued So I wanted to go back to tft classic waiting they patch all of this. But they have just delet the game : you cant even download tft classic and go on old battlenet.

    I am wondering if this « reforged » wasn’t an excuse to close old bnet server and make some money.

    It's not fair to cut so much of the original game. Please make it better or just bring back all that was already in the game. Obviously everyone agrees that you did not obviously finished the remaster... Give us an announcement that you will bring back this game to its glory... Please ;(

    Classic bait and switch. Should have canceled my order when i saw the beta, but thought the postponed game would get things fixed, and i was fine with that. Looks like they just gave up on everything they wanted to do except updating the graphics.

This piece of trash is one of those. I been looking forward to another WC RTS for over a decade and if this was just a HD mod for the orignal I would have been happy. However that is not what Activison-Blizzard (A-B) decided to do. Not only did they lie and keep lying in there adversiment on how the game looks, not only is the game unfinished and rushed. No this game had the audacity to take out featuers both from the "remastered" version as well as from the orignal version. Seeminlgy in an attempt to force people to buy the new version old fixes got broken, featuers like **** unite shadows taken out of the classic game and made "reforged only". That is **** and absolutly disgusts me. This was the last game I wanted to get after Blizzards **** show with Hong Kong. I had pre ordered (looking back a very very very stupid idea) already so why not. It was a game I loved, with many mods I loved. What could go wrong. Well apprently a lot when we talking about A-B. On the topic of mods, not only do many not work anymore with the old version, but A-B still butthurt that THEY slept on Dota and didn't make it into a game until others did seems to still hurt them and there wallets. So now all Costume Maps are owned by them and free to exploite with zero compensation. Disgusting. A-B is one step short (Microtransactions) from having done everything wrong. That is all is before the technicalle issues, limitations to one profile and much more. I am fighting for a refund because they trying to steal my money as they didn't deliver what they promised. My lawyer will now deal with that.

    So **** Activison Blizzard, this game is an insult to the legacy of Blizzard, Warcraft and Fas. Do not buy this game.    … Expand

    This product isn't worthy of Blizzard's pedigree. The only way this remaster has improved the game is by enhancing some graphics. Everything else has been downgraded. Not to mention anything made with the map editor belongs to Blizzard now. Custom maps were the main reason to play Warcraft 3 and now there is no point for talented mapmakers to do anything without their work being seized.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
