    The game is not what I expected it to be and also does not meet the quality standard that I wanted it to be. As a fan of Blizzard games I am disappointed.

    I'am scared what a crap DIV will be judging by quality of this game. If they can' deliver simple remaster how can they expect us to believe DIV will be even good (I'm not hoping for great) game. We have to stop lying to ourselves. They aren't the same people who stood behind Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo II. I am so sorry for warcraft 3 veterans who played original WC3 and waited for a new one for over a decade only do get **** hard by Blizzard, This was a chance for Blizzard to have a **** ton of new players and money, but I guess they were too lazy to even put already done cutscene from the cuilling mission back in 2018Damn I am so disappointed in this game, so much potential wasted out. There are so much problems with this game and I could list them all day, and I really think that the game isnt worth my time, also I think this game shouldn't be pirated at all, really it is time consuming and it is not worth it to crack this **** of a game, I really hope that they will add cutscenes and fixed graphics and broken promisses in the near future, If they do that I would be more than happy to spend my 30$ on something that I love and that has promissed to us in the first place...… Expand

    This is the most blatant money grab I've seen by Blizzard and Activision. The game is terrible, largely a downgrade, would have been better to have re-released the original with no changes. This isn't the game they hyped and it sure isn't the one they promised. Stay away from this steaming pile.

    That was a really great idea to make Warcraft 3: Reforged, however, now we can see that it is failed. I am very disappointed with the game due to a huge amount of lags, bugs, and lies that Blizzard presented us with the current release. I think that it was a big mistake to make the release with such poor and raw game.

    It definitely is an unfinished product, I am quite lenient but was dissapointed.. and i'm going to give a warranted review worthy of $60 AUD...

    - The Horce Orc Prologue was new, decent enough to play through. But then there is ONLY the human campaign out for now, considering having a TEAM at one of the most profound companys. Felt like it was done just going through the motions of what the original was for the sake of it. Weak sauce.

    - "there will be hotkey configuration in game" -> No hotkey configuration in game lol. You got standard (yeah.. i'm not swinging all the way to "P" to create a peasant...). You got Grid , you can't custom ANY key though, i might of got used to but no i'm not using R, For attack move. So here we are.. back to the old days of "custom" needing to RELY on THE COMMUNITY.. FOR A PRESET so i can play the game to my liking.. well.. to as best it can be. I'm NOT going through ALL the keys. So i suffice with what QWER is, learn it and use for the short duration i'll play this game... I mean it's only 2020.. no hotkey settings in options is, very weak sauce.

    - I liked seeing how the orc peons still use an "AXE" to repair or build . It's like they had given up on developments months ago. Weak sauce.

    - I've noticed the pathing to be a bit odd at times, There was a clear gap between building and forest tress, but for some reason riflemen went ALL around.. ??... weak sauce.

    The best score is a money value, so overall for such a Reforge', id say it's just worth AUD$20-25 at the most.. (15-20 USD)    … Expand

    They lied about the cut scenes and game crashes a lot. The graphics are bad and it's hard to distinct between units during competitive game play. The voice actors are the same one from the old Game. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF **** GAME, IT IS A **** SCAM. I HATE YOU ACTIVISION.

Therefore, this re-release has done something I've never seen before: it reduced the quality of its base game. Most remasters are separate entities; you could, for example, play Baldur's Gate, if you don't like Enhanced Edition. However, Activision Blizzard went ahead and replaced Warcraft 3.

    This is very sad situation - corporate greed killed this game. The number of features which were false advertising is immense. The old version had much more to offer (shadows, unit animations, all the social features, etc...). Blizzard has killed any creativity with their new EULA and not allow for refunds with helpful users getting a ban. What a disaster of a game...

    Player of war 3 since day one, was top 50 in european ladder in 2006 - 2009. Huge fan of RTS, was looking for this one since ages... But damn ! reforged is awfull, it's like playing a beta game, and more than that, they KILLED the old warcraft 3 !!! you can't launche the old game anymore and play RoC nor TFT, nor playing on the old battle.net.     Let's see:
    -Cut all the promised new cutscenes
    -Cut all the new english voice acting
    -Cut out promised new story content
    -No custom keybinds
    -New nice looking models/icons/effects/animations. Really pleasing to the eye. (I like them, but essentially the core of the game was cut out so nobody need it without the old good stuff. They want 30$ for a new skin/model pack on the same old game)
    -New unit models have less creative animations that look identical to each other. Some units that had multiple attack animations in Classic WC3 left with more animation variety than their Reforged counterparts.
    -New localization. Foreign dubs which are inferior and compulsory, can NOT be changed back
    -New Arthas vs Illidan cutscene looks terrible. Like a cheap anime fight.
    -Intentional False advertisement (Cutscenes is not at all like in The Culling Campaign Trailer, ect.)
    -No more custom campaign functionality (A lot of good campaigns was made and polished by fans throughout all the years since original game release and to this day. Some do have voice acting, custom models, effects ect.)
    -No more Cross-region play. Custom game list is no longer global. (You can't play custom games with players from other realms/regions meaning it’s much harder to find players and fill game lobbies)
    -New acceptable policy. The world editor’s EULA has been changed. In short, the custom game scene has a lot of new limitations and a lot of older maps are going to be killed off.
    -Copyrighted material from third parties is not allowed in any custom maps. (Which means a multitude of older maps, such as Anime Fight, DBZ Tribute, Pimp My Mario, ect, are now banned AND cannot be remade)
    -Custom maps now have a report button so blizz can ban maps and ban people hosting them
    -All ownership of custom games in Reforged belongs to Blizz and not the creators, and blizz are not required to compensate them in any way if they use it. Any custom game made in Warcraft 3: Reforged cannot be replicated anywhere else. This gives Blizz the power to shut down any standalone versions of custom games made in Reforged.
    -Censorship in maps and game names, for example a lobby called “booty bay” cannot be hosted, even though it’s the name of an official WC3 map, etc.)

    I assume this will lead to people pirate old ver the game, patch revert and use private servers to play maps and campaigns they love.

    To me this looks like the end of a long, fun and creative wc3 custom maps era. One of the most creative gaming communities destroyed by new policies. Blizz killed their gold eggs hen.

    -No more clans, profiles, friend list, ladder (ranked matchmaking, stats, auto tournaments).
    -No more LAN functionality
    -No more offline games versus the AI
    -Can no longer have more than 1 account
    -No more Beautiful UI/menus (in reforged client the menus feel sluggish and less optimised. The chat box overlaps the menus, atmospheric 3D campaign backgrounds are gone, etc.)
    -The old client is gone, even if you don't own Reforged you're forced into replacing it if you ever connect to battlenet. (Classic will go to the new menu and chat system (No Ref graphics)
    -Classic graphics in Ref client look worse (Miss shadows, saturation is off, miss spells/effects)
    -No more "/commands"
    -Removed the Dryad's "I'm so wasted" joke voice line, and probably more other units lines.
    -Removed custom game filter
    -No more built-in auto tournament function
    -No MMR system
    -No more Reign of Chaos balance for the RoC campaign (changed to TFT)
    -The end of match summary doesn't tell you useful info like before
    -No more 3D animated portraits in B.net
    -No more 3D animated campaign backgrounds
    -No more The Frozen Throne menu screen
    -No more B.net News section
    -No more cross-chat with Diablo 2 players

    I hope they will add/restore all of the good things via updates/patches, and then maybe these games (at least old one) will be playable again.

    I hope someday we will find out what happened during development of Reforged. The story of what led to such atrocities and abominations. What went wrong? Oversight? Laziness? Time constraints? Plain unconcern? Greed?

    Release of this game is finally convinced me that this is the end of old Blizzard that cared and respected themsethemselves, their work, people that play and love their games. Now it is Activision-Blizzard. RIP dear heroes of the past. Unlimited units with selection, is one of those things for ease of life. I dont really mind blizz try own rights to custom maps, as it is THEIR editor they are being made on. But when it came to no nice    0 with respect to my experience and from others.

    Loading screen bugs and the such. It was a very uncared for development. I am glad i could really send a review to blizzard directly, via a refund.

    For $45 AUD. Lack of cutscenes, bugs, NO single player custom games (i wanted to cheat to test out the new LOOKING units). Vs ai whose hero could lvl to 100. .. couldnt type, lol, no cheats allowed in MY OWN game....

    The campaign... theres just no point... the saying gameplay is better than graphics held strong here and just for $45.. go play original if want campaign...

    With no MMR or ladder rank in place, couldnt care for.. that either.    … Expand

    I literally just made an account to review this. I was just asked yesterday by a friend what my favorite game of all time was and I thought about it and said "warcraft 3!" - was even excited that I had gotten an email saying the reforged version came out and told her how awesome that must be. Guess I look like a fool now, huh? F*** you corporate greed.

    The unannounced change in EULA stating that custom maps are the intellectual property of Blizzard is untenable. Custom maps were the cornerstone of the old StarCraft/WarCraft products upon which their communities were built and upon which they endured. Until now.

    The only saving grace for me was that Blizzard did process my refund (manual ticket) fairly promptly (14 hours or so.)

    Forces you to download reforged even if you don't own it. False advertisement on cut-scenes. Took away from base game to force you to go to new game. New game is filled with bugs. Reforged even took away more features in general. They both killed their old game and replaced it with a worse version.

I'm not giving them another cent until they fix this game and apologize, and I'm certainly never pre-ordering from them ever again regardless of what they do now.     €40 for updated character models and nothing else ???? Absolute of a joke this game is, I sent out a refund after 15minutes of gameplay. Biggest lie and spit in the face of their fans, they should get sued for it !!!

    2. Персонажи в целом неплохо выглядят, но вот npc (жители городов) замыленные, как будто просто сгладили полигоны на текстурах. 3. Озвучка героев на мой русский язык просто ужасна.     6. Есть косяки по сюжету в разных моментах в прологе. Посмотрим, что дальше будет. 7. Понизил бы ещё оценку ниже, но надеюсь, что разработчики возьмутся за дело и исправят всё.
    8. Хотел вернуть деньги и это очень просто, но покупал я её по карте которую давно заблокировал. Поэтому надеюсь, что патчи будут выходить и исправят всё что нужно.    … Expand

And I was even hoping to get a bunch of my friends back into it, so we could have Huge multiplayer battles that lasted hours, or play some custom co-op content.. But Blizzard has taken that all away from me.. And I was even hoping to get a bunch of my friends back into it, so we could have Huge multiplayer battles that lasted hours, or play some custom co-op content.. But Blizzard has taken that all away from me..     Reforged? Remaster? Disaster. I made an account just to leave this review here. The classic game was actually made to look worse by disabling the shadows graphical option, unless you purchase Reforged. I feel that this is especially important, because no matter how you spin it, Blizzard has purposefully worsened an old product, blatantly retroactively removed a feature that was part of theReforged? But it also confirms what they were trying to do by merging the two versions and force downloading gigabytes of Reforged files for those who don’t own and have no intention of owning it. They've also made hosting many of the most popular maps that made the game popular in the first place, and alive for so long, a bannable offence, so no more maps referencing copyrighted IPs. Their excuse is that they made it to protect themselves, but it's been like this for 17 years with no problems. There’s also silly censorship in the game, and they’re purging their forums. If they truly wished best for their most loyal customers, and had any sort of dignity, they'd have left it as was. If I could go into negative numbers in the score then I would've, because aside from this being it's own disaster, where no mental gymnastics can justify a quarter of its price, it also intentionally, retrospectively ruins the original. I could go on, and on with what's so bad about it, and the bad keep coming. Likewise, I could go on about Blizzard scamming people by false advertising Blizzcon, the Blitzchung controversy, appropriation of publicly funded tournament prize poll, the list doesn't end. It is unbelievable that this is Blizzard, but it is and has been for a long time now, and I was already fooling myself when I stood in the line, in rain and night, for hours, waiting for the store to open and start selling Diablo 3. I got two copies, including the collector's, believing to the bitter end. Diablo 4 doesn't show much promise either. But! Let me be clear: I'm being fair in my score, due to their past offences, I fart in their general direction. Reforged earns the the score of 0 well on its own merits, or lack thereof.… Expand

    Bought this game on the pre release and am completely outraged on the final result that was delivered, on the exception of the new models everything else in this game is way worst then in the original version, both in performance and basic quality of the game.     The "improvements" barely work, the graphical errors are more common than never, I don't think I've played more than two hours without crashes, the multiplayer has a lot of troubles and half the time it's not even playable; buggy, glitchy and disappointing overall... Still waiting my refund.

    So those old school graphics that i LOVE and honestly are the charm of the game, (WoW, TBC and Wrath ware all made inspired in those.) now fell off and weird as I cant even turn on the shadows and character models looks to be floating and misplaced.

    Publics vanity, together with the companies greed, created this monstrosity that murdered the game i was playing for more then 15years. And I ask WHY?!?!
    Fan, I Ask you, Did you truly need new graphics? are you that vain?

    In the artistic part you have to create or update new cinematics such as the trailer, improve the gameplay, I have read the professional WC3 player 'Happy', the complaint is that the graphic section is very confusing colors are very difficult to distinguish and the mobility of the mouse is slow to professional gamers of wc3, I hope they fix it.

    I have being playing Warcraft 3 since 2006, it was the first game I ever played on the computer and I still play it. I have being wating for a remaster for this game since I was in highschool, and the remaster came barely functional, and worse, it took the classic game that I have being playing for more than a decade away from me.

    Warcraft 3: Reforged is a newer version from the original Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos but removes most features AND doesn't add jack except higher rez graphics. Not even worth 1/10 as when it comes down to it, it's just a $40 re-skin pack.

Just as movies can't get away with "we'll fix it after its out of theaters" games shouldn't be allowed to excuse that either. 4. The biggest issue for me is the changes to the Terms of Service (ToS). The major fun of Warcraft 3 was the custom map scene. The new ToS state all custom content a person makes becomes property of Blizzard / Activision (no credit to creator is obligated). In addition any "third party" designs, as I interpret "themes" such as "Pokemon Battle" "Anime Fight" etc. are banned. These do not necessarily contain third party graphics only themes, such as names and plot. There is no reason to make these changes other than the greed of a company in fear of missing out on the ability to steal the hard work and ingenuity of others. Even if you do not plan to make custom maps yourself, this change is policy will result in a major decrease in the number and variety of maps, which will also lead to a decrease in the number of players. An unfortunate effect of this policy change is that is also carries over to the original game, so those who wish to play WC3 cannot even escape to an older copy. Simply put, even with the superior graphics, the resulting downgrades leave this as an inferior product to what it is supposed to replace and Blizzard specifically downgraded the older version. This may cause the appearance of equality in features and performance, leaving only the graphics being the difference, but any player who has played WC3 originally will know how this game is not only inferior but also ruined an existing favorite game as a result. If you have purchased this or pre-ordered, I suggest not opening it. I was able to easily get a refund, likely do the never opening the game on my profile. Others who tested the game on their profile have not had as much success.… Expand

    Really waited for this one, i loved wc3 so much when i was a kid. It almost seems as a spit to the face of old blizzard by new blizzard at this point. Game industry is falling when it comes to big companies, almost all of them managed to fail their users.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
