    It is too gorgeous to rate just 10 points, so I rate 100 points to W3R. Unfortunately there are no 100 points in Metacritic webpage, I put 0 point over 10 points to show my respects to this game.

    How do you screw this up? It's supposed to be a remaster but you made it worse...how it's like working out but getting less muscular and weaker.

    That's horrible, unforgivable and just disrespectful. Lags in main menu, wasted original visual style, lost custom campaigns and maps, bad new russian voice over. This "Reforge" is worth every drop of hatred they receive. I can't believe that blizzard, a company that made my happy childhood with Diablo II, Warcraft III and WoW, has fallen so low.

    Good, battle.net 30 1.0 chat system (you can no longer use commands such as /f l, /join; information on how many players are currently playing; list of communal channels; battle.net 30 news section; overall the chat system lost its’ soul)
    Beautiful UI/menus (in reforged client the menus feel sluggish and less optimised; the chat box overlaps the menus, atmospheric 3D campaign backgrounds are gone, etc.)
    Creative freedom in custom games (the WE EULA has been changed, adding a lot of limitations - everything you create now fully belongs to Blizzard, read more in other topics; censorship in maps and game names, for example a lobby called “booty bay” can not be hosted, even though it’s the name of an offical WC3 map, etc.)
    Classic graphics in Reforged client look worse (shadows are missing, saturation is off, some spells/effects are missing)
    RoC campaign is now using TFT balancing

    Features that were available during Blizzcon 2018 and have been cut during the latest updates:

    Arranged teams
    Reconnection via GProxy
    Overall game stability (desyncs or crashes would almost never happen, now custom games are plagued with both)
    Bot features (only going to list some of them):
    Online lobby list and in-game chat, available from a browser (what games are hosted right now, how many players are in a lobby, etc.)
    Competitive custom games (auto-balance and matchmaking based on ELO or empirical algorithms specialized for each custom map)
    Ability to kick/ban trolls (after the removal of bots they added the ban functionality, but you would have to re-ban the person every session)
    Better ping/latency
    Protection against hacks and maphacks
    Anti-spam protection
    Automatic replay saving and archiving with easy search from a website
    Game/replay archive
    Probably many more things that I can’t recall at this moment

    Problems with the game itself?
    bugs, crashes, (missions start with losing)
    stiff animations, graphical improvements as a whole feel weak
    removed the blizzcon2018 style cutscenes and instead they use basic TFT style cutscene
    still advertising 2018style cutscenes on their sales page
    removed the announced UI rework
    still advertising the UI rework
    audio got shafted through new localisation - german voices are now hilariously bad    … Expand

    Most of the features that were promised, didnt come true. This game is a huge disappointment for such a nostalic brand like Warcraft III.

    Do I really need to say? Everyone else has done a good job for me. People wouldn't be so angry if they just kept this game away from the original. Should of just changed it to Warcraft 3: Re-textured and charged less. It feels just like a DLC or High Res Mod pack so.... yeah.

    Отличная работа Blizzard!!! Сначала испоганили Диабло 3, потом загубили ХартСтоун, отказались от Героев Шторма, плюнули в лицо с мобильной Диабло, теперь это. Надеюсь вы вскоре закроетесь и понесете финансовые убытки

    Never Pre-order Anything. First time I've seen Blizzard put out a sub par game. Oh wait, its Activision Blizzard now. Won't refund games after false ads. Blizzard got in bed with a devil. Now its just Lies and Greed, cashing out on its name and the good will of fans. RIP old Blizzard

    Just no. 0 game time and still not getting refund. Everything promised was not there and they even managed to ruin perfect product while creating this pile of steaming piece of waste. Where is the blizzard I used to know. :(

    I did not bought the reforged game, but as it has locked my classic War3, which is now part of it, this should not be a problem to note it.
    LAN removed, buggy interface, unwanted features from reforged, all destroyed my game.

    Lies and unfulfilled promises. Wait... Did metacritic rank this game as the 13th best game of 2020? With a 64 CRITIC Metascore and a 0.5 user score surely there must have been more than 14 indie games released this year that have been better than worthless.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
