    Warcraft 3 Reforged takes a 17 year old game and resells it with false promises. Absolutely avoid. If you were swindled into buying this then get a refund.

    I am not sure about all the hate and issues here. I started playing right at launch, and did not experience 1 10th of the issues alot of people here claimed to have. Sure the classic launcher is no more, but how that impacts the play-ability and quality of this game is not relevant whatsoever. I have played both now, and enjoyed the experience each time, some graphics upgrades and evenI am not sure about all the hate and issues here. The game was very playable, the story remained in tact, and the graphics improved. I ran into a couple of minor glitches that were easily solved with a restart, but it was clearly optimized enough for modern PCs.

    Overall it was a remaster of the original and done right, compared to any other highly rated remasters, these one runs on par if not exceeds some of those others.

    If people expected a whole new game or expected no issues with online play as people wait every release to DDOS or interfere with Blizzard launches, then they are naive.

    I lost alot of faith in Blizzard over the years and don't agree with many things they have done, but this wasn't as bad a game as people claim (in before claims that I am a blizz fanboy).    … Expand

    Upon starting the game a few minutes after release, the lack of player profiles, ladder/ranking system, the "new" user interface and menu design that is somehow worse than it was in the classic Warcraft 3 game just made me really confused. Once I started the campaign I was amazed to see that somehow, even on the    I'm utterly disappointed. What they've done to this game is a disgrace.

    The versus (competitive) part of the game wasn't implemented at release. Linking your classic account does literally nothing. Most of the custom games don't even work. The chat window in the main menu is very laggy and unresponsive. You can't ignore or report people anywhere. Switching graphics to "classic mode" is not the same as graphics on the old client and the best thing is: the old client is just not available anymore, and there are many, many more bugs that I didn't include here...

    I literally can't find a reason why I would suggest anyone to buy this game. Especially after they started banning people on their own forums where people helped others on how to refund the game.

    Falsely advertised, downgraded, lazy and bugged product. This is joke not a game. Also for trying to play for around 2 hours I cant get a refund for this broken trash.

    So many things promised, nothing delivered.....
    If you owned the classic version, and bought this, you will lose it, so now you can't even play the original. They won't refund people and are out right banning people on the forums trying to help others refunding. The game is a total dumpster fire compared to the original.

The only reason this is not getting a 0 is due to the amazing work done on the new models, almost every unit has received a new models, several cities were redone as well such as Quel'thalas, Dalaran and Stratholme, so the game has positive aspects but this is where it ends.

    Furthermore you have broken promises, all the upgraded cutscenes shown in 2018 are gone, several advertised things have been removed, and a lot of features are gone such as cross-region custom games.

    Shaders, shadows and lights are unfinished, making the amazing new models look like weird plastic. This is just NOT okay for a 30-40 bucks reforged edition, promised to be much more than a remaster.
    Really, Warcraft 3 Reforged is a disaster and should not have come out in this state.    … Expand

    The game is a cash grab at a legendary series. The graphics look "better" but besides that, it's in every way worse than the original. Which btw received all of the technical issues that the reforged version has. Avoid this game. Avoid Blizzard.

    Childhood favorite game, been playing customs on it for almost two decades, now with the new "update" they introduce a main menu that somehow runs using CHROME? Disables old client which actually worked, un-dos all of the honestly pretty awesome work they did to stabilize pings for custom lobbies roughly six months ago (which was supposed to be in preparation for this? Like what??) and asChildhood favorite game, been playing customs on it for almost two decades, now with the new "update" they introduce a main menu that somehow runs using CHROME? Disables old client which actually worked, un-dos all of the honestly pretty awesome work they did to stabilize pings for custom lobbies roughly six months ago (which was supposed to be in preparation for this? Like what??) and as a cherry on top refuses to link my old account from the client that they deleted.

    One thing I will say is that despite all the negative reviews I actually do like the new models even if they could be better they're pretty nice, but if we've been playing this game for 17 years with AAA games coming out in that time obviously none of us were playing for the graphics. I'd love to see a revert of the menu and UI for battle.net custom lobbies, whilst keeping the little reforged slider in the options. If all this rework did was add that slider to the game it would have been better than this dumpster fire and satisfied me I was willing to pay 30$ just for the new models to get a fresh 50th replay on the campaign :/    … Expand

    Too much hope for this game. Turn out to be one of the worst games ive ever played. Everything is basically the same as the old warcraft except updated graphic. They should’ve named it Warcraft: just reskin.

    An absolute disaster, to resonate on a lot of the comments previously mentioned it feels like the old blizzard we knew is long gone. This is a broken product simply put. What's worst is that it breaks the original amazing game by migrating it over to the new battle.net system.

    Also destroyed the original version of WC3
    This is the biggest screw up of the DECADE
    I have been looking forward to the return of Warcraft
    since 2008 and this game blew me away alright.. IT BLOWS HARD

    Just bring back the original pls and I will install my Battle.net again, SC2 is dead, War3 is dead, Diablo is well dead, WoW is not my thing so...
    I do have phone Blizzard but I am a PC gamer, always has been until you go back to the OG Blizzard you have lost me as a customer.
    Until then I will play my pirated versions of Diablo2, SC, and War3 (FT) cheers ^^

    I checked the game for like 30 minutes and like i feel robbed so hard from this too the point i actually canceled my subscription on WoW because of this. Like I just don't understand how you take a 17-18 year old game, redo it and rework it and ruin both of them at once. it feels like a copy paste in a way also on top of taking things away you really can't do anything fun anymore like whatI checked the game for like 30 minutes and like i feel robbed so hard from this too the point i actually canceled my subscription on WoW because of this. Ive been a fan of blizzard ever since the warcraft series and starcraft series plus diablo on top of that because of how the games present an element of having fun trying too break the game making mini game within the game doing things with friends that love it like i do, it just hurts too see this fall over as it has done. On my recommendation I wouldn't pay for it right now until we see happens in a few weeks or so too see if blizzard(Activition) do anything about this fiasco of a game and now im very concerned how Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 in this case due too this. I hate too say it how blizzard is dead right now, and just like what was happening earlier with Hongkong. Please free Blizzard from this Activition bull crap.… Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
