    This starts off as being a great game; however, as you progress the game sets you up in the most unfair situations. You will be playing in a session with opponents that are 1.5-2+ higher than you are. While playing in tanks, I have hit an opponent point blank and barely damaged them; they hit me in response and kill me. Not fair and not realistic. Great graphics.     The game is good IF:

    - you play with low BR tanks or plane or ship. Forget about leopard , abrams etc... a few tanks are powerfull but the helicopter can kill you from their spawn etc.... meta of the game à hight battle rating is bad... very bad. - your map is a good one and there are 3 points = 2 map out of 3 are bads - you fight peoples on the same level than you. If you fight    The game is good IF:

    - You don't play somes countrys. You have to take a premium for somes countrys or you lose money and spits blood to play them.
    - You Pay to win. If you pay for a plane or a tank you get a better tank or plane than the one you can research. A lot of players have premium vehicules!

    Gaijin is removing iconic vehicles like the Maus and Panther II because such vehicles never entered full production or were just concepts, and according to Gaijin "the Maus is too strong when down tiered but to weak if up tiered, which is true for literally every vehicle in game.     A brilliant game like no other,with a very fun combat system and an economy designed to specifically juice as many dollars out of you as possible the moment you hit rank 4.

    Putting a score of one, because the product is sabotaged by an out of touch management team.

    de verdad no vale la pena perder el tiempo en este juego, la nación de la que es dueña el juego son inmortales y tienen muchas ventajas, es decir si no juegas con rusos no te vas a divertir , no esta balanceado a la hora de jugar y solo comerás frustraciones si no eres premiun , en otras palabras no jugar amenos que te guste los rusos no no tengas absolutamente anda mas que hacer

    So that's it, I'd you asked me about this game 3 years ago I'd say that it's a dream for a military enthusiasts, although grind was a bit hard but manageable, but as of now things changed, through years of constant developers' greed the game is in almost unplayable state for any new player, and even veterans have hard time enjoying it. Until situation improves I advise against playing this game.

    The worst multiplayer junk I have ever come across. The game is completely unbalanced and flooded with physics issues which sadly make the game very frustrating even when you play well and are at the top. Writing this review after playing it for 2 years. A score of 1 for the great variety of vehicles and
    models faithful to the originals.

    _It'll be fun if you're a noob that keeps dying. Why? Because the "supreme russian balance" algorithm which takes K/D raito into account will group you with generally decent players.     _Yet, for real issues like: ultra-low graphics, invisible obstacles, **** latency that causes the one who shoot first miss, unbalace BR. Gaijin has no intention to tackle them. Even worse, recently they keep adding irrelevant contents and slowly change the game into a mere FPS game but sucks hard. In short, the game has turned into a pure pay2win game that keeps accumulating issues.
    _It's worth noting that all the high score reviews here either paid or from people who've paid tributes to gaijin.
    P/S: 1 point for trying to keep a dead game alive since 2015    … Expand

Bombing and Air-strikes have ridiculously made playing Tanks unplayable unless you are a pay to win player. You get bombed so much you can't even fairly combat against enemy tanks. If you are in a good fighting position they will just drop an air-strike right on you. It has made me hate the game and become totally frustrated. I am just about to delete this game and stop playing all together. The game play sucks now. Pay to win players have an extreme advantage over you. Blows… Expand

    Grind is extreme, even with premium time and vehicles.

    If you do badly in match you lose in game currency which you need to progress. Premium vehicles are expensive (costs as much as some video games for one vehicle). Grind that is reasonable at the start but brutal immediately after in order to frustrate the player into spending money. Various balance issues.     A focus on adding and marketing vehicles at an increasingly unobtainable top tier which requires large in game purchases and or 100s of hours to reach.

    Battle rating compression, and balancing based on player performance, this leads to players regularly having to face vehicles which completely outclass their vehicle, especially in the lesser played tech trees.

    Focus on adding more vehicles as opposed to adding or improving game modes.

    Recent economy changes that made things worse.

    A brilliant game with immense possibily ruined by greedy developers. WT couldve been a great game but its nothing more than a chore. You have to work your ass off just to be able to playe the vehicles you own. Thats ofc considering that you have actually managed to grind your life off getting that said vehicle.

    Fun gameplay, horrible economy and grind. If you saw trailers and want to play your favourite modern MBT or jet fighter prepare for months, if not years of grinding through ww2 vehicles. Or you can just buy one for $60 and get obliterated in every game by people who have over 2000 hours of playtime.

    I have over 1,000 hours in the game and I can say the game is good for about a month or two before the thin veneer of a well-balanced and well-designed free-to-play game erodes. If you care about the game and want to play it, the developers will find ways to frustrate you into buying in-game currency, premium time, or premium vehicles. Mention the blatant bias and disrespect the devs and publishers have for the player base. They do what they want to grab as much money as they can.

    I played this game since closed beta testing and was loving it. However, I stopped playing some time ago because the economy was getting worse and worse, and grind got unbearable even with premium account and premium vehicles.
    I hope they introduce some positive changes but, as they were decreasing rewards for couple of years already, I don't see it coming.

    It was a fun, excellent game. There is a high possibility of development. However, Gaijin's anti-gamer behavior, unethical, miserable, disastrous, despondent, hopeless, selfish, discriminatory, shameful and hopeless operating methods are increasingly destroying the original value of the game. Should customers be constantly sacrificed for Gaijin's pride?

    Used to be amazing for the first few years after release. But the Devs have turned it into a moneysponge. Every update is a new "feature" to make the game less playable. It's not free to play, it's not pay to win, it's *subscribe* to win. You need to pay hundreds, if not thousands in real money to enjoy the game any more. Which is a shame as it has SO much potential.     Also players that pay usually get a buff which Breaks pvp

    One of the cornerstones of War Thunder is that player’s skill is more important than his wallet. Premium vehicles offer no combat advantages, there is no “microtransaction-only” ammo or consumables, so no amount of cash will buy you a spot on the top of the food chain. [Issue#216, p.56]

    The official launch of War Thunder reminded me why I like this game so much. It's adorably chaotic - in contrast to the reliably designed World of Tanks. That's why it can be really fun and frustrating at the same time. There's tons of great vehicles (and the planes are superb!) and a difficult simulation mode, but there are also balance and technical issues.
