Jun 23, 2026Voidling Bound is a great monster taming game. It offers a plethora of different species, and the ability to experiment as you try to make the best, most powerful monsters you can. Additionally, the gameplay is very good, it’s engaging, and you have access to a wide variety of customization options as well. For me, it felt like a creature collector’s dream, and being able to control those creatures during planetary missions is the cherry on the top. Not everything is perfect, though. Getting resources tends to be a grind a lot of the time, and some of the mission structures are repetitive. However, the game’s mechanics and fun planetary gameplay more than makes up for the grind. It’s an excellent game for anyone who wants to chill out and relax as they put on their scientist hat and experiment to create the perfect creature.

Jun 15, 2026Voidling Bound could use a few quality-of-life improvements, but is otherwise an excellent, fun-to-play, and incredibly unique entry into the creature collector genre. The game has a great setting, an appealing gameplay loop, and a nice message about conservation that manages not to feel preachy or in your face. I highly recommend this title for fans of the genre or those looking for a unique new shooter.

Jun 9, 2026Voidling Bound could be a real sleeper hit for me. I know the gaming lineup in 2027 is extremely stacked right now, but I think this is a fantastic game to jump into for some light challenge, unique sci-fi ideas, and incredible variety. The game controls well, has well-designed and well-realized planets, and features Voidling creatures that are always fun to play. Voidling Bound offers plenty of opportunities to explore fresh RPG mechanics, which I had a fantastic time learning and mastering.

Jun 9, 2026Voidling Bound is a phenomenal game with a lot of great parts that culminate in something truly unique. While it certainly isn't perfect and suffers from the same afflictions as similar games, what is there will keep players engaged and wanting more. If I could levy one major complaint against the game, it's that I want so much more of this game. Fantastic combat and a colorful world make Voidling Bound a game that's very much worthwhile.
-
Jun 15, 2026Voidling Bound offers silly repetitive fun, especially if you have ever wished you could control your turn-based creature battlers directly, 3rd person shooter style. I had a great time, and whilst I'm sure mileage might vary, I recommend giving it a go.

Jun 10, 2026Voidling Bound successfully channels the spirit of Skylanders while adding enough fresh ideas to stand on its own. A few rough edges keep it from greatness, but the thrill of discovering, evolving, and engineering new creatures makes the journey well worth taking.
-
Jun 9, 2026Voidling Bound is an interesting and unique take on the creature collector style, and its stylized focus helps it stand out from the pack. The decision to only have 9 creatures that can branch out makes each one feel significantly different from each other. The evolutionary lines and progression systems feel rewarding and distinct, and some of the areas in the hub help streamline and speed up the process to make the grind feel less obnoxious. The missions can feel a little bit repetitive, and it’s easy to focus on one or two creatures instead of all of them, but that doesn’t take away from how rewarding it feels to make them progressively stronger.
-
Jun 10, 2026Voidling Bound manages to blend a retro feel with elements of modern game design. The gameplay systems have surprising depth, which isn't really taken advantage of in fairly simplistic combat encounters. It's a game that's highly entertaining for a few hours, but fizzles out after the novelty wears off.
-
Jun 9, 2026In the end, Voidling Bound presents as a whimsical, extraterrestrial zoo that delivers on quirky fun, but somehow falls short on difficulty, content and the sort of production touches that would truly make this odd world come to life.

Jun 11, 2026There is a lot to love about Voidling Bound despite its story and missions relying on frustrating grind and predictable objectives. Still, the core gameplay remains engaging enough to carry the experience, especially when experimenting with increasingly powerful Voidlings. Once you get past the mutational flaws in its lack of variety, there is a surprising amount of fun to be had. Much of that comes from its deep customization, supported by its Evolution and Splicing systems, which encourage constant tinkering and creativity that keeps you bound for hours on end.
-
Jun 17, 2026A compact-but-deep monster taming playset that’s built around (near) endless replayability and customisation. It looks great, and feels slick for the most part, but you’ll need to dial up the difficulty if you don’t want to burn through every stage in an afternoon.
-
Jun 9, 2026While it may not prove to be the next step in evolution, Voidling Bound's strong visuals and polished gameplay make for an entertaining experience, one that is worth having in the creature-collector family tree.
-
Jun 11, 2026Voidling Bound boasts a fantastic premise, blending creature collecting, evolution, breeding, and third-person shooter combat into a uniquely engaging experience that often feels like a mix of Spore, Risk of Rain, and Pokémon. Discovering new evolution paths, collecting parts, and experimenting with gene splicing provides plenty of creative enjoyment, but the game's potential is held back by uneven balance, simplistic combat, and an endgame that lacks meaningful challenge.
