Aug 14, 2012A nice, short little puzzle that entertains for five hours and shows a good use of the Unreal Engine.
-
Oct 27, 2012This physics based puzzle game is gorgeous to look at, with the Unreal Engine providing some spooky visuals that blur the line between the mechanical and organic matter. Unfortunately the experience is over too quickly for you to really enjoy the experience.

PC PowerPlayOct 11, 2012Hypnotic experience. [Oct 2012, p.72]

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Oct 10, 2012Cosy 2.5D puzzler comes with a plethora of creative tasks and a visually stunning world. The shortness is its only weakness. [Sept 2012]

Aug 30, 2012Unmechanical is a puzzle games that offers a pretty, but all too familiar experience of solving difficult puzzles in order to advance through a subterranean underworld. Easy and minimalistic controls make the game easy enough to pick up for gamers of any skill level, but some of the more complex puzzles may put them off or force them to seek out solutions. If it's a challenge you seek, Unmechanical will give it to you.

Aug 24, 2012Unmechanical is a pretty and pleasant puzzler, though it doesn't make a lasting impression.
-
Aug 8, 2012Thanks to a generally well done puzzle design, the Swedish game Unmechanical offers good entertainment that manages to stick out in the crowd of indie games despite a few borrowed concepts.
-
Aug 1, 2012Graphics aside, it's a short and sweet adventure that's a fun way to spend a few hours, but nothing to write home about. The puzzles are interesting while they last but are done and forgotten very quickly. There's no bigger picture or point to solving the puzzles other than to get to the next one, and that isn't quite enough for me to say it's a great game.
-
Oct 22, 2012A title with some good aspects, especially like the scenario, the gameplay and the graphic appearance; a poor length and a low level of difficulty, though, don't allow Unmechanical to reach a higher rating.
-
Aug 20, 2012The game is easily short enough to finish in an afternoon even if you're doing other things at the same time. Its finale feels even more abrupt than it is, because there's no crescendo of difficulty or complexity, no "boss" puzzle. With little warning, Unmechanical simply ends, and without a strong story or memorable puzzles to hang its hat on, it fails to leave a mark, despite its lovely visuals.
-
Aug 30, 2012Unmechanical is nice to look at, but overly simple and not that interesting.
