Aug 16, 2016I've played this game for 40-50 min. and I don't get praise so far, game has some simple puzzles and annoying easy encounters with enemy/friendly monsters. Even if you get into serious fight it is too simple yet dodging can be hard, moving hearth/souls in box is not really top notch gameplay in 80s and 90s definitely but not anymore.

Aug 25, 2023One of the most overrated games of its time. I didn't understand why it was loved then and I don't understand why it's loved now. Even if I have nothing else to do in life, it's not a game I'll spend time with. It might make a good animated movie, but it's not worth playing as a game.

Feb 26, 2020Not for me I guess, why is this on the pc, would have been fun on a gameboy long ago

Feb 22, 2016I WANT to like this game, I really do. I just don't. Nothing about the game held my interest after around 2 hours of playing it. This is one of those games that is trying to send a message, it's real nice and all but it doesn't make for a fun game. This game is absolutely not for everyone, myself included. I fell for the hype, now I need a refund.

Mar 18, 2022Im sorry, but I dont get it. I was so excited to play through this game, but was left widely disappointed. Going through this was a slog. Perhaps I didnt get the humor. Perhaps I didnt get the nuance of the story. Overall, this game didnt grab me.

Jun 28, 2022I just found the gameplay frustrating and the characters constantly obnoxious; I guess it's not for me. Nice music though.

Dec 17, 2016Completely overrated. This game tries too hard to be original and smart, but becomes neither in the end.
Cannot play it past 20 minutes - so very boring. -
Jul 20, 2017Honestly, one of the worst RPGs of all time. It copies from better games (Earthbound, Shin Megami Tensei, NieR, Final Fantasy VI), the characters are one-note idiots. The story is nothing spectacular, as is the music. There are huge difficulty spikes. It isn't even good-looking pixel-art and it throws morals down your throat. Do not waste your money on this

Jan 16, 2017Undertale is absolutely unique. It's a RPG masterpiece full of weird characters and a moving message.

Mar 4, 2016With multiple endings based on how you choose to play out your run, set pieces that can play out very differently based on your actions and so many incredible moments that we’d love to share but daren’t do so for risk of spoiling anything, Undertale is easily one of the indie standouts of last year.

Feb 23, 2016Through a combination of often relaxed but sometimes tense gameplay, a dreamy atmosphere, and genuine characters that feel like they’re actually alive and all living together in this isolated society of longing, Undertale transcends its medium and becomes a genuinely moving experience I would recommend to anyone who is open to a sometimes sorrowful, sometimes hilarious, always bizarre and engaging emotional journey.
