Pelit (Finland)Oct 19, 2011Trapped Dead has a nice idea but degenerates to a simplistic RTS. [Sept 2011]
-
Mar 16, 2011Trapped Dead is well worth it for the retro zombie fans out there.
-
Mar 28, 2011Trapped Dead has several original ideas and use the zombie apocalypse setting as no one else has ever done. Pity then that it falls under the blows of too many defects and a rough implementation.
-
Dec 30, 2010If you always wanted to try a zombie game, in which tactics are more crucial than action, you should play Trapped Dead.
-
PC GamerSep 13, 2011Earns points for originality, but with better pacing and a heftier casting budget, it could have been a much better zombie game contender. [Nov 2011, p.79]
-
Dec 20, 2010Doesn't live up to its potential. The game can be fun, but never feels right. Well done, but missed the mark.
-
May 30, 2011Trapped Dead isn't a good game: just the multiplayer is worth chekcing out with a friend, but in the end it doesn't save a low-budget product, lacking polish and some focus on the gameplay.
-
PC PowerPlayMay 22, 2011Not brainy enough to satisfy the hunger of zombified strategy enthusiasts. [June 2011, p.69]
-
Feb 7, 2011As it stands, there's hardly ever a reason to go beyond the obviously marked out route to the objective, as there'll not ever really be anything that interesting to find if you do.
-
Aug 12, 2011Killing the first few zombies in the tutorial level alone shows the violence and tactical planning that could have made the game something special. As you progress however, all the bugs, all the inconsistent controls, all the unbalanced gameplay, and the awful checkpoint system completely ruin the experience.
-
CD-ActionAug 2, 2011Slow pace wouldn't have to be a drawback if it wasn't for sparse checkpoints. In case of suffering defeat just an inch from one you just don't want to waste your time on trudging across the same area. [August 2011, p.58]
-
PC Games (Russia)May 6, 2011Trapped Dead is boring, monotonous and simply worthless. It only copes with nice visuals, but everything else is very low-budget. [June 2011, p. 101]
-
Jul 22, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
-
Aug 17, 2011Returning to the horror genre's roots might be a good idea, but Trapped Dead doesn't offer convincing evidence of the idea's merits. It fumbles at every step except -- with the possible exception of mimicking comic books in its menus and cutscenes.
